“It was exceptional and always is! Its pricey but, prices are good for the portions they provide and the entertainment. You get excellent food. We now go there all the time for special occasions!”

“This local restaurant has an elegant, yet down-to-earth aquatic theme, wonderful seafood, as well as crispy wines and beers to go with it. Creatively prepared and presented food is high points, as it serves both local residents and travelers well. The location in a small shopping center just out-side town as well as the quality of the appropriately priced food keeps the student population down and the customers a little more mature. Often there is lively music of local artists.”

“A lovely restaurant, especially for you & a significant other. The piano player was great, the atmosphere was lovely, the food was perfect and worth every cent. Only issue was the waiter was either all over us or did not understand us.”

“Very cheap for the portion they provide. However, I will never forget the day the chef came out with a metal bucket of some honey chicken with no shirt on and put it out onto the counter where the food was. It was disgusting, he was absolutely sweaty.”

“If you want gourmet Italian, this is the place to go. Although prices are on the higher side slightly, the taste in your mouth will leave you yearning for more. The waiters are hot and this restaurant is a great place to take your significant other. .”

“We made the mistake of taking a local hotel's suggestion. Service was poor but we remained. Their signature dish the veal shop arrived underdone. We sent it back only to return still raw but far after the meal was over. They charged $40 for the veal chop!”

“We had a gift certificate to stay at the Hilton Estate which is right across the road from McLaren's. We asked the front desk for just a regular bar. They recommended McLaren's over we went. The place is nice for just a bar. Its not fancy but myself I like regular places. The beers were very reasonable and the bartender Matt was very friendly and so were a lot of the regulars. If you get down that way and just want a "bar" with reasonable prices, then McLaren's is for you!”

“On my first visit to none, I hosted a business dinner, and we found none to be wonderful. It's the only good Italian food Ive had in Delaware, and true to their billing the veal was excellent. None had a great menu, an excellent selection of Italian and other wines, and the service provided by shanty was just right. Don't be put off by the billboard outside proclaiming the "best valet.", which would have eliminated none from consideration had I seen it before I booked the meeting; the atmosphere is good, it's small and open with everything near the kitchen, but it's quiet, and I give more points for the quality of the food than for a large restaurant with remote corners. I'll be back to sample more of the menu. .”

“Be very careful when paying for your meal with plastic.”

“Klondike Kates is a college town bar that serves food. It is a hit or miss restaurant. In warm weather, there are huge crowds and weekend nights are a bit rowdy after 9 pm. Decent burgers and wings and the like, but forget it if you enjoy fine food or are looking for a classy setting. Lots of old wood tables that have seen better days and nothing fancy at Kate's. Still, it is a local tradition and has a steady following of UD alumni and townspeople.”

“Nonna's signature dish is a 16 oz veal chop which is served 3 ways. I recommend the herb encrusted, but try the Abruzzi-Style if you want to kick it up a notch. Many great dishes including lots of veal, steaks and of course pasta. The chicken and sausage rapini is served over gnocchi with Broccoli Rabe in a nice white wine and lemon sauce. Barrel cut rib eye steak and crab stuffed filet mignon in Sambuca reduction sauce are two of my favorites. Chef owner is very creative and always has new items on the menu. They recently added a cheese menu and are serving fresh crabs on certain nights when available. Wine selection is outstanding and service is friendly and informative. Wait staff provides very detailed description of specials and will be glad to suggest a dish for you. I have been a regular here for several years and relocated a year ago. I still have family in the area and when I get to town, I usually head from the airport directly to Nonna. Lots of nice restaurants in Vero Beach, but have yet to find one as consistent and enjoyable as Nonna.”

“The food here was plentiful and tasted wonderful. We ordered bbq chicken nachos which were huge. Meals came with salad and side. I could barely eat my salad and did not eat my side. The steak I ordered was tender and wonderfully seasoned. I wish I lived closer so I could go more often. We took dessert to go and it was yummy! Service started off a little slow.”

“Border Cafe is both unique and excellent. Tex-Mex and Creole are the two cuisines served here, and both are done generously and well -- nothing here is bland. Construct your own fajitas from the sizzling and cold ingredients provided, or have one of the many creative prepared entries Basic steaks and burgers are there for the unadventurous, but otherwise choose from *very* tender blackened shrimp and chicken in a variety of sauces and other preparations. Sides are usually included, and a full meal can be easily had for $10 - $14, plus tip (no tax!). Service is very friendly, only downside really is no dessert menu, but you are unlikely to have room for it anyway.”
