“HUGE ENORMOUS room, gorgeous furnishings, contemporary, beautiful art, and comfortable furnishings. down, amazing beds; pure luxury! And the bellmen washed my car windows with a smile!”

“I think this hotel thinks they know what customer service is, but vastly misses the mark. Checking in was frustrating, the keys had to be re-keyed like 3 times and we had to use two elevators to get to our room. Other people seemed to have to have their keys re-keyed a few times as well. It was not restful at all. There were a zillion other instances of just rudeness and weirdness by the staff.”

“Don't stay here until their parking garage has finished its renovation. Car valet service was a nightmare, we called down to have our car pulled up, we were told it would be 10 minutes, we went down to check out and arrived within 15 minutes of requesting our car be pulled up. We discovered later after waiting for over 75 minutes for the car that the valet could not find the car as the reason it took so long. With the parking garage closed the valet's have to go almost 7 blocks to find places to park cars parked through the valet, guess the guy that parked our car didn't document very well where he took our car to be parked overnight? As luck would have it, we were in a hurry being that it was a Monday morning.”

“One does not go to Paris on the Platte for sandwiches, nor do they go there expecting a Starbucks like experience. It is predominately a late-night coffeehouse (that happens to serve food.) You go there to indulge in poetic inspirations, debate pseudo-philosophy with friends, or brush shoulders with a more eclectic crowd.”

“This tiny room with one double bed right across from the elevator was the smallest, supposed 4-star, room I have ever stayed in. For example, the nightstand was attached to the wall and was only 10 inches wide, the same distance as the bed was from the wall. The single sink in the bathroom was only 24 inches wide and had a hairdryer and box of tissues perched on its edges. The tub drain sounded like it had a vacuum attached to it to make it drain; `loud¿ does not describe it adequately. The bed was comfortable but only a double, we were told it was the only room they had available. On the other hand, the restaurant was open late and had fabulous food and a great wait staff! Overall, not a 4-star experience except for the food.”

“The drawer in the room was very small. First night, I woke up early in the morning because of strange electrical noise. I could not figure out where it came from. I was not able to go back to sleep because of the noise. Also, there was not directory (information book) of the hotel facilities in the room and I did not know that they provide their guests with free Internet connection in the lobby area. I ended up buying a connection in the room just in order to check e-mails. I spoke to the hotel and they gave me refund though. Also, without the information book, I had to keep asking them where the pool, the gym were located and what the check out time was. They should have provided their guests with that kind of information. Also draining in the bath tub was very bad and surface of the water came up to my ankles while taking shower which was quite uncomfortable. I spoke to them and no response at all.”

“The location was Perfect for every activity in Denver. However; I prefer not to sleep in a cockroach infested room. The cockroaches were the size of a small mice. This is not what I expected from this Hotel.”

“Very nice, clean, friendly staff. The room was great. My only complaint was that there was only one elevator, it was hard to find and it was a long walk to the room.”

“Unfriendly staff, the elevators were very slow, and outdated, very warm and small and tight. we were stuck and other guests had their dogs and they were just as anxious. I didn't like and would never recommend this hotel.”

“We had an excellent overall stay. Location was within walking distance of several great restaurants, shops and a free bus system. A bit disappointed with the internet service. Otherwise a 4 star stay.”

“The hotel was very clean and conveniently located. Driving through downtown and finding the hotel was stressful after a long days drive. My mother was very disappointed that they charged so much for parking. However, with the money we saved through Priceline, we still got a good deal. However, with the exception of the amenities and location the hotel room was just as nice as newly renovated 3 star hotels. I guess you're paying for amenities!”

“Main entrance was closed and difficult to notice as you approach. Once you do arrive be perpared to be greeted no less than 5 times before you get to check in. There is no self parking so you must pay a dailey valet fee of $26. Your other option is to park somewhere else but you won't have access to your vehicle after hours according to the front desk. Pretty crummy to hold you hostage for the valet parking. If this hotels self parking is unavailable then they should cut the valet fee.”

“The room was on the 19th floor, but didn't have a view. The room was very warm and the air conditioning had to run constantly but still did not get the room to a good temperature till the middle of the night. The bathroom door sticks, so you get stuck in the bathroom for 2-3 minutes till you figure out how to open it. There is no phone to call for help. There was 6 elevators for the 21 floors, but 3 of them I never saw running. One of the 3 elevators that did run was half sized and another skipped floors, so you may get your floor or you may not. This was not a good set up because they had a large conference of children staying at this hotel. This put a high demand on the 3 elevators, we were lucking to get an elevator within 10 minutes. No free wifi, they charge for toll-free calls, parking is $21 a night, and the bedsheets were stained but they did come to change them. Last but not least, the fire alarm went off and we did not hear it in our room. We noticed it was going off when we went out for dinner, and we heard it had been going off for a while.”

