Tony Rigatoni's Pizza & Pasta
May 12, 2009 by anyonymous from golden

Overall Rating: 4 User Rating Score: 4
Food:[5] • Service:[4] • Atmosphere:[3]

  • Good cheap Italian food.
  • The place was a run down and the owner was a bit crazy.

“The food was good, especially at the price. Just don't work here. I've known several people who were waiters there and none worked for longer than 8 months. The owner has major anger issues and needless to say doesn't bring out the best in his employees. If you like pizza, go to Woody's down the street or Manny and Bo's on S. Golden instead.”

Buffalo Moon Coffee & Merchantile

Overall Rating: 10 User Rating Score: 10
Food:[10] • Service:[10] • Atmosphere:[10]

  • The wonderful people, and unique items in the gift shop.
  • Nothing.

“Buffalo Moon is awesome! I have been visiting this wonderful store for years. Each time I am in Denver, I make it a point to drive up to Buffalo Moon. It is a beautiful drive, and well worth the time and effort. The staff is incredibly welcoming, the items in the gift shop unique, and the coffee and food exceptional. Just to make the drive to Buffalo Moon. It is a tradition! I am hooked, love this place! While at this Genesee area, visit the Country Store for delicious home made fudge! It's all off of I-70, exit 254, south of the interstate. Enjoy!”

Beau Jo's Pizza
Sep 12, 2008 by Marcia Black from Hays, KS

Overall Rating: 10 User Rating Score: 10
Food:[10] • Service:[10] • Atmosphere:[10]

  • The food was great and huge portion, well worth the price.
  • Lots of college kids.

“Oh my goodness! My daughter ate some pizza and I had the nachos. I swear it was the best food we have ever eaten! The sauce on the pizza was delicious and I am desperately craving more but live 6 hours away. The nacho's honestly were fabulous. I know that isn't a word but it describes the nacho's. The serving was supposedly for a single person but even sharing with my teenager there was a lot left over. The atmosphere is cool, lots of college age people but it had TVs in every corner and dessert could be the crust of the mountain pizza's. I will never forget the place and will somehow manage to return.”

Tony Rigatoni's Pizza & Pasta
Aug 29, 2008 by Chuck from Littleton

Overall Rating: 1 User Rating Score: 1

  • The cooks still do a good job - food was good, as usual.
  • I'm not hard to please - but they need some major lessons in customer service.

“Wow - incredibly poor service. We just returned home from Tony Rigatoni's in Golden, after the worst service I've ever had. We have been regular patrons of this restaurant for several years, but will not go back. The restaurant was not very crowded, and we were seated outside - the beautiful summer night ended up being the only highlight of the experience. First se waited for 15 minutes before asking if we could get some water, and a waiter. He apologized and took our order. Someone else brought our salads, someone else still, our dinners, so we still didn't know who our server was. Then after watching several of them walk past with water, refilling other patrons' glasses, finally went inside and asked if I could get a pitcher and fill them ourselves. 'I'm sorry', I heard, then we never saw anyone again until our dinner was brought to us, and once again no one came back, even as we waited after finishing our meal. Finally, I went back in to ask for a take home container, and to ask for our check. I asked for, and told the manager of our experience, and instead of apologizing, he asked who our server was. Since I honestly didn't know, I couldn't tell him. I found it amazing that instead of apologizing, he was looking for who to blame. I went back to the patio to collect our things and then inside to pay - at this point, angry and disappointed as we were.”

Tony Rigatoni's Pizza & Pasta
Dec 4, 2007 by Nancy from Lakewood

Overall Rating: 8 User Rating Score: 8
Food:[8] • Service:[7] • Atmosphere:[9]

  • The food was delicious and atmosphere was wonderful.
  • Our waitress was a little inattentive.

“I visited Toni Rigatoni's for lunch today and it was a delightful experience. Our waitress was very helpful and gave great input on the entrees. The lunch items come with salad, bread and a glass of wine or a Mocaccino. A lot of food for the price! I ordered the Spaghetti with Marinara and a meatball and it was very tasty! It's better than other restaurant pasta that I have tried. I would say that it's time to give them another try if you have had a bad experience in the past.”

Rock Rest Lodge
Jul 5, 2007 by Bill from Lakewood

Overall Rating: 10 User Rating Score: 10
Food:[10] • Service:[8] • Atmosphere:[10]

  • Food is great, price is very good.
  • Not a big fan of self serves style restaurants.

“I went in because I had heard of there free Friday night dinners I wasnt expecting much maby taco bar or something along those lines nothing like what I found, a full homemade dinner for everyone in the bar, the first night i went it was stuffed peppers with all the trimmings 3 side dishes bread veggie tray dinner sailed the works. Halfway through the line I started thinking I bet they jack up there drink prices to make up for such a spread so i was really surprised that i gat a pint of Coors light for $1.49 and was told by the bartender that was the normal happy hour price. I have been back every Friday since and have had everything from pan fried chicken to Meat loaf and have never been disappointed there regular menu is out of this world BBQ, Hamburgers, Salads and the biggest chicken wings i have ever seen. This is not what you would expect from a bar but it sure is nice to see someone put a little pride in what they do.”

