“Service is terrible! Actually had words with the wait staff and asked to speak to a manager, the manager didn't even have the nerve to show himself! We left without paying and the waitress who cared more to go out back and smoke than to do her job, said she was calling the police. Go ahead, we had our lawyer with us. Nothing could happen after the drama she displayed! Really unforgettable experience! This was a while back, and it still haunts the group of us.”

“Show was very enjoyable, and dinner was great. Planning on a return trip next month. Square tables for groups along the wall would be better for group seating.”

“Traveled to Wytheville with a group of ladies last year, and enjoyed the Log House! Dinner and dessert was $25 each, but well worth it. The atmosphere and time spent with friends was very enjoyable. Visiting again in Nov. and going to call ahead for reservations if possible.”

“We went there for my brother's birthday. We called ahead and asked if they had a cake that we could order to serve at the end. We made sure that they knew this was for a birthday. They didn't have a cake, so we brought one. The food was pretty good, service was acceptable, but at the end, when we brought out the cake, the waitresses disappeared completely. I seeked the eldest one out asking if we could get a knife to cut it with, and I was read the riot act about how we didn't buy the cake from them. Well, we didn't have to buy the food from them either! Not a good place for family occasions such as birthdays.”

“The ad said Steak House, more like a local diner atmosphere. Waitress was good. We ordered the seafood platter, broiled. The fish (flounder) was way overcooked almost to the point it look like it was fried. The few scallops were just OK, kind of crusty, the shrimp were OK, and the crab cake was very poor. Mostly filler and also looked like it was fried. After ordering the seafood platter I was encouraged that a local at the next table ordered it as well. I hope hers was better than ours. We won't go back.”

“First of all, I've only been for breakfast but they serve a wide variety of lunch and dinner items that look and sound very tasty! Breakfast is home-made from scratch, old-fashioned delicious. The staff is the kind of friendly you can only find in these local places that count on repeats and regulars. Biscuits and Sausage Gravy, Eggs made your way, Steak and Eggs, Pork-chop Biscuits, Ham Biscuits, even Fried Salt-fish - you name it! Sandwiches with choice of bread and add tomatoes and condiments and whatever you want. Daily specials for lunch and dinner. (Big Menu) Cozy dining areas with televisions, sweet and pretty servers, owner in the kitchen making sure everything is good, and even an outdoor dining area with grilled food when weather permits. Can't call it romantic because its too bright and open, but definitely family friendly. I've never heard a complaint from anyone whose been there. Prices are very reasonable.”

“Only good to watch sports on the many TV's and have a beer. Food is terrible and highly overpriced. Looks like its all straight from Sam's Club and just microwaved. And the lay-out of the building is really weird.”

“Personally, I like the Outback food. I enjoy the steaks and have also had nice fish. But, the local Outback has a smoking section that oozes out to the rest of the restaurant and that results in an unpleasant dining experience. I will not be back until the state smoking ban takes effect so that I can enjoy my meal.”

“I had lunch at Zeppoli's today, a Friday with a friend/colleague. The food was great - I had the salmon & capers over pasta; my colleague had a sandwich. Food was prepared nicely, served hot, and service was quick and friendly. Cost was under $10 each. Over the years I've had dinner there many times and almost always had a great meal. Today was the first time I'd been there for lunch. I'll definitely go back. My only complaint is that the decor is looking a bit worn, the place could use a little sprucing up.”

“I have been to Japanese steakhouses in numerous states, but this was the worst experience by far. To begin with the container for dirty dishes and utensils was less than 4 feet from the table. The chicken was exceptionally dry, and the portions on the smaller size. The bill for my husband and myself was over $50.00 for two entrees, no rice, and hot tea and the food and atmosphere did not justify the expense.”

