• The building was Gorgeous.
• 2 of his staff plus the owner were not friendly!

“I went to Roberto's for Dinner with 2 friends and it was a disaster (we never got a chance to order our meal). First, we walked in, stood by the door thinking someone was going to come by and seat us. No one did. We eventually went to the bar, where a waiter/bartender/staff member was standing, they saw us and went to the kitchen without even looking up for 2 seconds to acknowledge our presence. A minute or so later another staff member appeared from the kitchen and ask us what we were drinking? Our male friend at the time was using the men's room, our girls got our wine and waiter/bartender/staff member disappeared. They came back after 5 minutes later to serve our male companion. The bar was filthy (my girlfriend took a napkin and cleaned it) her wine glass had lip prints all over it. She asked for a menu after she got the wine (by that time I thought service there was just bad), we sat there for 30 -45 minutes with the menu lying on the bar and no one asked us if we wanted a meal an appetizer or anything from the menu. By that time we were all very upset, a group of 4 people walked in at this point and within seconds the same staff, which was servicing us, place an order down on the bar to great and seat the new patrons. We finished our drinks, sat there with 3 empty wine glasses for more then 20 minutes and not 1 person/staff/waiter/bartender asked us if we wanted anything else. We even have them on camera (actual footage for us at the bar) standing a couple of feet away from us having a conversation in Italian (all the while with 3 empty wine glasses in front of us), laughing and at times starring at us and walking away length of video is about 5 minutes. I was highly offended. Never in the 32 years that I have been alive that I have witness such rudeness solely. We were not loud, and we all have just come from a long day from the office. I work in Midtown Manhattan, my girlfriend in Greenwich and our guy friend in Norwalk. WOW. What a way to service your customers Robertos. The decor is gorgeous, it is in a beautiful old building not far from the train Station and was recommended by one of my friends who have been their. (Service was GREAT for her). I would not recommend that place.”

“I'd have to say Drumstik has the best fried chicken. Way better than Kentucky Fried Chicken. I used to live in Bridgeport, anyway when we make it to Bpt we always try to get to Drumstik so we can bring some chicken home - along with the awesome green coleslaw. Just everything is so good! I sure do wish we had one here!”

“The food was excellent. The service was beyond compare. We went on a night when there was a Mardi Gras party in full swing, yet we were welcomed and treated as honored guests. I recommend this restaurant to everyone. The food and service is impeccable.”

• Best Italian food in Connecticut; never be upset when eating here!
• Nothing negative!

• Best fried chicken in the region!
• Could use tins for take out, food get cold in the paper bag? I could live with it though.

“Drumstick BBQ fills the role of exactly what they are...an excellent, incomparable fried chicken walk in. If you are looking for no-nonsense, authentic BBQ and fried chicken than this is the spot! ”

• Drum stick will deliver lunch to your business location.
• It tastes so good I can't stop eating it.

• Great selection and well prepared dishes.
• Lot's a people, can be a bit noisy.

“What a great find. Ralph N Rich's is located right down town. They will be moving in summer 2006.



The Italian food was excellent. Reminds me of some of the restaurants that you find in Little Italy in New York or Boston. Food is fresh and well prepared and there are a number of specials that are not on the menu. You will find the service snappy. I thought the wine list offered good value. ”

“The restaurant that generations of "old school" Bridge porters have held anniversaries, birthdays, christenings or whatever kind of significant milestone calling for celebration at a venue that leaves nothing for a chance. Frequently referred to "offering a Sopranos like" atmosphere of movers & shakers in city politics. Both dining areas are dimly lit. Through the bar area is a dinning room more suitable for tables of four or more and is just fine for "the well mannered family". The option of dining in the bar, though it may be short on elbow room, it is long on ambience and the preferred seating to have. For the first timer I would recommend going with that someone special in your life, make a reservation 1 week in advance for a weekend night, make sure to request the corner table located near the front window of the bar (this will make it less claustrophobic while providing a great view of all the goings on). Oh! Make sure that there is someone on the schedule to be playing the piano. It will not take much but a few minutes to understand why this establishment is special enough to have hosted countless evenings ending in accepted marriage proposals. When it comes to the food, little is left to be desired (unless your one of those anti-pasta/vegan/health nuts). The specials are always just that - Special. The wine list, even though not expensive, does offer solid selections that you will not often see at most establishments, like a fine Amorone. Do not let the downtown Bridgeport address fool you, this one truly is one of the costal Connecticut's special places to dine at.”
