• Poor quality and terrible service.

“We tried with several others getting the $9.99 special. Pizza came back doughy with 2 of them, they recooked 1, made another for our friends, it was the same, waiter said that is how it is. When mine came back, it was burnt around the edges and manager said this one wont be burnt, tossed it on the table and left, no apology or anything ! Don't care about going back!”

“The food is too expensive and not delicious. Dinner food at its worst. They should spend less money advertising and more money with their food supplier. The staff is completely useless. Every waitress in there looked like they were about to fall asleep.”

• View of sea lions right below the restaurant from the deck.
• Terrible fried food, overpriced, run down and old.

“The only thing this restaurant has going for, it is the view of the Sea Lions from their deck. Our children thought that was fun to watch, but other than that the food was way overpriced and not good. All the seafood is fried. And it was way overpriced for what you got. The waitress wasn't pleasant either. Would not eat here again for anything. Highly disappointed, especially since we were looking for really good seafood!”

• Loved the Bread pudding and Clam Chowder and the place was cute and nautical in feel.
• None.

“The place was cute, but I Wanted to drive back over the mountains on our way to Portland to fly home for one more serving of their Bread Pudding. I do not even like bread pudding, but this dessert was out standing in any dessert arena. The chowder was great and the fish and fish taco's were great too, But it was the bread pudding that I was tempted to drive hours out of my way to have one more time.”

“Host and wait staff was not enthused about their jobs. Mozzarella sticks were obviously frozen food, and cold in the middle. The entrees were good, but our anniversary was tainted by a slouchy and inattentive staff. 2 stars.”

“What a pleasant surprise Cimmiyotti's was for my family. My Portobello mushrooms were amazing and the bread and relish trays before the meal complimented the entire experience for us. Both my children loved their food and my husband's steak was cooked perfectly. The young man who served us had top notch manners that matched his impeccable service, with a tie and a clean apron the atmosphere could not have been better. I would recommend Cimmiyotti's to anyone! A definite 10!”

“Just don't order the fish! I realize that this is a beef restaurant but the reviews I read were so glowing that I thought fish would be OK too. I ordered Ono and my husband ordered Halibut ($22-24 each). We both sent them back. They were over cooked, tough (as in frozen). Even the pineapple salsa was as dry as the fish. We paid only for their limited bits we actually ate and we were glad to get out of there.”

• Depending on the night, it may take longer to be served, but worth the wait!

“This has to be our favorite place to go when we are in Joseph! The kids can't wait to go to Ember's! My son usually gets the Pub Burger and my daughter loves the Hawaiian Pizza. My favorite is the Garlic Chicken Calzone! Yummy! The service may be a little slower, but the waitresses are all very nice, personable people who take time with everyone like you are old friends. The atmosphere is great. We always bring our dog with us when we are camping or hiking in the area, and she lays under the table in the outdoor deck or patio area. The mountain views are breathtaking, sunsets are beautiful and Friday/Saturday nights they have live music outside, and last but not least, they do have the best beer selection! Nothing like a long days hike and coming down to a good meal and a nice cold draught beer! Go to Ember's, you will NOT be sorry!”

• Wonderful little gift shop attached to the restaurant.
• Quality poor in comparison to the price of food.

“We had the Salmon and Fish & Chips. The fish & chips were soggy ($17.00). The batter around the fish was not crisp and was more cake like in consistency, but the fish did have a good flavor and was not over cooked. The Cole slaw that came with it was bland. The salmon price was fair but it was served over a tomato slice and a piece of bread making it unappetizing. The side salad was just thrown on the plate with the salmon instead of in a separate bowl. Overall, the food was way over priced and the quality was poor for the price we paid. Not accommodating for special requests.”

“Really great pizza, we had the Bulldog which the guy said was great, and it was. We will be sure to come back as there was a garlic chicken pizza that sounded wonderful. Played a few hands of poker and had some beer. Great time.”

“This is a great place to sit and enjoy a beer if the weather is nice and you can be outside. Inside is pretty cramped and lacks ambiance or theme. You need to see those majestic mountains for it to be worthwhile. Food is so-so, service fair, beer great!”

• Fantastic hash browns, individually wrapped freezer jams, and robust, no frills family entries.
• The entrance to the parking lot could be better designed.

“Roosters is a fantastic family restaurant, clearly head and shoulders above 95% of the other such establishments. The previous reviewer who suggested that they should have grabbed fast food, was without question unduly harsh, if not lying in the post outright. This restaurant boasts an outstanding variety of entries, many of which are much better than at most other family priced restaurants, especially in this area, and I should know, for I have been to many of the others. Roosters is not only much better than fast food, but also significantly better than other family chain restaurants like Denny's or Shari's.”

• The food is good. View of the Clackamas River is a plus. This would be the reason I might return.
• Desperately needs a makeover. Ugly, worn out, old frumpy decor and outdated color schemes.

“We were very disappointed with our choice of Fish & Chips. The fish was extremely small in portion, and reminded me of something you would buy out of a frozen box at the supermarket. They were not real pieces of Halibut. Burger was okay at a decent price. The place was uninviting for a place that was suppose to be special at the beach.”

• Can't think of anything negative. We had a great experience!

