“The only Mexican restaurant that I know of that doesn't know how to make a chili relleno. The pablano chili should be roasted till it's soft. The one I got the chili was hard as a rock, inedible. The server was more than pleasant and brought me a different meal. It still didn't satisfy my craving for a good chili relleno.”

“The place is a complete dump and the staff was very rude to me and my group of friends. I will never go there again.”

“The place awful. The staff is rude. I don't understand why this place hasn't closed down. They allow smoking in the bar. If I remember correctly, California was a nonsmoking state.”

“There's a male bartender who smokes and his ashes get in the drinks. The bartender is rude and nasty. I told her to remake my drink after the ashes fell in my drinks and she looked at me and said OK. So basically she ignored me. I was never rude to either one of those bartenders and I don't know what their issue with me was. I will never recommend anyone to come to this place. Its awful.”

“My first visit to this cozy establishment was in 1976, My mother would make a trip there a very special event. Now with a family of my own we visit So Cal 2 - 3 times a year and every trip includes three important stops, my grandmother's house, Disneyland & Conca D Oro! One pasta meal is truly more than a meal. A superb restaurant with what has always been a soft, quiet enjoyable experience.”

“Every time I am in Southern California, my family wants Bobby D's to be the first stop! Can't find better authentic great tasting Mexican food. It is also a great value. The folks here are very friendly and courteous. We plan our trip around going to Bobby D's! If you like Mexican food and are in the area, make sure you stop by, you'll be glad!”

“Sorry Aldo's your restaurant is pretty terrible. First, our group of 8 came in and sat at the tables at the bar. The bartender completely ignored us. When we told him we wanted some beer/wine, he poured/opened the bottles and left them on the bar. Try bringing them to our table. The server was pretty absent minded. I ordered the sea bass special, it was raw in the middle and the risotto was neither smooth nor completely cooked. The others at my table were equally unimpressed. I doubt the sauces are made from scratch, probably just cooked veggies in canned sauce.”

“On my trip to Orange City in December 2007, I visited Hotel Delhi Palace on numerous occasions. Though the food was okay, the service was excellent. The owner and his charming daughter were always by your side to make sure that the guests had a good meal and was comfortable.”

“The food is excellent; the pepito special is the best. Friendly service, great atmosphere, authentic Mexican taste.”

“This restaurant will provide you with a very nice dining environment. The ambiance is great, wonderful décor. I found the service to be simply fantastic, with a lively and friendly waitress. The owners are active in the dining experience, and are friendly as well. In regards to the food, it was okay. The food is flavorful, but is definitely lacking a unique touch. Being in the Orange Circle, this restaurant is competing with Citrus City Grill and Gabi's, which both have exceptional cuisine. I would recommend Aldo's to someone who is looking for a classy and modern dining experience, but I wouldn't put it at the top of my list as far as outstanding Italian food goes.”

“I have been going to aldo's for 15 years. They used to be located on Tustin avenue, but now are just south of the traffic circle in orange. The owners are from Italy, and the place has been passed down through generations. The food is the best Italian food I have found in my travels. While the new place is a little more ritzy, and I think the service has gone down some due to the increased number of diners, the food remains the same and it is excellent. Maybe I am just frequent enough to be recognized, but the owner always stops by and sees how we are doing, and if he can do anything for us. .”

“My family and I went to the restaurant and after waiting 5 minutes at the hostess podium with no help; my husband approached the bartender to see if there was anyone working the podium. At that time the hostess came up and asked where we wanted to be seated, we pointed to a nice table outside and she sat us. We happened to be sitting at a table next to the owner and some other individuals (the hostess made note of this). After 10 minutes without any service we decided to leave. I was shocked that the owner did not make any attempt to rectify the situation. I made eye contact with him as I got up from our table and he saw us leave. There were only 2 other occupied tables in the restaurant and yet we never saw a waitress. It seams as though the owner uses the restaurant to entertain his friends and could care less about other customers. I will never visit this restaurant again. .”

“We love this romantic restaurant! I had been here in the 80's & 90's when they were known more for their incredible location than the food. Well, they have an incredible chef now and the food is wonderful. My husband proposed to me there and we had our wedding and reception exactly one year later. Everyone told us how much fun our wedding and reception was and every person that commented mentioned the delicious meal (filet mignon and shrimp) and impeccable service they received. We highly recommend orange hill and everyone from catering to our head waiter; our reception went out of their way to make sure our special day was absolutely perfect! If you are going for dinner, be sure to plan extra time to sit outside by the fire pits and enjoy a drink or just relax and enjoy the beautiful view. Also, enjoy the beautiful entry where they have twinkling lights, koi fish, a fire place and gentle waterfalls. This place is magical! It is also a great place for valentines day. Just reserve a table way in advance. Their special valentines menu was just perfect and save room for dessert! If you are checking out the restaurant for a wedding, when you walk inside, look to your right and you may see our wedding picture outside of the catering office too. It will give you an idea of how pretty the patio area can be once covered in flowers, etc for a wedding. Also, the catering department helped me so much, that I didn't need a wedding planner!”

“I've been going to Conca D Oro for since 1993 when I was craving good authentic home cooked style Italian food. This family owned restaurant was the real deal and now I take my wife every couple of months when Im craving their delicious Escargo and also their stuffed veal chop, which is the best Ive found in the area. Being from the east coast and having Italian cooks in my family, going to olive garden doesn't cut it, but Conco D Oro does. The little girls who used to do their homework in the back tables with grandpa after school are now the servers and hostesses. This is a warm, friendly atmosphere. Just don't fill up on their incredible garlic bread before your meal. It's tempting to do, but save room for your meal! The portions are also plentiful and my wife enjoys leftovers for lunch the next day. Her co workers smell her reheating the leftovers and comment on how great it smells!”

