Burger King
Apr 4, 2009 by Becca from Sedona

Overall Rating: 2 User Rating Score: 2
Food:[2] • Service:[1] • Atmosphere:[2]

  • I don't ever have to go back again. And never will!
  • Salesperson did not speak English well, Assistant manager incompetence, and wrong order - multiple times!

“I was treated very rudely at the drive through. The woman taking my order barely spoke English. When I questioned the total, she huffed away and then handed me the receipt. She then gave me the wrong change. When I got my order, it was not accurate and then when we finally got home to open the chicken sandwiches, they were also wrong. The last straw was that when I called to talk to the manager. I explained the errors and expected to get my meal replaced with the corrected sandwich, however, I told her I could not come back that day since I was already out of the area and unable to drive back. Her response as acting manager was to put the incompetent employee back on the phone with me. Nothing was resolved and I got stuck with a wrong sandwich. I will never go back to this Burger King! Very rude and very unprofessional.”

A Pizza Heaven
Oct 11, 2008 by Woody from New Jersey

Overall Rating: 1 User Rating Score: 1
Food:[1] • Service:[1] • Atmosphere:[3]

  • Seated quickly.
  • Owner cursed out customer for complaining about food served cold.

“Wanting to have the finest pizza in Sedona. We were seated immediately - about the only thing that went right tonight. I wanted a small pizza for an appetizer, and was going to follow it up with an entree. The waitress came back and told me that they don't do pizzas as an appetizer. The pizza would take 30 minutes. A family was then seated next to us. I asked how long for Chicken Parm. She told me twenty minutes. The family was served bread and their salads. Ten minutes later, I grabbed a waiter and asked for our bread. Twenty minutes after the family was seated, they had their pizza. Forty minutes after we were seated, I asked for the manager, as our food hadn't come out yet. I pointed out that I could have had my pizza, which the waitress talked me out of. The manager was trying to make it right - I told her that all I wanted was my food. My food was served 5 minutes before my wife's, and it came out with a very hot dish, but cold chicken. I complained that the chicken was cold, and the manager called the owner over to us. He started yelling at me that he doesn't do pizza appetizers. He wouldn't listen to my complaint, and cursed me out. We walked out. We are here as part of a large group that often comes to Sedona for many different seminars. I warn others from this group to stay away from Apizza Heaven.”

A Pizza Heaven
Aug 20, 2008 by Donna from Sedona

Overall Rating: 8 User Rating Score: 8
Food:[9] • Service:[7] • Atmosphere:[7]

  • Love the eggplant rollatini.
  • Service is a bit slow sometimes.

“A friendly homey Italian restaurant that has the best pizza in Sedona. Don't miss David's specials, the tutti mare is my favorite. The crispy spinach is an interesting and unique dish and well worth trying. There is often local talent playing music which makes the outdoor patio wonderful on a warm evening.”

Cowboy Club The
Aug 4, 2008 by candace from oro valley

Overall Rating: 3 User Rating Score: 3

  • Their specialty drinks were top notch!
  • The wait, the service (considering the price), the food wasn't worth the money.

“The service was terrible because it was so busy and when our extremely small portions of food came out it was cold and the salad was hot. The best thing about this stifling hot restaurant were the specialty drinks and the fire roasted dinner rolls they had to offer. The Cowboy Club is a waste of money and time and I would only recommend using their bar to wet your whistle otherwise you may feel like you've been robbed in the wild west!”

Junipine Cafe
Jul 7, 2007 by Teri from Texas

Overall Rating: 3 User Rating Score: 3
Food:[3] • Service:[3] • Atmosphere:[5]

  • Casual atmosphere.
  • Seasoning heavy handed by chef.

“Junipine was very disappointing. We ordered Salmon which was over seasoned and over cooked. The mashed potatoes had so much pepper in them they were inedible. There are much better choices closer in to Sedona. Junipine's not worth the trip.”

10th Hole (The)
Mar 12, 2007 by Mrs. Lane from Phoenix, AZ

Overall Rating: 1 User Rating Score: 1
Food:[1] • Service:[1] • Atmosphere:[1]

  • None.
  • Everything from food to service was awful.

“We took a short family trip from phoenix to Sedona for a nice hike into the beautiful countryside. We got our hike and the enjoyment of the scenery, but our happy moments were quickly diminished when we stop for pizza at famous pizza in the bell rock plaza. The manager, yes the manager owner, was rude, crazy and disgraceful! He stood over our table the whole time we were there because we chose not to order drinks with our order, due to his scarce selection of beverages available. We preferred non-carbonated, non-caffeinated, and sugarless options due to the lateness of the day for our children. Secondly, he proceeded to tell us that because we are tourist that his customer services toward us doesn't matter. Well, it certainly mattered to us! When we got our food, we sat outside the business on the patio to eat, but he continued to harass and turned off the patio lights so we could not see our food. We were not the only people out on the patio. There were other patrons waiting for their pizzas, and the owner certainly created had an unwelcoming atmosphere to us all. Needless to say, we have never been treated so low! The food was not good either; we found hair baked into our garlic bread! The pizza was very salty, and undercooked!”

Cowboy Club
Jul 6, 2006 by Disappointed from Local

Overall Rating: 6 User Rating Score: 6
Food:[4] • Service:[4] • Atmosphere:[8]

  • Sweet potato fries; Western decor.
  • Kitchen needs work.

“I guess I expect more from a $10 burger. They asked how I wanted it done (medium rare), but it arrived way overdone. I let the server know, and it was replaced by a thrown-together, sloppy burger with a burnt bun. I couldn't finish it. My son asked for his well done, and it was medium. They comped mine, but I think I'll spend my hard-earned money elsewhere.”

“This restaurant is owned and operated by my dad Mike McCord. We moved here over 14 years ago and here is absolutely the best sandwich maker in town. Now I'm not being beast because he is my dad, but I really do love it when I can get a sandwich for lunch.”

T. Carl's
Aug 13, 2005 by Janet from New York

Overall Rating: 2 User Rating Score: 2
Food:[1] • Service:[3] • Atmosphere:[9]

  • The view
  • The food is horrible.

“We had the worst experience at T. Carl's. We were visiting Sedona for a week and went to T. Carl's during the week (August) and it was completely empty at 7:00 PM. That should have been a huge red flag hitting us in the head. The view was beautiful and we were seated outside facing the golf course.

The waiter was courteous. The food was terrible. The lettuce wilted and saturated with bottle dressing. The steaks were over-cooked, tough and poor quality. My husband had his sent back. My daughter struggled with hers and ate maybe a quarter of it. We were offered free desserts but declined the offer. My husband complained, expressing his disappointment and stated the quality was not what the prices suggested, in fact it was worse than a cafeteria or diner. We asked to speak to the manager and after 15 minutes were told he had an emergency off the premises. They took our cell phone # and said he would call us. He never did.”

Mar 29, 2005 by Carrie S . from Phoenix

Overall Rating: 10 User Rating Score: 10
Food:[10] • Service:[9] • Atmosphere:[10]

  • HUGE SANDWICHES, locally owned, GREAT FOOD, great location
  • small location

“This has to be my absolute favoraite place to eat in Sedona. The sandwiches are so great at this little place. My husband and I love to take day trips up to Sedona and we especially look forward to going to Sedona Memories for lunch. Try the chicken salad sandwich it is my fav. And you cannot argue that Sedona is one of the prettiest places on earth. It makes that sandwich taste that much more perfect. ”
