• Spacious, with fridge and microwave. Free continental breakfast.
• Looks old, gloomy and dark.

“Good hotel for budget traveler. The bathroom is really big. The room is spacious too. Really close to the airport and any other hotels.”

• It was close to the airport.
• It had cockroaches and bed bugs.

“The bed in our room was covered in bed bugs, the pool had dead cockroaches floating in it, as well as around the pool deck. DISGUSTING!! When we called the front desk to tell them about it they denied it, said we were lying, and hung up on us. DO NOT STAY HERE!!”

• This hotel had 24 hours free internet facility near the reception desk. I could check my emails.
• When I entered the room, the bathroom had a strange smell, after some time you get used to it.

“This hotel is cost effective, and clean rooms, plus points include - free internet available in lobby. Microwave, phone & TV in room, although they charge for local telephone calls. Friendly owners. Morning breakfast.”

• Convenient location to LAX. Simple but adequate for sleepovers.
• Questionable neighborhood by night.

“All we needed was a hotel to bed down comfortably until our early-morning flight from LAX. This place has just right location for the purpose. Front desk was friendly & courteous. I'd do it again.”

“This was a sleazy motel. The sheets were dirty and the staff was very inhospitably. You had to pay a deposit just to watch TV.”

• Very convenient to LAX, our plans in Santa Monica and UCLA.
• Heavy smell of cleaning products.

“Very serviceable for person just using as a sleeping spot. Yet it had a small fridge, microwave and friendly service. Room was very small but clean. Good for the price.”

• Felt unsafe location; difficult person working nights.

“Very unfriendly and unhelpful night person working when we checked in; required extra charges for children staying in room or refused to let us stay; pool was dirty; staff during day and evening were very friendly and helpful; cheap price overall.”

• I did not like the hotel at all, I was extremely disappointed, and will not stay again.
• The hotel was in a bad section of town, with no proper locks on the door. The bathroom was not clean.

• They have a nice restroom.
• The parking!

“The restaurant in no longer farmer's it's G.G's. Restaurant and bakery and they specialize in soul food. They have good breakfast. It's a family restaurant and when I say family I mean family. They have their babies running around and crying in the back ground and it's nothing nice. Not romantic at all. Wait until you see the waitress. They have a few that look like bulldogs. So, if you have any doubts about your man's wondering eye. Take him to G.G.'s. Trust me his eyes will be on you all night. So, if you want to get out of the box type of adventure. Make sure you eat before you go. The food is not that great. And watch out for the deserts they look like they have been sitting for months.”

• The food is consistent and fresh and the service is excellent.
• The neighborhood has gone down in over 30 years.

“I have been eating at this Greek owned charbroiled burger joint since 1971. They still have the same Greek cook they had in 1971. The fries are fresh cut with a little skin on them and are made fresh everyday. They have every thing from Gyros to Mexican food and the breakfast is great.”

• Good gumbo, not too hot, very tasty.
• Service was a little slow, but you can call ahead.

“Great food, lots of character. I had a bowl of seafood gumbo and a cold cup of red Kool-Aid. The gumbo is very tasty, but not too hot, and is served with a bit of rice. Lots of seafood in one bowl, especially crab legs and shrimp. Wasn't sure how to eat the crab legs, but they put a very nice crab flavor in the gumbo. You can also order an entire pot of gumbo, for family gatherings or office functions, etc. This restaurant does for gumbo what Phillips does for barbeque.”
