• Could use a little updating.

“This is absolutely the best Chinese Restaurant we have ever been to. We always eat here when we want Chinese. The WonTon soup is the best. We had our favorites, Sweet & Sour Chicken or Chicken Sumgum Chow Mein with WonTon soup, pork fried rice and egg roll -- yummy. I brought an out-of-town friend here once, she has lived all over the United States, and she said the food was the best she had ever had. We are going to bring some other out-of-town friends here soon. I recommend this restaurant to everyone who wants good, reasonably priced Chinese food.”

“It's a shame they went out of business. They had the best tasting burgers and big fries at a cheap price. I really miss the Mushroom Swiss King Combo. I consider the restaurant as one of Fremont's major land mark for good food and service at a very reasonable price. I thought that prices on their products were a lot cheaper than McDonald's Burger King and Wendy's.”

“This restaurant is great! The food is delicious and affordable! Their variety in steaks is superb. There is something for the whole family. The portions are large and worth the money. The staff is great! The hostesses are always very friendly and welcoming. Every server we've had in this restaurant has been very nice and have provided excellent service. We asked how quickly we could get in and out, being in a rush. you get what you ask for! Our food was out in record time, leaving just enough time to enjoy the atmosphere of the restaurant and have a good time. You've got to try this place! A great place to gather with friends! Haven't been disappointed yet!”

• I got what ordered, and then some!
• Made me very sick.

“Saw reviews on line, which were largely positive, called in a take-out order. Located in a strip mall, completely empty at 6:30 PM, dinner hour -- should have trusted my instincts and left. Food was OK, Tai tea was great. At about 5 AM, I got the call that cannot be ignored and rushed to the bathroom, repeating the process every hour on the hour.”

“I love Subways - just not this one! It is terrible and dirty. The staff is rude, they run out of bread, the food has bugs in it, and the cashiers can't count! Go up the hill to the Wards Corner location, or even better - across the street to Penn Station!”

“I visited Gary's Diner of Clyde, Ohio while on a 2005, 6-week cross-country road trip. Within those 6 weeks I ate some incredible food at wonderful restaurants. But Gary's is honestly the only one I remember by name. Gary's is a "DINER" and when choosing Gary's you should expect as much. We chose Gary's for breakfast when in the mood for a greasy spoon meal. Gary's was the perfect spot. Gary's was very clean. The owner Gary was very personable (he even gave my 6 year old daughter a "Gary's Diner" t-shirt) and after hearing our story and what we were looking for suggested his Garbage Omelet. It was perfect. It has been four years but I would still suggest Gary's to anyone looking for a true diner experience.”

“I ordered a cheeseburger for my son; however, the clerk told me that they only have double cheeseburgers. I found out that was not true looking on the web-site. I did not get a receipt. I know times are hard; but cheating people out of money is not a good business practice! My family has had hard times this year too!”

“I went to Carvers today to celebrate winning the lottery. It was the most horrible experience I have had at a steak house. We were seated next to the kitchen. The noise was unbearable. The service was horrible. They have 2 different dining rooms, the back room, where I was in was a good 10 degrees colder than the main room. As for the food, I had the tomato soup which was more of a vegetable soup, the prime rib was very bland and my baked potatoes tasted like it was microwave. I will never go back. For price the food should of at least had some flavor.”

“Food tasted okay but was cold due our very poor server. We waited 10 minutes (so the food was cold by the time we ate) for her to come back to our table. She was at the table next to us but never looked back. My wife's Pork Tenderloin that she ordered with tomato, lettuce, a pickle spear and mayo on the side, came with none of the above. When our waitress brought the condiments back she brought onion instead of pickle. The wings I ordered were okay, meaty but I couldn't/wouldn't start eating because I had no water and an empty beer. When she brought me a beer it was a different brand than the one I ordered. We drove from Centerville to try this place, I heard the wings were great. Maybe we caught them on a bad night. No second chance from us, too many places to eat to take a chance.”

• The food arrived so hot, I had to wait for it to cool.

“When was the last time you walked into a restaurant, that sparked your curiosity, and made your taste buds water. You've seated yourself, at one of the unique tables. When your waitress comes your way to introduce herself, handing you a very simple menu, yet varied in what it has to offer. The chicken noodle soup is available every day, along with another that is also homemade. She is already has your beverage, you place your order. Now your curiosity has gotten the best of you, you take a stroll about to see all the sporadic delights. You did not expect to find this treasure that will enhances your decor, a must have with a reasonable price tag. Lunch is served, it was everything you expected. Unfortunately, you'll have to pass on the tray full of deserts made right here in the kitchen. With these prices you can afford to bring the whole family back for dinner, an each of you can enjoy a different homemade desert, after another wonderful meal. As you step out, you wonder how they fit so much goodness on the North side of the Square in Andover, Ohio.”

