“I have been going there since I was single and was looking for the best party bar in town and that was McNears. Now I go with my friends to have a nice dinner with great service and see a show at the Mystic or to watch a game and now they just added 7 or 8 more TV's so while it is in no way a quite place for a romantic date it is great for lunch or dinner. It is also the number one place. My kids go for their team dinners so they can play games and the parents can relax and chat. Great food and service and it just keeps getting better.”

“I went there on a Friday night. Despite what the building looked like outside. Inside was beautiful! The staff was extremely friendly and the food was delish! At the end of our meal it looked like the place was turning into a night club. We decided to stay. We danced all night! It was so much fun. The music was great, the people were awesome, and the food was delish. What more could one ask for? If I could, Id be there every weekend.”

“Teresa's review nearly put us off but having been to de Schmire years ago, I was determined to return to this landmark restaurant on the road heading out to the ocean. Not terribly fussy or overly fancy, charming, somewhat artsy decor. Serious comfort food, European inspiration, well-priced. We enjoyed the seared appetizer and an interesting soup of the day, spicy jalapeno curry cream of broccoli, with the veal and morel mushrooms and a gigantic chunk of halibut ("from the ocean") for our entrees. We were too full for dessert but had the sorbet and crème brulee anyway--the baked desserts might have been a better choice but we went for something light. Overall a really nice date, we came early and the small place filled up with visitors and numerous regulars - always a good sign.”

“Unbelievably authentic Irish pub. Food was great with an extensive menu and the atmosphere was wonderful. I would recommend fin bar divines to anyone looking for a lot of fun and a very good meal.”
