“My wife and I stopped in at noon on a Sunday. The hostess was totally indifferent and appeared as if we had interrupted what ever she had going on. She just walked to a table without us, no right this way, will this table do, how is your day, etc. The waitress was polite, friendly and the best part of our dining experience. My wife ordered a turkey melt, the turkey was dried out, the coleslaw was old. I ordered potato pancakes. Came out overdone and tasteless. Obviously must have used commercial, precut, frozen, potatoes. We could have done better at McDonald's.”

“I went to Bentley's with two of my friends, over the X games week back in January. When we first walked in, we were a little confuse about the seating situation, since there were no hosts or hostesses to seat us. I also did not see a sign to direct us to either, seat ourselves or wait for the hostess to seat us. Finally someone told us that it was self-seating, so we found our own table. (I believe that person who told us was another customer and not someone who worked for the restaurant). A busboy approached us, and dumped a pile of napkins and silverware in the middle of the table. Around the same time, our waitress comes over, looks at the pile of napkins and says in an annoyed tone, that's too many napkins. The busboy leaves, without making our table. We picked up the pile of silverware and napkins in the middle of the table and proceed to do the job ourselves. Then we place our order. The meal is taking a very long time, and we happen to notice that other customers sitting around us, who arrived a while after us are getting their meals before us. And not just not soups and salads and easy-to-prepare food, but some of the exact same meals that we had ordered. My friend tells the waitress, that we have been waiting a long while, and that the other customers who arrived after us received their meals before us. The waitress yells at her, informs her that it's not her fault that the food is taking awhile, but the fault of the cooks in the kitchen, and then leaves. About a minute or two later, the manager approaches our table, livid, and yells at us, telling us that it's not the waitress fault but the fault of the 75,000 people at the restaurant, and that it's a busy weekend and that's why we do not have our food. After he finishes yelling at us he promptly walks away, leaving us in shock. We ended up canceling our meal and leaving the restaurant. I don't know about the quality of the food at Bentley's because I never had the chance to taste it, but I do know that the service is terrible, the people who work there are rude, and that the staff and management are incompetent at customer service and managing. It may have been a busy week, but somehow every other bar and restaurant we went to that week were able to accommodate, and fairly treat their customers.”

“I spent a few weeks in Aspen over the summer, but didn't discover Poppycocks until my last week there. I was blown away by their unique oatmeal pancakes, and ate breakfast there every day for the rest of my time there. We brought home some of their packaged pancake mix, and although it isn't nearly as good as when they make it, my whole family loves it! We're making another order today, and will certainly make this spot one of our regular stops on future trips to the area. Outstanding!”

“I had a grilled turkey sandwich on sour dough bread with avocado, cheese, lettuce and tomatoes with a side salad of mixed greens. My friends had breakfast items and they were pleased as well.”

“Poppycock's is an absolutely amazing diner atmosphere restaurant but here you will find no diner food. poppycock's is the perfect way to start off you're day in Aspen. With their absolutely (my personal favorite) delicious oatmeal pancakes you could never go wrong. I would recommend this to anybody who has the chance to stop by and give it a try.”

“Perhaps the snobbiest restaurant in Aspen. Reservations would be recommended. We arrived, the hostess told us we could wait 15 to 20 minutes for an inside table or go sit under an umbrella by the hotel pool. I went out to look at the poolside tables (to see if they were worth the immediate seating), then came back in because I did not see any open tables. The hostess seemed very annoyed and reiterated her offer for an inside table. After we were eventually seated, our waitress arrived and took orders. The food was, overall, very good, although my ravioli was undercooked and not very warm. On average, a person would spend about twenty to twenty-five dollars on lunch (including tip). Unfortunately, someone made a bit of a poor call by using plastic plates fashioned to look like wood.”

“Cooper Street is the cheapest bar in town and the locals love it! If you are visiting Aspen please do not come to Cooper Street expecting the 5 star celebrity treatments you receive everywhere else in town. The Cooper Street staff is well known, and liked for their blunt and unforgiving service. If you ask for the wine list be prepared to get run out of the bar! Beer and well drinks are the specialty at Cooper. Looking for service with a smile? Then don't bother coming in....Looking for cheap food, strong drinks, and a good game of pool? This is your spot! Parties of five or more will have gratuity added. And if you walk in with a family that has many children you will receive the worst service of all. You will literally see every employee in the place roll their eyes in disgust at children! Recently Cooper street has opened a bar in the basement called The Last Stand. It was formed by locals who feel the town is being taken over by the money hungry folk. The Last Stand boasts local live music almost every night, in a red lit room. The drinks are still cheap, priced the same as the upstairs original bar. Worth checking out any night of the week, as long as you are not a slimy rich tourist! Cheers!”

“Perhaps the toughest piece of meat I've ever been served at a so-called steak restaurant. The service was OK for a burger-joint, but not what you would expect from a steak place. They apparently don't know the difference between rare and medium. We ordered two steaks, the medium was medium rare and the rare was medium+. Both were tough as saddle leather. Frankly, I expect better from an Aspen restaurant, and so should you. There is an excellent alternative just upstairs, but this is not a review of their restaurant, so I'll let you find it.”

“The presentation is unique, artistic, beautiful. The food is beyond delicious. A very romantic decor, but the tables in the upper balcony are
