“Best Tex/Mex outside of Houston, which is where they originated. Great food quality especially the Fajitas. Good value. Great service like no where else.”

“The Golden Greek has some of the best Greek Food. It was not commercialized like my Big Fat Greek Restaurant. It has about 10 tables, so if you get there at dinner time, be prepared to wait a little bit. The food was definitely worth the wait.”

“Food was excellent. The server was very knowledgeable about the menu. Family owned and operated. I had the flounder over linguine with a diablo sauce. Very tasty, the fish was not overcooked and the pasta was perfect.”

“We used them for catering and they were late showing up which threw off our entire meeting schedule. The sandwiches were basic, bread was dry and the cookies were so hard you could break a tooth on them.”

“This is a dumpy place in a dumpy area near the airport but it has THE BEST MEXICAN FOOD around. At lunch time it is so busy that people are standing in line outside the door to order their food. You order at the counter then they call your number when it's ready. Seating is available but again, it's a dump. Dump or not - it has THE BEST Manchaca and bean burrito I've ever or will ever have. I have both locations' phone number programmed into my cell phone for quicker ordering. They are THE BEST.”

“Oh my, what is there not good about Don Jose Mexican food. I have grown up eating this food and it is wonderful. Great Cheese Crisps, wonderful Chile Con Carne, excellent shredded beef Tamales. I could go on and on. Hot sauce is home made, as is pretty much everything. Downside, they are closed from 12 to 07, so if you never made it there, you missed out. Was open for 42 years, same family ran it for that long.”

“We were looking forward to some good old fashioned Chinese food which I thought we would find at this long-time restaurant, but we were very disappointed in the meal. The service was very slow; once we gave our order, it took about half an hour to get our food. I asked if could get brown rice instead of white, and even though they do have it, you have to pay extra for about a cup (what's with that?) We ordered Kung Pao Scallops as our spicy dish and it was very bland, not spicy at all. I had to ask for Chile oil to perk it up (which smelled old and was a dark, brownish weird color, not red like usual). The Moo Goo Gai Pan was just passable and made with dark meat rather than white chicken breast (I should have asked), and canned mushrooms instead of fresh! We probably will not go back.”

“I was born and raised in AZ and I have dinned at almost every Mexican restaurant in PHX area. My wife and I could not wait to try Barrio since we have heard so much about it. But i can honestly say this was the worst Mexican food we have ever tasted. How it has received these great reviews is beyond me. Being from PHX and being Mexican and knowing what good Mexican food really is this place was embarrassing as a culter food. Sorry but we will never go there again it was that bad. Remember only eat at a place where a culter would eat at and this is not the place.”

“I travel between CA. & AZ. Pepper sauce is near the airport so I make sure my flight from CA. are in the morning, so I can make it there for breakfast, and my departing flight is before noon, so I can have lunch before I go home. Today was a filet mignon salad, with field greens, heart of palm, sweet crisp apple, red tart grapes, fresh pecans and Gorgonzola cheese. I chose Raspberry vinaigrette. It was a million degrees outside but that salad was exactly right for that type of day.”

“Food is good, but getting that quality of food for the lunch special price is amazing. I get the 11 - sweet and sour chicken with egg roll, fried rice and soup for about $6 with tax. I have been going here for about 5 years and it is definitely a favorite.”

“I love the design and interior and the food is excellent. I have never had anything that we had to return or couldn't eat. The food is always excellent. The service is always the best and they also have senior discount cards for your dinners. Great place to relax and have an enjoyable dinner.”

“This place is worth the wait. Not the right restaurant for those in hurry, but the atmosphere and food are outstanding. The mozzarella salad alone is worth the wait, by far the best Ive ever had. Great place for a night out. Start at the bar Bianca and the wait dont seem quite so long. The staff is outstanding, friendly and very attentive.”