“I organized a get together/meal/celebration at Lago De Chapala after my son's graduation, May 2, 2009. There were 23 people in our party and we were greeted promptly and seated right away. (I had made reservations in advance.) The staff was polite, friendly and helpful. Our orders were taken in a timely manner and were all delivered promptly and nearly all at the same time. (That's amazing with that size of a group!) The food was delicious and piping hot. Great authentic Mexican food! We brought in our own celebration cake for afterwards, and the staff quickly brought forks, plates and a serving knife (which we had forgotten.) Great experience. I'd definitely eat there again!”

“I have been going to Matsukaze for about 20 years. I have never lived in Grants Pass but have always been willing to travel 2 or more hours to eat there. I have had a lot of Japanese food in my life but never as good as this. They're consistently delicious and the prices have stayed very reasonable. Their teriyaki is to die for, I don't know the secret but its the best I've ever had. Tempura is the best I've ever had as well. Nothing bad to say about them except they need to put one in Eugene.”

“My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast at Besaw's. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. It was very crowded when we went but since it did happen to be a holiday and we did not have reservations, a 20 minute wait was worth it. This place is pretty small but that adds to the charm and coziness of many of Portland's non-chain diners. I saw a mix match of every kind. Parents with kids, love-struck couples, the well seasoned of life, all plunked down at the bar and little round tables, conversations abuzz. We would eat out here again in a heartbeat.”

• The atmosphere was chaotic, the wait staff obnoxious and the food inedible.

“The worst food I have ever attempted to eat. Both entrees were returned to the kitchen because they were inedible, and I have never returned food in my life. The ceasar salad was a pile of lettuce with stale bread crotons and mayo for dressing! The ribs came on blank white plate with nothing else on it and looked like beef jerky wrapped bones. I wouldn't go back.”

• Inside the mall.

“Not bad for in the mall. Not the usual food court type of place. You sit inside it, it is decorated like a 50's diner. Good burgers, fries and shakes. The food may not be fantastic, but it will not disappoint you. Neatly presented, and reasonably quick service. Some of the wait staff is really quite good. Super professional and make you feel like you are important to them.”

• Food, service, and conversation amongst the employees.

“My family stopped in at Ichabod's Restaurant one evening and though the service was okay, it was the conversations that they were having with one another. We just wanted to have an enjoyable meal without the vulgar conversations and flirting that was going on. It is something I definitely did not want my kids to hear or see. I got a French dip that was soggy and my husband got chicken fried steak that was burnt. We do not recommend this restaurant. I also felt like the servers were inappropriately dressed. Needless to say we got out of their asap.”

• I love their service and food. And they are located at a perfect location for us.

“I have never had a problem with any food we have had there always good. The lady that reported frozen meat patty's served to her. Never happens there all fresh served. My husband and and I go there. all my grown kids and grand kids too. We are senior citizens and if we had a complaint we would say so. signed very satisfied customer.”

“I have been going to Moes for about ten years, every time we go to Lincoln City thats the first place we go. I think the food is great. Most of the time the people are really nice except the last time I went there was one bad worker who had a bad attitude and would just pass up people who needed things, but other than that, I love Moes.”

• It's noisy.

“If you like omelette's and red potatoes instead of shredded hash browns for breakfast, Biscuits is a good place to go. Prices have significantly increased lately, and I notice the dining room isn't as full, but the staff is always friendly and try to anticipate your needs (like bringing a box to take home some of that huge order of red potatoes)! Parking is a little dicey, but you can find it. They tell me they are going to go to a franchise business plan, so I do not know how that will affect the way they do business.”

• It was nice to know that you were willing to let us set up before you opened.
• Not sure, it was the fastest we've been able to get back to our meeting after lunch.

“Wow, great job! Thank you for allowing us to use your back room for a department meeting. So many times we have to do trade offs when we look to have our meetings and you provided not only that, but a great lunch that satisfied everyones diet, and you have wireless too! Keep up the great job, oh thank you for sending me that picture, what a good memory that's going to be.”

“I do not live in Clatskanie now, but grew up there and go there very often. I have always loved Fultano's pizza and they also have so many other things to choose from that you should be able to find something you like to eat. My son lives in Medford or and he says they do not have any pizza down there as good as they do up here! He even takes some there when he visits here just to show them all what he is talking about!”

“I have been here twice. The pizza was not only expensive and took 40 minutes to get but it had to be the worst pizza I had ever tasted. Cardboard would have tasted better. The salad bar was okay but not good enough to overshadow the bad pizza.”

• Can't think of anything, but if you are looking for a fancy dress up place this probably isn't it.

“We have eaten there two times now - nothing fancy but always outstandingly delicious! These are the best oysters I have eaten anywhere. The oyster burger, as well as the grilled oysters, are to die for.”

“I've been to the new Caruso's twice now and the food is phenomenal. The atmosphere isn't as romantic as the old location. This location is very noisy and not private. The service is average at best because of the amount of tables each waiter/waitress has to tend to. It took a long time to get us our food and my food was cold. But when they brought the food back after I returned it, it was perfect. The food is pricey.”

“I was recently in Joseph, on a snowmobile 5 day snowmobile trip. We were catered to like royalty, and the atmosphere was excellent. The staff made us feel like we owned the place. The food was great, and the bar was as much fun as I have had anywhere.”