“Took the wife and kids 12 & 10 for an early dinner. Arriving at 4:30 we were seated at a round booth immediately. Note that I have been here after 5:30 and have had to wait a significant amount of time for a table for 2. It is not too bad a situation if you don't have kids and can wait in the fantastic bar, which also gets crowded. The waitress was prompt and the service was great. I had the grilled Rib Eye, my wife and daughter shared the crab cake/filet mignon surf and turf and my son had the fried chicken strips. I was a little disappointed with the salad, you might want to try the Caesar. All in all the food was great and the total experience very nice.”

“I love Pho, so this is a cheap place to go if you want a huge bowl of soup. The ingredients to throw into your Pho are fresh. The atmosphere and restaurant itself is very run down-looking. If you are just looking for good, cheap Vietnamese Pho, then this is the place to go eat.”

“The best pizza I have ever had. Ducking from Stray Bullets was a little hard, and the Whiskey Tango was a little thick, but the terror was well worth it. Good Pizza!”

“Overpriced. When you walk in the door, you'll here the restaurant yell Fish-On! If you're a fisherman, you'll understand this. Your wallet has just been hooked. You can get better Crabcakes at Long John Silvers. Service was very slow considering their fare was fresh from the freezer.”

“You might expect a place this good in San Antonio - not New Market. Chips are great with very good salsa, plus a really neat spicy Coleslaw. Food is plentiful and tastes great. Real value, easy parking, worlds apart from Taco Bell - this is the real stuff. This place is the favorite of the natives and various businessman.”

“The food here was so crummy that it put me in a bad mood - even the lovely view of the Potomac couldn't compensate for it. We both ordered the House Specialty - a Crab Cake and a 6oz. Beef tenderloin wrapped in Applewood Bacon. I swear, that one strip of bacon surrounding the hard hockey-puck steak was the best thing on the plate. The steak was ordered medium, and arrived dry and chewy. It was laughable, like a cartoon steak that could also be used as a weapon. The vegetables were watery, the salad limp, and the baked potato undercooked. The Crab Cakes, the Iced Tea, and the nice waitress were tolerable, but there is no question you'd get a better meal at the Golden Corral for half the price. Awful.”

“If you like wings and beer, this is the place to go. You definitely have a wait for the food but once it comes you know it is well worth it. Mmmm! Staff is very friendly and on top of your order. Only downfall (for me) is the smoking.”

“You are definitely paying for atmosphere and service. The service was exquisite but the food did not match the service and atmosphere. For the most part the food presentation was nice. Steaks straight off the grill, still sizzling hot, served on hot plates with wooden chargers. I was a bit upset to see mashed potatoes served on a small side plate scooped with an ice cream scoop. We ordered several different cuts at different temperatures and received all our entrees at the same time, and we were all very satisfied with the temperatures our steaks were cooked, but the consensus of the table was that the steaks were not anything worth getting excited over. The price point of the menu was higher than typical corporate chain steakhouse but lower than your more extravagant restaurants. If you are simply looking for a great steak I would pass on this place. If you are looking for a quaint environment and good service, possibly a date location, I would not totally suggest Aberdeen Barn but then again I wouldn't disregard it. The table did not order any seafood.”

“I had been a long time patron of Anthony & Apos;s in Falls Church (close to my work). I was overjoyed when they opened a Manassas location near my home. A man ruined that for me. I was doing some painting in my home & called in a carry-out order. When I arrived I felt as if I was being looked up & down for wearing work clothes in their. While the food is excellent, I will never step foot in that place again. My advice is if your dressed nicely (usually I am), you will be fine. Otherwise, choose another place.”

“The combination fried rice is off the roof. Years ago it used to be fried cat, but they have since cleaned up their act here. I miss the brown bread which was white bread sprayed with a little brown sauce, get the Luau Garden Special drink, definitely one of the best.”

“Had read previous review so we were a little hesitant, but went anyway. My husband and I each had a delicious meal and our waitress was friendly, attentive and helpful. We would recommend the restaurant to someone with even the most discerning of taste.”

