“Unfriendly manager.”

“My actual overall rating is a 9, not a 6. What a great place. After a long day of moving with my family and friends, needed some food and a place to relax. It's a great place near the busy downtown, but just far enough away to be somewhat un-noticed even on a Saturday night. Sit in or out, good view either way. Food was really good. The sour cream & chive fries were outrageous, the best ever, you can't stop. Service was excellent. We loved the drink special.”

“This was the worst restaurant experience I can remember. From the neon red light in the window to the busy red wall paper. And that was the best part of this experience. The food was just plain bad. Half the meal was from a can or sliced lunch meats.”

“Large portions, very tasty ribs, superb salad bar, very pleasant and complete service. A bit messy on the floor by closing time.”

“Rude weird service. Screwed up my order 3 times. Completely ruined more than one evening for me and my family. Every time we go in there the servers fight over who gets stuck with us. Then the long wait to be addressed. The servers usually smell like smoke. The managers I've spoken with usually behave as though they can't be bothered to treat you like a human being. All around a poor establishment that doesn't live up to any doesn't standards.”

“Delicious food, friendly staff and reasonably priced. One of the best Chinese restaurants I have visited. You won't be disappointed!”

“The Mexican restaurant was obviously a favorite with the locals. The food and service was excellent and the margaritas tasty after a long day's travel. The atmosphere was kind of like a sports bar with the big screen TV in the dining room, so I would not call it romantic, whatever that means.”

“I can see why people would enjoy the breakfast here. Flagstaff is surrounded by national forests and sits at the foot of Arizona's highest mountain, Humphrey's Peak, all of which provide a wonderful backdrop to breakfast in this quaint location. However, the service took forever. So much so, that it was almost a running joke. Had the cafe had another name it wouldn't have mattered, but offering such slow service with the name Cafe Express you're asking for it! Overall, the food was good. But, absolutely starving of hunger after an early morning drive from Scottsdale on the way to the Grand Canyon (and pressed for time) taking an hour for simple breakfast orders simply didn't cut it, sorry.”

“We were hesitant to try Black Bart's because locals we know said it was too touristy. We decided to try it last night and thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of the restaurant. The service, food, and entertainment were all great. It was enjoyable listening to the NAU students sing and they were all great. While other reviews rated the price high, we thought the prices were very reasonable, given the excellent food and entertainment. We'll definitely take friends there when they visit.”

“A terrific surprise during motorcycling trips to Flagstaff. The staff is hip and well managed and more than willing to accommodate special requests. Monsoon will make it into our motorcycling guide for the Southwest. We are not all beer and fries people!”

“My husband and I eat here frequently. They don't have a huge menu, but they have an excellent selection and the food is always fresh and delicious. I'm not a sushi fan, but they do have a large sushi menu and I hear from friends that it is really good. The prices are more than fair and they have a full bar too. Try the cucumber salad. They have an outdoor covered patio that is great in nice weather. The atmosphere is nice, but they do have a large screen TV that is usually on without the sound. I would consider it romantic except for the TV. And I don't think they have a kid's menu--but I'm not sure. Tip: Their plastic chopsticks are heavy and difficult to use, but you can ask for their bamboo "to-go" chopsticks which seem to work much better.”

“Best burger I've had in a long time. Good music, friendly service and hot apple pie for dessert. What more can a man ask for!”

“The burritos are very tasty. The chicken is a little dry, much like the people working there. A few of the workers were friendly; many of them seemed bothered by customers. I heard a few racial comments coming from the kitchen while I was eating. Some of the employees smelled like alcohol but I couldn't tell if they were really drunk or just acting. If you can get past the people working there, the food is worth eating. I would suggest taking it to go if you should decide to eat in this establishment.”

Just not a franchise, which seems to dominate this town. The whole family enjoyed the rooftop patio.”

“Dingy, grimy and not overly welcoming. Food and service very average.”

“This restaurant has the best barbeque and hamburgers around. There are three venues where you can eat, my favorite is the patio.”

“Best barbecue I have had in ages. The onion rings also hit the spot. I love the rugby games and the layout of this restaurant. It was Halloween and the place was decorated beautifully.”

“I loved the bar b queue and the pool tables. We were there for dinner and stayed until 10 just playing on these well taken pool tables. The food was excellent.”

“This was one of the best Italian restaurants I have eaten at on the East coast, West coast, or in between. I will be back whenever I visit Flagstaff. It may be a bit pricey, and the fresh food may take a while to prepare, but it will be worth the wait.”

“Fun place for lunch or dinner. The barbeque was excellent and the burgers char broiled. The rooftop patio has great view of the city.”

“It has been over ten years since I lived in Flagstaff, when I frequented Macy's sometimes several times a day, and I still long for their espresso and fabulous pastries! It's a great place to get vegan and vegetarian cuisine from an owner who cares about customers enough to prepare food and beverages that are high quality from start to finish. When in Flagstaff, you MUST visit Macy's European Coffeehouse!”

“Very expensive food in a very small area. Service was slow, the food was fine, but the smallness didn't leave any room for conversation.”

“Excellent pizza, good service, and lovely ambiance. The acoustical guitarist was an added touch to the rooftop dining area.”

“If you like natural food, this is one of the better places if Flagstaff. However, the food staff needs to be a little more hygienic. The overall experience was doable.”

“Mogollon's has been a home away from home to me for the duration of my Flagstaff life. The locals are good people and the workers carry the spirit of the brew. Whenever I meet someone new in Flagstaff it was always the first place I directed them. I miss my favorite watering hole and all the people in it. I think I'm home-sick. I must be I looked it up on the Internet! The pictures hold no justice.”

“This was a so experience. The food and service was OK but the feel of the restaurant was slightly dingy. With a little interior cleaning this would be a better place to eat.”

“We stopped from the train station, and found this incredible bar restaurant. We stayed on the rooftop and starred at the view for 2 hours while being served a delicious pizza.”

“Blue corn tortillas wrapped around chicken or spinach poblano enchiladas - very good. Skip the rice and beans and order the enchiladas a la carte. Save room for the Sopapillas! These are huge, puffy and hot, 50 cents each - served with packets of honey. Not a romantic spot, but great for families. Service is nice but a bit slow. We would make it a point to come back to Kachina Downtown next time we are in Flagstaff.”

“ This restaurant is located in an RV park. I found recommendations online and in the AAA book. We decided to give it a try. In this restaurant the waiters and waitresses sing old tunes to the crowd. This was the only good thing about the restaurant. Unfortunately, the service was very poor. Too busy singing. The food was a step up from dog food For three people we paid $103.00. I felt robbed. My first companion ordered the angel hair pasta pomodora. It was plain angel hair pasta with canned chopped tomatoes on top. No flavor what so ever. My other companion ordered the 9 oz fillet. Artificially flavored and tenderized. I order the sirloin with salmon. The sirloin was so tough, I chewed until I had to spit. I gave up on the steak. The salmon was fair. A little dry and overcooked. Skip the baked beans. They are boiled light kidney beans. Skip the ""famous"" cobbler unless you like apple pie. It is apple pie, not cobbler. The bathroom in the restaurant is a scream. So nice to meet up with someone from the RV park taking a shower (the restaurant bathroom is also the bathhouse for the RV park).”

This restaurant is the perfect place to fill up on high quality food at a very reasonable price!”

“Go into the wine loft and they'll charge you five bucks to uncork the bottle they just sold to you. Also, found that a mysterious 10 bucks was added on my bill when I got my statement.”
