“I love the Medallions on the dinner menu and the chopped sirloin. The food was great and the prices are very reasonable. I found their menu online all of their menu items are listed so it was nice to see what they offer before I went.”

• The menu is too small.

“The menu has only a hand full of choices between hot dog, hamburger, fries, and a veggie burger are just about the only thing this restaurant serves.”

• Quality ingredients, dont skimp, good value.
• My have to reheat to restore chrunch, easy though.

“This is a great new york style pizza ,thin tasty,don't skimp, quality ingredients. Also decent bbq ribs, chicken..........the price is right and they leave good coupons when you order...they have been around for like 20 years or more, people keep going back. sometimes reheating the pizza helps if its gotten soggy from long deliveries. Reheat in an nonstick pan on medium until the crust is crunchy and enjoy...my go to pizza place.”

• Food quality, slow service.

“There are way better restaurants for breakfast in Walnut Creek! I had breakfast here once and had to wait for a table for 3 for about 20 minutes, had horribly weak/burnt coffee with greasy eggs, yuck. The food quality is clearly subpar here. Try any other place but here.”

• Sushi is always fresh.
• Can take a couple of tries to get tea.

“I eat here at least 2  3 times a month. The food and price are great; however, they are a little lacking in service. They just hired some male waiters who are pretty good, so it has gotten better. Last time I was there was the first time we didnt have to ask for tea. I think the food is worth a trip there and the restaurant is very clean and has attractive decor. They have some very nice wood sculptures.”

• Excellent food, excellent service, excellent wine.
• Decor outdated, lighting too bright for evening dinner.

“Excellent Italian food. The best I have had in Walnut Creek yet. Starting with the bread and garlic olive oil dip, everything is delicious! The food portions are not too big and the food tastes authentically home made. I highly recommend Salvatore.”

“The staff is not experienced at all and they were rude. We had to ask several times for drinks and they also did not bring our food out together, so I sat there eating my meal while my partner had to wait on his meal.”

“Four of us ladies went for lunch on may 11th. We had to ask twice for hot tea (usually it's the first thing on your table) and after ordering my two daughters and my mother were served. I had to wait 8 minutes for my (for god's sake one dragon roll) meal and within that 8 minutes got up and spoke to two different employees about my meal each time I got a smile and a nod then they walked off. Still no food.”

• No House of Sake in London.

“In my world travels, this is the best sushi restaurant by far. Used to live in San Ramon, went up to Walnut Creek all the time to their first restaurant. They moved to Civic Drive, and the new place is great too. Very nice place as far as a facility goes. But, when you want sushi, you want the best. And House of Sake offers just that. The fish is always very fresh, and they offer a variety of "non-traditional" rolls and such. A favorite is the "Godzilla Roll", which is a tempura battered tuna roll, with a spicy topping. Served hot, it's always a treat. The seaweed salad is very good there, along with cucumber salad. All else I've had there I've enjoyed. All in all, I think this is a great place. Whenever I'm in San Francisco, I make a point of getting out to Walnut Creek. Not associated with House of Sake, just love the place! James is the owner, tell him that Tom from Chicago sent you!”

• Everything - salad, pizza, wings.

“Take out: Was so bad, I have only eaten one slice and will not eat any more. The worst pizza I've ever had in my life. Caesar salad was a bit of lettuce with store-bought dressing. Buffalo wings were the worst crap I have ever seen. Buffalo sauce? A tiny bit of Safeway hot sauce on top of the smallest wings I've ever seen.”

• The burgers were great. I loved the fresh ground beef and barbecue feeling.
• I wish they had curly fries.

“I went to George's after reading about it in the newspaper. It was named the #1 restaurant for "manly hamburgers". The burgers do live up to the title. They were made from fresh ground beef and tasted just like a home barbecue. They also have fresh toppings and a nice atmosphere. Beside burgers there isn't much of a selection but if a burger is what you're craving then I suggest you go. It's located right across from the Kiser hospital in Walnut Creek. Enjoy!”

“I love the Magic Garlic, always a good place to stop. Great food, good variety, quiet tables, good service. My favorite is the shrimp with blue cheese & garlic. Tried the garlic ice cream, too, pretty neat. Take out works well, too. Wish I could visit more often. ”