“911 have nothing on what the underlining affect of non Christians have had on America. What is, and has been, a beautiful holiday for America is slowing being taking away and big business is allowing it. The restaurant has been told by executives to get rid of past Christmas decorations and the only small effect in the Glendale elephant bar restaurant are two Christmas wreaths on the door as you enter. Went to celebrate the holidays, will not consider the restaurant during the holidays again.”

“This is one of the best bar/restaurants around. The staff is great. The owner is always there to share a drink and tell a joke. It's like a family. Great food great prices and Randys a huskers fan to boot! I love that place.”

“I waited almost three hours to get in. It was a really tasty pizza, but not the best thing on Earth as many claim. The crust was soggy. I would much rather have stuffed pies from Giordano's in Chicago!”

“It has great steaks if you don't own a grill and live near a Safeway of Bashes. Truthfully I think I had higher expectations for this place. My brother in law talked it up as a "the best steak he had ever eaten." I would have to disagree. The steak was alright, nothing extra special except the price, especially high. They do have a very good salad bar. My brother in law was blowing this out of whack as well. It does have caviar on the salad bar but bad caviar. I think the caviar was suppose to give it that sophisticated atmosphere, as if having all the bad caviar you can eat makes it better caviar. It was kind of like dressing a pig up in a prom dress. It is a nice dress but not much of a date. The place needs to be updated and then dusted. I know it is suppose to look rustic but to me dust isn't rustic.”

“I have been dining at Abacus Inn for over 15 years and I love it! The people are very friendly and keep things rolling along. The food is the real reason it is so good. At dinner time, the hot & sour soup is just the right combination of tartness and spices. Loaded with pork, shrimp, etc. My favorite is Kung Po Two. Lots of chicken and shrimp in a spicy sauce. The meat dumplings are fantastic. The real deal is to go before 4:40 pm and order from the lunch menu for the reduced price. You get your entree, egg roll, rice and soup for about $6.50!”

“While the food once ranged from very good to excellent, it's now as if the creators of those dishes are no longer there and the current staff tries to cut corners and seem in particular to like the dominant taste of salt in their food.”

“In town visiting friends and we went to this sports bar by Metro Center Mall in Phoenix, expecting a smoke-free environment because my brother in law told us that Arizona voters recently approved a law banning smoking in bars and restaurants. But there were probably 20 people smoking in the bar, and when we asked the bartender why, it was explained to us that the owner was protesting the law. Apparently he replaced two small windows with slats, and claims that his bar is no longer an "enclosed" room! The bar must have been 9,000 or 10,000 square feet, and two small openings constitute that it's now a patio? We went up the street to a sports bar called Marc's and they were enforcing the law, so we stayed and had a great time.”

“The place was very clean and neat. Despite the smoking ban coming into effect recently, there was *no* lingering smoke smell. Good place to go watch the game and catch a nice-sized tasty lunch. The menu is diverse for people of all walks and tastes, and the staff is friendly (although our server was slow and semi-neglectful). Prices were mid-ranged, but good for the location.”

“I've had better fish from the frozen food section at the grocery store. The "tartar" sauce was some kind of red stuff that tasted vaguely like watered down tomato sauce mixed with unknown ingredients. The meal almost made me wish I was bulimic.”

“The wait staff is often overworked/overwhelmed. The food is very reasonably priced, and good. My favorite is the sweet and sour shrimp and Mu Shu pork. You get what you pay for. You cannot expect five star service when your paying 20.00 to feed four people. For a cheap meal this is my hang out. ”

“I am a Native Phoenician, so let me tell you as a local about barrio café. A very good cafe-style restaurant, the prices can be sometimes a little on the high side (though not like those at the Biltmore or other really high-end places). All things considered, the prices are worth it. Especially when your server rolls over to your table with a mobile mixing table and cuts open a fresh avocado right there in front of you, then proceeds to make the absolutely best guacamole you'll ever have! the tricky part is getting there, barrio cafe is on the same side of 16th street as the 7-11 store and just a block south of it, you'll need to turn onto a side street and then immediately into the parking lot. The restaurant's east wall is just off the sidewalk on 16th St. They do have an enormous selection of tequila ranging in prices from affordable to very expensive per shot. The owner / chef are a lady who immigrated from Mexico and makes great innovative and real Mexican food. If you're accustomed to "taco bell" etcetera you will be amazed, impressed and ashamed of the error of your previous choices at barrio cafe!”

