• High prices, low quality, bad service.

“Are you kidding me? Plastic table cloths! menu prices too high for the quality of food. Service was horrible. My steak was overcooked, server never offered to take it back and have it recooked. Never saw a manager. Not the same restaurant I remember years ago when it was on the beach. Must be new owners, no class to the restaurant at all. Will never go back when I visit Gulf Shores. Save your money and dine elsewhere.”

• Love it, love the food most of all.
• No negatives, this is one of my favorites.

“I have been eating at Nolan's Restaurant for many years and have always found it to be one of the best. This restaurant is one that my family enjoys. We always eat at least one meal there when we are at the beach.”

• The service and the manager!

“I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. The service was slow. The manager was the rudest and most condescending person I have met in a long time. This restaurant knows they will get the business they need just because they were on the beach.”

“I like so many come to Gulf Shores at least 3/4 times a year and always eat at Bahamas Bob's. Great atmosphere, especially when sitting on the deck outside overhearing the waves from the ocean. Service is great and the food is also good. The only downside is not enough parking, so go early if you can. Also, try the Bushwhackers. yummy.”

“My husband and I absolutely love Bahama Bobs. We go to Gulf Shores 5 to 6 times a year and always eat there two or three times during our stay. Great food, atmosphere and service.”

• Whatever you want to eat whenever you want it.
• Not open 24 hours!

“Big O's is one of the best all around restaurants on the island. What can I say? Bourbon and coke, cup of coffee and two pancakes so enormous I couldn't finish them. Now that's breakfast! A "Locals" establishment that welcomes the travelers and tourists. When you want a good meal at a good price and you don't want to gamble your meal experience. Just go to Big Os.”

• Atmosphere made me feel like I was on the Med.
• Felt totally unwelcome.

“The food was mediocre in quality, flavor and selection. The atmosphere left a guest hopeful of a quality dining experience. The service was perhaps typical of an establishment that takes itself more seriously than its patrons do. Since I was there on a very late "working dinner" perhaps I was not in perfect unison with their dress code and the staff had distinct disdain for my "less than wealthy" appearance. The servers were surly and inattentive, refills were non-existent and the tab was substantial. I have never been back, nor do I recommend it to anyone.”

• Sodas are overpriced but they were everywhere in Gulf Shores.

• Freshest steamed seafood, Gulf Coast atmosphere.
• Absolutely nothing!

“The Steamer is a must go place for us when we visit Gulf Shores! It is an authentic "beach seafood joint" such as were popular fifty years ago, only their seafood is steamed, not fried! Great portions, reasonable prices, cold beer, and genuine beach front ambiance. Try the Turtle's cheesecake!! Give yourself enough time to really savor your bucket of food and enjoy the view. If the weather permits, dine on the patio and enjoy people watching. It is really prime. We have not been down since the hurricanes, but I understand they have bounced back. I pray that this is so. The Gulf Shores Steamer makes us feel like we are really back on the Gulf again!”

• Anything you order is cooked perfect.
• Wait at night can be 45 minutes but well worth the wait.

“Best steak I have ever had at a restaurant. Seafood is the best in gulf shores by far. Always eat there at least twice when I¿m in gulf shores.”

• We have never had anything but great experiences here!
• Parking is sometimes cramped-

“My family and friends have vacationed in gulf shores and enjoyed eating here for years! It is a short walking distance from several nice condos. So, after a day at the beach sunning, we enjoy our walks for lunch. We usually order a pitcher of beer and love the shrimp and fish sandwiches! They have great gumbo and fried onion rings. Wonderful place to kick back in a casual atmosphere with friends and family. The service is prompt and servers are always friendly. Never have I ordered anything on the menu that I didn't thoroughly enjoy! We have actually vacationed in gulf shores just because we love this place! If we could, we would just about eat every meal here!”

• All of the parking that was available was not readily apparent.

“This hole-in-the-wall looking Grill was the source of the best meal that I had while spending the labor day weekend in that area. The place reminded me of the old neighborhood food joints of ester-year. It was very family friendly, the waitress was excellent and the cook did not mind sharing his recipes. The grilled shrimp and peel-and-eat shrimp meals that my wife and I had were outstanding. I only regret that we found the place on our way home and not when we arrived, and I did not get to find out how good their other food items might be.”

“This is an awesome restaurant. My hubby and I had never been to Gulf Shores and we found this restaurant by driving around. We were there 2 days and we ate there 3 times! It was that GREAT! Treat yourself and eat here...You will not be disappointed!”

• Location and atmosphere isn't all that great.

“Having dined here several times over the years, this place is an undiscovered gem. If you like the Oyster House, and do not need a lot of ambiance, the food is great, a little less expensive, and you can get a table without the horrible wait at the Oyster House.”

• The baked oysters with cheese were so good, I craved them the rest of our 8 day trip.
• Nothing negative .

“To me, this restaurant was a little hole in the wall with lots of character, a good ole place to go eat, laugh, and be happy. The food was wonderful, the oysters that are baked with the cheese, jalapeños, and toppings are a must! YUMMY!! The pizza was fabulous and definitely filled us all up, we only ordered 2 larges and there were 6 of us. It is not a glamorous restaurant by far, but I'm so glad we found this place. Everyone was very friendly, and there seemed to be lots of locals that hang out there. Just a good ole place, with the good ole boys!! Try it, you'll like it!!!! ”

“In 30 years of visiting eateries for "a large motor club", this is the filthiest place I have ever seen, employees don't wash hands after using restroom, kitchen or serving utensils kept in greasy pants pockets and dropped on the floor, saw one bartender bending over and dragging his hair through food, truly disgusting joint. Entire facility was filthy, service slow and surly.”

“If you go to Gulf Shores then you must eat at Mikees. Everyone there is so nice they make you feel at home, and the food is the best. We go there at least once a year for 10 years and have never had a problem.”