“Loved the remodeled room and we loved we got a corner room with so many windows. My sister's room was an inner room and her view was of other rooms and an art sculpture. I wouldn't recommend those rooms.”

“Great location to downtown and Coors field. Really found the staff helpful and courteous. Only down side was the pool being closed and the parking fee of $21.00 a night seemed step(didn't know this until after we booked.) Plenty of restaurants on the mall to choose from. Once we figured out the one way streets we got around pretty well. The other thing was the lobby is on one side of the street and our room was on the other so we always had to go outside to cross over the street, or use the elevators to go up or down to use the bridge over. Overall the hotel was very nice, the remodel was obvious, and the room pretty good sized. Plenty of areas to sit back and relax if you want to get out of your room.”

“This hotel was very clean and comfortable. The location is right on 16th street, but a bit far from downtown Denver (Lo-do) if you plan to walk. The room was very spacious and affordable. The elevators going from one building to another (there are two buildings that house guests) were confusing, and parking in the hotel's garage was $21. Other than that great stay.”

“The hotel initially met expectations, but things went downhill quickly. When we tried to use the bathroom the toilet was clogged, and the shower spigot fell off in my hand! When informed of the situation, the front desk merely thanked us for the information; there was no apology, commitment to repair, or offer tho even exchange rooms. None of these issues were fixed before we left the hotel at 8:00 the next morning.”

“Worst service experience I have had in a while. My guest and I had one hour for lunch. When we arrived, there were three other tables occupied. After 45 minutes there was no sign of our food. I asked them to box it up because we were out of time. I still waited for another 10 minutes.”

“The hotel is nice, but the parking garage cost $21 a night which I thought was pretty high. Just wish they would have had a fridge in the room.”

“The hotel is going through major renovation. You need a card to swipe on the elevator to get to your floor, I felt like a terrorist. The pool was not working, and the thermostat wasn't either, it was cold in the room. There was an empty box where the refrigerator should have been, only one towel and the small dresser was in the closet. You have to pay 6 dollars for 15 minutes of computer usage, and they do not sell stamps for post cards.”

“Great location and wonderful hotel staff. I can walk to Convention Center and other attractions. But during the period I stayed in hotel, I always had difficult time to find my room and access parking garage. In addition, I can hear people live next door sneezing and coughing.”

“Best authentic Italian feel in Colorado. My favorite: Italian dressing, spinach, cream sauce, chicken Milanese and broccoli! Can be pricey and you need to arrive before 12:30 pm for the best selection. Overall one of my favorite lunch spots in all of Denver!”

“The drink prices were great. My server was very personable and helpful with menu suggestions. The food was about what you'd expect from any bar, the wings were good and the burgers big and greasy. This place is nothing beyond a neighborhood bar, but it was still a fun atmosphere that I will definitely frequent when I'm in town!”

“While the hotel was in an excellent location, the room was tiny and amenities poor. There was work being done right outside our room at 8am, which was terrible as we were leisure travelers and wanted to sleep in. I was very disappointed.”

“Our stay was for 1 week. The maid service was inconsistent (one day we had coffee and water, the next none). There was a horrible sulphur smell in the elevators, halls, and room the last two nights. The lobby and restaurant was nice and the hotel was a great location. Election night parties were loud and crazy. Overall stay was good.”

“This is a good hotel with every convenience of being located in the heart of Denver. The room was nice, comfortable and small amenities like a nice coffee pot with Star bucks coffee, a loofah sponge along with shower gels, etc. made the stay nice.”

“The food was disgusting and inedible: The chips were old & tough. The pork was not in a sauce but looked like small gray snails without a shell. The cheese sauce was a greenish squirt. The corn soup was as tasteless as the can of corn they dumped it out of. By the look of things, I honestly thought we had a good chance of getting food poisoning The bill was over $30. There was no manager to complain to. I was so upset that I tracked them down through their attorney and the web.”

“The Sheraton situated downtown 16th St Mall in Denver was a great place to land. Room were comfortable and clean. Looks like a major renovation was about to ensue days after we left. It needs it. Hall carpets, fixtures, gym looking a little shabby.”

“The sandwiches are huge! And very tasty. It's not a place to bring kids though (used to be a strip club and some of the decor reflects that). They also have soups, salads and yummy cookies and other treats.”