“I had the misfortune to listen to a local radio add about the Chincoteague Inn. The ad stated that you could dock your boat at the Inn and enjoy waterfront dining. What a mistake. Some of our children were down to our home in Greenbackville, Va, just across the bay from Chincoteague. We decided that it would be a fun boat trip and an opportunity for our guests to see the local scenery. It was Saturday August 8th and arrived at around 12 noon. We docked our boat and were seated at a table that was just a bit sticky. We ordered our beverages, meals and hush puppies for an appetizer. The hush puppies arrived and they were hot and good. Its unfortunate that I hadnt the foresight to leave at the high point of the day. It wasnt a complicated order: 2 soft crab sandwiches, 4 crab patty sandwiches and a chicken sandwich. When the order arrived the soft crab that my wife and I ordered were stone cold which to me is akin to eating a cold soft boiled egg. Also the 4 crab patties were just lukewarm. The chicken sandwich was nowhere to be found. We sent our soft crabs back so they could be heated up. The nuked soft shell crabs returned hot and now they were truly soft with no crunch at all. Still no chicken sandwich. Of course the lackadaisical waitress blamed it on the kitchen. The long and short of our experience was that it took us an hour and a half to get a bill that had an 18% gratuity already included in it. This explained the total lack of customer service. My advice is to pack a lunch next time and have a picnic on an Island.”

“The rave reviews on other sites, and the letters of endorsement in the lobby cannot change the cockroaches that were crawling out of the bread basket and on the wall next to my table. I had already ordered the Delmonico steak - cooked right, but a very cheap, tasteless piece of meat, when I saw the first of 4 roaches on my table. I got my check without finishing the meal. The woman at the desk never asked me how I liked the meal, maybe she knows something. Do not go there.”

“This place has a nice atmosphere and friendly bartenders and servers. Unfortunately, Grevey's charges are far more than what its food and drinks are worth. As a regular there, the only thing keeping me there is the geography. I can easily get better food and drinks at many places at a far lower price. A $10 steak and cheese sandwich is tiny, but has much meat.”

“We went for the first time tonight. The staff was good, nice friendly. The stuffed shrimp was very good. Other than that the other five of us were very disappointed. Crab cakes reminded me of fish cakes sold at Murry Steaks 20 years ago. Crab legs seemed to have been cooked hours earlier. Being a local and taking friends from out of town to dinner, we wanted really good sea food. There is very good sea food available at the two other restaurants in town. Stay away from this one.”

“Delicious Lebanese food, taboule and Kibbe I've had in a very long time. The beef Kafta plate was amazing, very tasty Lebanese wine and the Coconut cream cake was out of this world. Excellent service, friendly, welcoming and attentive staff. Very impressive for such a small neighborhood restaurant.”

“I came into town & immediately opted Applebee's out and went to Ruby Tuesday's for my first night's dinner, which was horrible! My favorite New Orleans meal was disastrous! The next day I went out with some people from training who wanted to head to Applebee's and ordered the Three-Cheese Chicken Penne! FANTASTIC! This was one of the best meals I have had in a really long time. Thanks Applebee's, you have regained a customer (actually, a few new customers; I'm passing on the word to my family).”

“The food and service were great, we were a party of four and tried a variety of dishes. We have passed this restaurant many times in the past mainly due to the lack of cars in the lot. Something must have changed because they seem quite busy now. It is on our must stop list when in the area.”

“Terrible service. We went there for lunch during the 4th of July, and the food was mediocre for the price, the service was so slow (25 minutes for a cold sandwich and chicken strips), and the staff was not very friendly. I was expecting a little more from a small-town dining establishment! For the price, I would suggest another venue to dine at.”

“I am a local of the Harrisonburg area. Harrisonburg has plenty of restaurants, but Tradition's is a family friendly atmosphere and it is always a treat to go there. The food is definitely great. Definitely home made flavor and country style foods. If you have never been there before, its a great place to go and you honestly get your moneys worth. And if you don't get full, that's your own fault.”