“Servers were terribly rude. After we sat down, it took about 10 minutes for a waitress to even acknowledge our presence, and that was only after we got up from the table to ask for service. After she got to the table she picked up our menus and walked off without taking our orders. We then had to track her down again to ask for the menus back so that we could order. 5 minutes later she came back to take our drink orders, there were 6 of us at the table, she took only one drink order then walked off again, we had to once again get up and place our orders at the service window. After a similar experience ordering food, a second server appeared to deliver the food. She then started yelling at us for sitting where she wanted to stand and server our food, and to make matters even worse she had her thumbs in the gravy of a couple of the dishes. The food was a 4 at best and the service was a 0 at best. Then as we left the first waitress came running out demanding a better tip then the 15% she did not deserve in the first place, but being the holidays we felt we should leave it. ”

“I was visiting my friends who live close by Takes. They ordered delicious platter of sandwiches and bowls of salads for lunch at their house. They food was very nicely presented. The salads were amazing. My favorite was the potatoes and angel. But Asia go and bowtie were just as tasty. And the good thing was that they were all freshly prepared and healthy. Don¿t get me started on their chicken salad, its was just yummy. Their food is quality for the price and just awesome! I'm planning to use Tukees for my next event.”

“We have enjoyed eating at Honey Bears and watching this family run business prosper. From the early days on Honey Bear's seems to operate on the: "God first, Family Second, Success Will Follow" principal. The facilities are always spotlessly clean, the wait staff is courteous and friendly. The food is consistently great. Although we now live 5 states away, we fondly remember the smoked turkey we would have Honey Bear's prepare for giving. The feast was succulent and the turkey soup made from the "smoky bones" is still remembered by family. ”

“In my opinion, this is the best of the popular Mexican Grill style restaurant out there. The food quality is very high, and that puts it above the rest. The rest is what you should come to expect from this style of restaurant. The camel back location could use some better seating, but overall the restaurants is great.”

“They should have paid US to eat there. The food was hardly edible. My girlfriend got sick off the Chicken & Brie sandwich, my nachos were made with nearly-cold Velveeta, my girlfriend's 14 year old son thought the sliders tasted burnt. The place at first seems trendy, but on closer inspection one realizes that it is nothing more than a smoky bar that is not kept up very well. The only plus is that the staff is friendly.”

“Its hard to find a bad review about Nellos. and rightfully so. They are the best, no question. I'm proud to be the first to post a comment about Nellos. I think for the money its one of the bets values in AZ. The food is scrumptulessent, and the place is packed full of people. so for what its worth I rate Nellos number 1 in AZ for pizza.”

“Mainly open to cater to the hungry downtown office workers, the food is pretty good for a quick lunch. The place can get pretty crowded at lunch and doesn't have a lot of seating, otherwise you can get your food to go. In addition to the usual beverages of soda and tea, they also carry some Asian specific beverages such as canned ice tea and milk. The service is usually fast and friendly but be sure to have cash on hand since they don't accept credit or debit cards. ”

“I recently went to this restaurant to visit with a colleague. We ordered drinks and stay 1 hr. This was a Wednesday at 8:30 in the morning and the restaurant was not close to full. At the end of that time I was told that I could not "meet" in their restaurant again because they could "turn tables" faster and I was taking up their space! I explained that I left a 250% tip, and they didn't think that was good enough....I lodged a complain with the corporate offices, and I'll never go back. I went to that restaurant a couple times a month with my family. Some owners are more interested in a buck than being of service to their customers and the community. I'm pretty sure as a customer, its my right to choose what I eat, how quickly I eat it. I'm voting with my feet and I hope you will too!”