“Bad food and rude service - by the owner, no less! After ordering "Jumbo Scallops and Shrimp over Angel Hair Pasta", I received a plate with small scallops (but plentiful), 2 medium-sized shrimp and the requisite angel hair pasta. The scallops were fishy and mushy. I had not eaten any pasta, or either of the two shrimp. I decided to inform the server that I was not satisfied with my food. She apologized, asked what I would like instead (I asked for spaghetti with Arrabiatta sauce), and removed my plate from the table. A few minutes later, the owner of the restaurant came to the table, with my scallops & pasta dish, and asked what the problem was. Before I could complete my answer, he interrupted me, raised his voice, and said that no one ever sends this dish back, and perhaps this is not the restaurant for me! He's right! I'll never be back, nor will my husband, our friends who were dining with us, or anyone we ever tell this story to! To be fair, the owner's wife did try to make amends and two of the diners that night said their food was good. But the incomparable treatment I received that night warranted this review!”

“My parents live nearby and they love this restaurant. When we kids gather, to visit them, from all over the world, it is a tradition for us to chow down at Yen Ching. Possibly my parents have a great relationship with the staff because they are regular customers, the food is very reasonably priced for their senior citizen's budget. The portions are so generous that they leave with many little white boxes. This may not be the best restaurant you have ever eaten at, but it's a pretty darned good value for the money. Not everyone is looking for the stellar gourmet meal every time!”

“I like Polly's food - it is basic, good quality meals "home-like" and no frills. But Monday, May 7th, I went to Polly's with my husband. When I came out the rear driver's side window was smashed and my computer case was stolen. I was told that it was the second time this has happened at this same location. I asked the company to pay for the rear window and the computer case (minimal costs) and was told that I should turn it into my homeowner's insurance. I don't think my homeowner's insurance should pay for it when their parking lot is poorly lit and poorly protected and this has occurred twice. Therefore, despite the decent food and nice people, I definitely do not recommend going to this restaurant. ”

“My mom started going to kopi-san soon after they opened. I joined her there for lunch, and then several of us went for dinner, and we have been going there since. We go as groups, couples, alone for lunch, and combinations in between. To celebrate, commiserate, and sometimes to just inebriate. Their sake is good! My son has been going there since before he was born. He will be 15 years old soon. It is by far our favorite restaurant, Japanese or otherwise. We are known by the owners and the staff, and kopi-san herself, yoke has spent almost 15 years pinching my son's cheeks and saying "Marsha marrow" for marshmallow. We love her and the restaurant and hope to visit there soon.”

“This restaurant was the worst! I wanted to strangle my server and throw the "Italian" food at her in disgust! The food is commercialized and not true to Italian one bit! Are the owners even Italian? Because if they were they would know that their food is outdated!”

“I'm usually a difficult person to please, and hardly ever give anything a ten. But Aldo's is great! My fiancée and I have been in there almost weekly since it opened, and have met some wonderful people. The food is fantastic, and the menu regularly has unique items (last weekend they had elk steak in a marsala sauce. very tasty). We enjoy it so much, we're probably going to have our rehearsal dinner there! The wine list is good, and we've yet to ever order anything that wasn't fantastic. We enjoy sitting at the bar instead of a table. The bartenders are friendly, and you'll most likely meet Arturo, the owner. It's great people watching, right in the Orange Circle!”

“This is fresh, home style food and it is always consistent. Our family have been customers for years. The staff is friendly and service good. We love to go there before an Angel Baseball Game. The fajitas are the best and I like their frozen margaritas. The price is good and you will want to come back again and again. Great for the whole family too.”

“Interesting, eclectic, artsy decor. Food from around the world is served in appetizer portions only with a wide variety to choose from. You order a few ($7-12 each) and everyone at your table shares. Entertainment is provided with various dancers & a comedy act the night we were there (a weekend night, acts are about 20 minutes apart--I don't know if they only do entertainment on the weekend or if it is every night). During our visit, we saw a couple doing swing dancing in 40's attire, a belly dancer, and a visually comedic act (a man and a huge balloon--quite funny). My kids were really skeptical at this new place, but they loved it! (They do provide a kids meal menu with the usual kid fare). Fun place for a date, a celebration dinner, or just if you want to experience something different. Hope you like it, too.”

“Bobby D's is one of those hole-in-the-wall authentic Mexican restaurants If you're looking for in-house made food, this is the place. If you want table cloths, to be waited on and privacy, this is not the place. Great food at low prices.”

“The Ricardo's Don Jose on Katella in Orange is part of a small family owned chain of restaurants. This location is my favorite. Many of the employees have worked their for years. They treat you like family. The food is consistently good and the service friendly. The fajitas are great, chips and salsa the best. Best of all the prices are reasonable. I recommend it highly. It is one of our families favorite restaurants. It is also a fun place for a party. I also like their fish tacos. ”

“The food took the longest to get to me. The other 4 people I came with were halfway to 3/4 done by the time I got my meal. I tried to flag down a waiter to ask for some sweet and sour sauce. One waitress looked directly at me as I tried to get her attention as she was standing halfway across the room. She chose to ignore me as I waited longer for somebody to come around so I could ask for my sauce. They are not even friendly, and the food is average at best. ”
