• Dirty, poor service and unfriendly waiters.

“We were very disappointed in the service, the waiters did act like they were doing us a favor by offering us service, it was very slow and the waiter was very abrupt unfriendly. The food arrived on time, but it was just mediocre, nothing to write home about that is for sure. You can get much better at BB King's House of Blues on Beale Street or at Neely's BBQ. The restaurant looked unclean and the rest room was filthy.”

“This used to be my favorite restaurant in town. I have been told that management has changed in the past 3 years, which could be the reason for decline in quality of food. Used to be the best around, its still okay, but not like it used to be. Last time my girlfriend and I ate there, we were sat in the bar area and we noticed a lot of flies around our table. Although we had no complaints about the food, everything was as ordered, and the food was great! Noticed on the way out that the restaurant health score was not up to our standards. Probably won't return for awhile.”

“We were traveling through and stopped at Tony's. I had the Manicotti and it was awesome! Pizzas are great, too. We loved it so much, we went back the next day! Don't miss this place - you'll be glad you stopped.”

“I have been going to Ellendale's since it was opened & was greatly disappointed when I took my wife there on for their Valentine special. They were unnecessarily crowded. We were seated late then the service went down from there. I was greatly disappointed.”

“Two people came by the table to get our drinks before our server showed up without a greeting. Just, "Have you decided?" She looked like she just didn't want us to be there. The food was average at best. I had asked to exchange the green beans for rice as a side. I asked our server. And, was told that they said the rice was a garnish. And, I had to pay for the side. That would have been fine if I had of been told. I don't mind to spend money on good food and service. But Harrison's has a long way to go.”

• Very disappointed drove out of our way to eat here and found it closed for the winter.

“The best seafood anywhere in the area, my wife and I eat here every time were in the area and love it, however, we had planned eating at cowboys while we were in pigeon forge this year on 1-17-09, we were very disappointed when we arrived their on our anniversary only to find cowboy's was closed for the season, I had looked it up on internet while planning our stay but nothing I found anywhere indicated being closed for the winter season.”

“If you are ever in, Clarksville TN and want to visit a local microbrewery I would suggest giving Black Horse pub a miss. There seem to be good reviews for this place, so I thought that it would be a worthwhile venture, that would be a mistake. Their beer has a low alcohol content and their pail ale is simply undrinkable (it was the first time I threw out beer). It may be the best place in town, but that is because it is the only place in town.”

“I'll begin with the one downside of this restaurant. Location! Unfortunately for the owners they are not located on a widely used area. Sure they're close to the Turnpike and too Illinois Ave., but they -aren't- on either. So for the casual traveler new to the area the likelihood of stumbling upon the place is unlikely. Also the size of the restaurant hurts it in different ways. With a larger location they could definitely improve the atmosphere you wouldn't feel so crowded or like you're in a run down building. If you can avoid letting these cons bother you you'll find it to be one of the best Mexican restaurants in Oak Ridge (if not the best!). The service is great and the food is amazing. The prices are unbelievable when you see just how much you can get for your dollar. Bang for your buck is here in big fashion and there is tons of variety with different combos, red sauce, queso, green sauce, etc. Everything you could want in a Mexican restaurant, quiet, fast service, great food, amazing prices, and it has that special feeling that makes it your place.”

“I've taken daughter's family to Cheddars several times since it opened. It is one of the better places to dine with child in area. They normally mess up at least one item on the order and we have to wait for it to be replaced. If busy servers are rude, otherwise they are friendly. Took husband with us for first time on Saturday and he has severe food poisoning from salad, maybe the chicken in it. Bread is super and we've had great food and not so great on the same items so it might depend upon the cook and how busy they are.”

“This place is great! They start you off with apple fritters and apple julep, very delicious! The best vegetable soup comes with almost every adult meal. If you're still hungry after that the food is absolutely delicious as well. There is usually a long wait, but it is very well worth it. My husband and I actually drove the 3 1/2 hrs to Pigeon Forge just to take my in-laws there to eat. Highly recommended!”

• Wish there were more restaurants throughout middle Tennessee.

“We've eaten at the Shelbyville Legends several times over the years and have always enjoyed the food and service. Recently we were in Smyrna, TN and ate at the Smyrna location. We were very impressed. We didn't know if they could keep the same high quality food and service but they did. My wife loves their spinach casserole and fruit tea and I love their steaks. Two thumbs up!”

“The food here is more than worth the money. You can get a 1 pound hot off the grill cheese burger with the fixins for next to nothing. We stop in on our way back to Memphis and ordered a couple of mammoth Wimpy Burgers, 120 or so miles later I was just as full as when I left the table. Come to think of it, I was full until breakfast the next morning.”

