“My absolutely favorite Italian restaurant around. I go whenever I can. Their lobster ravioli is the best. Sometimes it is not on the menu, but I have found if I ask, they will make it. I think the wait staff is wonderful and a lot of fun.”

“I've been there a few times and thought the food was great. The pink sauce is to die for. This restaurant is very authentic. We even had a birthday dinner there. However the riverside location I hear the service is not too good. If you like real Italian food you will like it.”

“The worst service in the city! Period. Bar none. The waiters run around looking busy but ignoring their customers, the tapinade is so over spiced you can choke and gag, and nobody cares or brings water. We were eager to go as soon as we finished our main dishes and could not find a waiter to bring the check for the longest while. When we finally did get the check, I was tempted to leave a dime tip, but caved and left precisely 15%. (Which is he standard amount but I would normally give 20 25% for decent service). Now I wish Id made it 10%.”

“This used to be one of the best places in Los Angeles. However, the quality has gone way down hill. Sushi is so-so. Sauces are bland. Our warm food was not very warm. Quality is better on a weekday. Noodles were awful and taste like something from a cheap ramen noodle package. Service is very poor. Don't be surprised if they put you in a small table about 5 inches from another loud table. They will also limit your dining time to 2 hours and literally kick you out in the middle of dining, even if it is their fault that it takes longer to complete a meal because of their normal poor service.”

“Was in L.A. on business staying at the Peninsula Hotel and they recommended Da Vinci in Beverly Hills when I asked for a restaurant close by that served Italian. What a surprise to me! This place was wonderful, 1st time there and I had been to L.A. many times and did not realize this place existed! The service was the most impressive that I must say I was spoiled rotten! I had a fish deboned table side which was just wonderful. And they recommended some crepes flambé! I am coming back here, I would recommend if you are traveling a great place for business meetings as it's exclusive and wonderful for conversation. I noticed there were some people ordering things that were not on the menu, so I asked the server and he told me he can prepare anything I like! Love this!”

“We went to Matsuhisa to celebrate a very special birthday last night. We all ordered the $80.000 or the $100.00 omakase dinner hoping to enjoy the magical creations that made Matsuhisa or Nobu so special. We were all very disappointed by the uninspiring, simple menu, and below average service that we received. It is very obvious that the magic no longer exist and it has become just another very expensive chain restaurant. The menu on the $80.00 omakase included miso soup! The wait between each dish felt like more than 20 minutes. Our omakase dinner did not include any of Matsuhisa's signature dishes. The food presentations were simple and each dish was quite ordinary. It is ashamed that Nobu Matsuhisa has even let his flagship restaurant go down to waste. We had a similar experience in Nobu Miami. This will probably be our last visit to this restaurant. There are many Japanese restaurants in Los Angeles that offer a much better dining experience!”