Tony Rigatoni's Pizza & Pasta
Apr 14, 2007 by celia from wheatridge

Overall Rating: 4 User Rating Score: 4
Food:[2] • Service:[6] • Atmosphere:[5]

  • Very nice server.
  • Food has gone way south.

“ We have been there many times before and had always had a good experience. We had not been there for a few years (we have a toddler and rarely get out of the house anymore!) We met some friends there for a date night, without the kids. The building was as I remember. It's an old house, quaint, maybe a little run down but it feels like an Italian grandma's house. Anyway the wine list had changed. (Very limited selection) we ordered a bottle of Chianti and antipasto, since when does a mayonnaise salad come in antipasto? The menu has changed as well; maybe it just wants to be a lunch pizza place. The carat mica, (used to be my husbands favorite) came with the equivalent of an unbraided pounded chicken patty on top not at all what it used to be. There used to be a line there on Friday nights. We got there at 7:45 and there were 5 empty tables (saying something when there's only 10 tables in the building) too bad. Used to be a nice little Italian restaurant...”

Tafolino's Mexican Restaurant
Dec 23, 2006 by Bill from Lakewood, CO

Overall Rating: 8 User Rating Score: 8
Food:[9] • Service:[8] • Atmosphere:[6]

  • Great food! Friendly folks! Good prices (I, could be considered "cheap").
  • Nothing.

“I live in Lakewood co, and work in golden co, and I like tafolino's Mexican restaurants(s) probably about the best! I eat at the small one (tafolino's too!) Usually at least once a week, which is south across 20 avenue. From this address, because the main restaurant is always packed out at weekday lunchtime and there is usually a line of hungry folks waiting to get in! It is a very popular place. The food, my family, friends and I, find very good, and the prices are not bad. I usually have a burrito built from the "ala cart", and it makes two meals for me! I think they have the best corn chips in town! I recommend that you try it!”

El Amigo Mexican Restaurant
Dec 23, 2006 by Bill from Lakewood, CO

Overall Rating: 8 User Rating Score: 8
Food:[8] • Service:[10] • Atmosphere:[7]

  • Good prices, good food, very friendly and polite folks!
  • Nothing so far, after several years of going there!

“I love Mexican food, good Mexican food. I live in Lakewood, work in golden, and sometimes I like to eat at el amigo 2-3 times a week! Their food is a bit different than most Mexican restaurant's, to me, anyway, but most restaurants have their very own style of cooking and flavors, as does any homemaker/cook. I, and all of my friends, happen to like very much, the food at el amigo. The folks there, are very, friendly, jovial, and polite, and give excellent service. They know our likes and wants, and keep me/us quite happy. They even have a weekday "lunch club" card, where after you buy 6 lunches, you get the 7th one free (not counting the drink)! They are not at all stingy with the corn chips, as some places are. They have about ten "booths" and about 12 tables. It's not a big or fancy place, and my wife calls it "rustic". But it is not a "dive" either! I feel that the prices are very reasonable, especially the lunch "combos", with which you can choose between one to three main items in the combo. If you are in the area, I suggest that you give it a try. (Yes, I am a gringo!).”

Tony Rigatoni's Pizza & Pasta
Mar 6, 2006 by David from Las Vegas

Overall Rating: 1 User Rating Score: 1
Food:[1] • Service:[1] • Atmosphere:[1]

“After a long day trekking, we arrived in the restaurant with my wife and two young children.

The restaurant was old and seemed it was falling apart. The food arrived 45 minutes later. Before we had a chance to start, loud voices were heard and a Pakistani looking guy who claimed to be the owner got into a fight with a customer. As the scene was getting really ugly, we left immediately and decided never to return.

Heritage Square Music Hall
Feb 23, 2006 by sam-sam from Eaton

Overall Rating: 10 User Rating Score: 10
Food:[9] • Service:[10] • Atmosphere:[10]

  • So much to like.
  • So little to dislike.

“This is so much more than a restaurant so don't say you won't go. This place is perfect for anyone over the age of 4. If a little chuckle is all you are looking for, then this place is not for you. On the other hand if you want side splitting laughter than come on in. I have been going to Heritage Square Music Hall for about 5 years now and have gotten to know the actors pretty well. They are wonderful beyond belief. The great actors have decided that they were going to adopt my uncle, aunt, dad, and I as their National Heritage Square Music Hall Fan Club. We even have a theme song. So like I said if you want fun, you are looking in the right place.”
