“This place should be bulldozed. There are pigeons pooping all over the place. The roof leaks. The kitchen has broken tiles over the cooking equipment. There is waste food on the floor. The owners obviously don't care to put a dime into the place.”

“Great staff, reasonably priced, basic food/well prepared. Unpretentious. The usual beach bar stuff on the walls. Sounds kind of ordinary, and, I suppose it is. But, there is something addictive about this place.”

“If you go there on a regular basis and spend a lot of money on drinks, they will favor you above anyone else. They treat the regular customers like a God. If a customers get in a fight, the one that spent the less was asked to leave. Regular customers were disrespectful and the owners and bartenders favor them because they want them to always come back to spend more money. Regular customers always bother new faces that just want to have a quick drink or something to eat. The night bartenders will serve you well pass a persons limitations for the extra dollar. Bartenders will add extra charges if they know you have been drinking a lot. Restrooms were more dirty with a bad stench 24 hours a day. Roaches run around with no fear. Mice were seen in plain sight for those with keen eyes. Waitresses get have bad attitudes if you don't tip them well.”

“My husband and I have Breakfast & Mimosa's just about every weekend at McCabe's. It's fantastic! The bartenders are awesome. It's just your comfortable little beach bar no frill's. We have never seen the nightlife but if you want a good breakfast, good service & good drinks at a good price. This is your spot!”

“This restaurant has been in Oceanside for twenty years. Its a great place for a meal that tastes home cooked. Its a small restaurant that puts out great food. Once you try it I guarantee that you will go back.”

“Though the restaurant is not fancy it does have some the best basic food in town for the money. They server it hot and fresh. The burgers are always big and tasty along with their homemade onion rings, (which I recommend), and the freshly cut fries. Angleo's not only server burgers and fries but the breakfasts including breakfast burritos are superb. The dinner meals of carne asada and tacos are 100 times better than some so called Mexican food restaurants I have had the misfortune of visiting. I have visited all four, (used to be five), Angleo's but the original one closed down a long time ago and the food is consistently good at all of them. If you like good simple food a good price then Angleo's would be a great place to visit.”

“I had both their pizza and smoothies while I was there a few days ago. The smoothie was good, but they were out of the fruit for the first 2 smoothies I ordered and seemed to have an attitude about me taking my time to decide on a different one. Then the pizza, the dough was not cooked all the way, and when they brought me out a different slice, it looked like it had been sitting out for hours. And to top of this horrible adventure, their bathroom was dirty, and I saw a cockroach on the wall by the sink on my way out. I can assure you that I will never be a customer of theirs again.”

“The food is good. They have the best pizza in town and it is not simple bar menu. They feature a different special every day aside from their regular menu. Lasagna, Mahi Mahi, Filet mignon to name a few. They have kareoke 4 nights a week, live bands usually on Fri and Sat but sometimes on Thursday and Sunday. They have DJs on Friday, Saturday nights and right now on Monday. after the football games (which is shown on big screen TV). The DJs, KJs, bartenders, wait staff and security are all great people. I love the place because I feel safe. My car is guarded. I don't see that many Marines in there but when I have, they seem to be simply having a few beers. There are a few regulars who drop in occasionally and get pretty drunk but the staff is good about cutting them off and sending them on their way. I've been a patron for 2 yrs now. I don't drink but It's my "Cheers" since I have temporarily relocated to CA.”

“I was a long time lover of rocking Baja lobster until yesterday! I was enjoying my friends and lobster tacos when I noticed several small-medium sized cockroaches. I brought this to the waitresss attention & she explained that this is normal for restaurants on the harbor. That may be true. But we didn't get one thing complementary on the bill! She charged us for everything & didn't offer us an apology! I will tell everyone I know not to eat at the rocking Baja lobster. Just look closely. You will see on of those disease carrying bugs scampering around.”

“This is a down and dirty neighborhood Beachtown bar. Basic bar food, decent service, but surly when busy. Live music on some nights is a plus; after 9 pm, especially on weekends, watch out for the drunk jarheads and area transient alkees. If you are a pseudo biker, a Tequila and beer-swilling Mexican, or a tourist looking to get away from the kids for awhile, this is your place. Keep an eye out for the passed out drunk near the dumpster, a sign of the times to come. Happy drinking!”

“I have the right to refuse service to anyone, says Cafe owner Regina Leiss. This apparently extends to persons with disabilities and runs counter to the ADA. In October of 2006. A disabled woman' in a wheel chair and her dog were ejected from cafe. Part of her reason, the dog was not wearing a vest. Federal Law states: "Does the dog have to wear a vest or tag to identify it as a service dog? No, there is no Federal requirement that the dog wear any special gear or identification. Also, there is no requirement that the handler carry any certification papers showing that the dog has been trained as a service dog. You may not ask the person about the nature or extent of his or her disability. How do local health and safety laws apply to service dogs? Remember that service dogs are not pets. Therefore, local laws that restrict pets from restaurants, housing, and theaters, for example, are not applicable to service dogs. A good rule of thumb is that the ADA is the law that governs matters related to access to public places and businesses for people with disabilities accompanied by their service dogs." I am appalled by the owner's behavior and ask everyone to boycott. ”

“For anyone thinking about eating here, think again and make a better choice. The food was sub par and I've never seen French toast that had a gray color before. It took almost an hour for the food to arrive and never once did I get a coffee refill. The food would have been tolerable if the waitress wasn't so extreme uncaring and unapologetic. She must have been having a bad day because I have never had such bad customer service. If this place doesn't work on customer service, they will never make it. It seems like it must cater to the many senior citizens in Oceanside, but if they don't start treating the other customers friendlier, they will never build their customer base. My advice, make a better choice and go to the Coco's which is right down the street, and has pretty good customer service.”