“The ladies that run the place lack professionalism that the previous owner brought to the place. The food is never consistent, as it was when he was there, and the service is slow. They plainly play and smell of smoke when they come to your table. Although the prices are okay, when you get your food, its cold. There is no focus on the details.”

“I disagree - I love the Magnolia Tree. It is a basic place - nothing fancy. The best thing on the menu is the Chicken-Spinach pie. It is wonderful! I have always found it clean and the service friendly.”

“I love this place! The food is great--so many choices! They are very accommodating to any changes to their menu to suit your tastes. The people who work there are sweet and helpful, and food always gets out quickly, no matter how busy they are. I work nearby and eat here as much as I can!”

“Heard only about this place. Went early, around 5, but not necessary, to make sure of having a seat at 8 for. Enjoyed seeing all the guitars and knowing all those artists played there. Food was great. I went for the catfish with a side of red beans/rice. My friend got the Memphis BBQ. Both were generous portions and excellent value.”

• I would like table waiters more knowledgeable of all the food.

“We have be to Royal Panda several times. The food is well prepared and in large portions. It appears to be clean and well kept, however, I have never seen the health inspection form in a visible location so customers can view it. Sometimes the cashier seems unfriendly, but I suppose she is very busy and focused on doing business and not friendly conversation with customers. My rating of romantic as no, well its just me I guess, but my idea of romantic would include a beautiful view from a window seat, not so here. But it is still a pleasant eating experience.”

The food is not consistent, something or someone has changed the recipes again. The service is the biggest change since the younger owner had it, He is missed by my family. We will not be back.”

“My family of 10 went to Legends a couple nights ago to celebrate my birthday. We had a wonderful experience. Our server was very nice and very professional. When we ordered, she was very helpful on helping us with the menu. The food came out very quick and was very good. I will come back again and more so.”

“They don't change there grease as often as hey should. The service was not good and the food is cold by the time you pull over to eat it. Everyone there looks like they need a long bath. It's just to nasty for me. If you want to eat there, trust me you pay way too much for the greasy food you get. I don't recommend you go there.”

• Poorly run, poor service, buffet line not well tended.

“This restaurant closed when the corporation wanted them to remodel their restaurant - which really needed it. KFCs are usually good, but this one needed to close. The buffet line was not well tended, and most of the items always looked old on the line. It's a shame. Martin needs a KFC. We have a great Taco Bell and McDonalds. The Burger King is pretty good too. We even have a decent Long John Silvers. I wish someone would open another KFC and run it right.”

“My husband was in town for job training when we stumbled upon this restaurant. Our family loved this place! It has something for everyone. I've never seen such a huge variety of quality foods. The waitress was awesome. Looks like we will be traveling 70 miles to our new favorite restaurant now.”

Some friends and I drove down from Vandy and ate here before we went to see a band play at the bar next door. Inexpensive and convenient. If you visit Franklin, try it!”

• Unusual way to fry chicken good!
• Need better tables and chairs.

“I saw this place on Food Network on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. I guess it qualified as a dive, but the chicken looked so good. I drove from Nashville to Memphis to give it a try. The chicken was great and unusual; fried and then dipped in a sauce. The corn nuggets were great too!”

“This is one of Clarksville's hidden treasures. I would have never gone in if it wasn't for the recommendation. The outside is interesting, looks kind of weird, but inside is very nice. You sit around a grill and they cook your food in front of you. They entertain while they cook. They throw stuff around and the whole bit. They have a wide variety of options to order from. Absolutely delicious food! I ordered the chicken. They also offer fresh sushi. I really wish I could go there everyday!”

“Never go there during breakfast time. It will take you at least 20-30 mins to get your order and then it usually will be the wrong items. Always check your food before leaving the store to make sure you got what you ordered.”

“My motorcycle could visited Memphis and did a computer search for an eatery with a varied menu that would please everyone. As we rode our bikes past so many places to eat I wondered if I made a good choice. When we arrived in the hotel we were greeted very nicely and had the best meal many of us had in a long time. The portions were large and the food was very good. They have a very broad menu and quite a few house specials. I had fried flounder with a cheese spinach shrimp and crayfish topping, turnip greens, and fried green tomatoes. It was excellent! Everyone enjoyed their meals and promised to come back when we visited Memphis again. I was congratulated for making such a good choice.”

“Best coffee I have ever had. Awesome drinks and selections you can pretty much create your own flavor of smoothie, iced coffee, latte, etc. They have wonderful food salads, soups, and sandwiches, many of which are made from organically grown veggies. Great atmosphere inside or out on the porch, and friendly, efficient employees. I would go every day if I could!”
