Red Snapper Inc
Dec 14, 2007 by Janice from Pagosa Springs

Overall Rating: 7 User Rating Score: 7
Food:[8] • Service:[8] • Atmosphere:[7]

  • Consistently good quality and service.
  • Sometimes noisy.

“This is my husband's favorite restaurant in Durango. We have always enjoyed it and the food and service is consistently good. We don't usually go in for salad bars, but this is the exception.”

Mama's Boy Italian Ristorante
Aug 18, 2007 by Leonard from Dallas, TX

Overall Rating: 8 User Rating Score: 8
Food:[10] • Service:[10] • Atmosphere:[8]

  • Good food, great service.
  • Nothing bad to say about this place.

“The food was excellent, we ate there twice in our 3 day stay. The wait staff went beyond be mere service to their customers they really cared for us. The first time we had a waitress that was constantly making sure that our every need was met and did so in a very friendly manner. On our second visit we arrived late, just 3 minutes before closing and the waiter not seated us, but also suggested 2 meals that could be prepared quickly. This is after the restaurant in the Strater Hotel refused to serve us.”

Sweeneys Fine Dining
Mar 31, 2007 by Jim from Cortez, CO

Overall Rating: 1 User Rating Score: 1
Food:[3] • Service:[3] • Atmosphere:[4]

  • It was clean.
  • Service, food preparation.

“My wife and I had been to Sweeney's twice before and really enjoyed ourselves. However, the last time we went, they must have changed management because the service was slow and the fish I ordered came frozen in the middle. I would not go back.”

Kachina Kitchen
May 29, 2006 by Jim from Kansas City

Overall Rating: 1 User Rating Score: 1
Food:[1] • Service:[1] • Atmosphere:[1]

  • I liked the name.
  • Everything else.

“The name Kachina Kitchen drew us in, but it did not live up to this. They claim "authentic Mexican and Indian food". No Mexicans or Native Americans in sight, either working or eating there, should have been our first clue to the food quality. We were greeted with little more than a glare from the blonde teen behind the counter. I received a tortilla filled with cold water logged ground beef and a side of beans that was barely edible. Go to Taco Bell for better food for less money!! ”

Chez Grandmere
Apr 10, 2006 by Stacey L. from Cleveland

Overall Rating: 10 User Rating Score: 10
Food:[10] • Service:[9] • Atmosphere:[10]

  • The mouthwatering food wine and dessert cart. Accommodated children by altering menu and portions.
  • Lag time between people getting their food.

“I had my wedding reception there in 2000. Phenomenal food and very accommodating. I was so disappointed to find my half eaten food gone when I returned form changing out of my wedding gown. Disappointed because it was so very good. We had duck, beef tenderloin, lamb, free range chicken and salmon. We had trouble with our guests getting served at different times since the party was 30 and more, then the restaurant was full. However, the wine and champagne was great. They accommodated a special request for something not on the wine list and ordered it ahead for our function. Every dish was outstanding, and the service was polite and helpful. We had a great evening, and I would recommend this for an event or a nice getaway with the sweetheart. They also worked out a less expensive, smaller portion menu for the 4, 7 and 9 year old we had with us. We celebrated my stepson's birthday at the reception, and they brought the dessert cart out with birthday candles all over the cakes. Great people and willing to work with you to make a special night. Class act all the way.”