“This by far is the best Chinese restaurant that I have ever eaten at. The staff is friendly and the food was superb. I stop by at least once or twice a week and I have never had a bad meal here. The food always taste fresh and I can see the dedication the staff put into making their customers feel welcome and have a great dining experience. I love going to this restaurant because it has a relaxed atmosphere and you truly feel at home. It is like going over to grandma's house for dinner!”

• Food wonderful and plenty, and service was superb.
• Not open Monday's. No credit cards. No Schnitzen in summertime.

“I live in Youngstown, so the place must be great, if I drive all the way into Kent to eat there. The food is magnificent, and abundant. I have enjoyed the fish, the German cuisine. The Porter hoses, and prime rib (they rate a 14 out of 10 for that!) Their Yeager potatoes, are always our choice! True enough the decor is out dated, and it is an old, remodeled Red Barn (for all of us who remembers Red Barn restaurants), but the food and service is beyond compare! For business travelers, not so convenient not on the beaten path but well worth the effort to divert from that path!”

“My wife and I have been regular customers there for five years and have never experienced a bad meal. In our opinion, they offer the best Chinese food in this. Their Hunan sauces are outstanding (try the Hunam Shrimp) and the Chinese Steak and Mongolian Beef are outstanding. The staff is always friendly and service is always excellent. We've never had a bad meal there.”

“My wife and I travel 45 minutes at least twice a month to eat perch at the Jolly Roger. My wife is a great cook, but we've never had perch as good as the perch at the Jolly Roger. I really shouldn't be passing the word around since the waiting line Saturday was almost out the door and now more people will be heading there to eat!”

• Food was terrible. Owner oblivious to customers. Filthy cups and utensils. I could go on.

“I am sure the restaurant is in violation of some health codes. I would not allow my dog to eat this food. It was horrible. The waitress was nice, however, no amount of hospitality could overshadow the horrible food and unkept decor. I have no idea as to how they are staying in business in downtown Columbus, OH. I heard it was a lunch favorite. However, the ladies restroom resembles and outhouse with no running water.”

“The Old Homestead was now under new ownership. The food was better than ever. A recent meal that we had, began with three extraordinary appetizers that showed off the different directions. Kobe Sliders, Bruschetta and Mozzarella Fritta. The next course was another homage to Italian-American Dining, Chicken Marsala in the most wonderful broth you could imagine, accompanied with slices of mushrooms and a tender breast of chicken. It was, simply, one of the best things I have ever eaten. Then the waiter proudly showed off an entire Dessert Menu. An excellent finish to a culinary extravaganza. It was a meal that demonstrated a chef at the height of his power. But what impressed me even more than the food was the new maturity of service in the restaurant. The new Homestead was about, bringing bread almost before you want it and keeping your glasses filled with water.”

• The ambiance was cozy and friendly. The food was excellent and cheap.
• Nothing!

“We eat breakfast there every weekend. I also get to eat there during the week sometimes. The food was excellent, the waitresses was the best and there was a friendly family feel about the whole place. They can poach eggs, which most restaurants can't do well. Everything was homemade and there was good homemade chicken soup at all times. I have traveled a lot and the ambiance of Ari's was as terrific as the food.”

• High quality, fresh food, well prepared and presented.
• Pricey, but not unreasonable for what you get.

“We have dined with them several times and the food has always been very good -- fresh, well prepared, reasonable portions, and delicious. The Pecan Crusted Salmon is a favorite and so is the veal. but the pasta dishes and the other meat dishes have been consistently good, too. Appetizers, fresh salads, desserts, all have been good. They have some unusual dishes, too. like blackened meatloaf. The wine selections are decent, as is the pricing (for restaurants). Good beer selection. Service is casual, not elegant, but competent and attentive as expected. We like the atmosphere for special occasions, and it is good for business meals, and traveling vendors have expressed their admiration for it. Not too noisy, but not so quiet everyone can overhear.”

“I have never been so rudely treated in my life when my burger came out raw, the cook yelled throughout the dinner about how nothing was wrong. I comment I could handle, but a 1-1/2 minute wait was too much. My wife and I left without finishing the meal, or paying. Previously, we had frequented the diner about 2-3 time a month. Now I will tell what happened to all I know some places do not deserve to be in business. Maybe the Cook would be better suited in a janitorial career.”

“I travel to Dayton often for work, and I always stop by Subby's for a bite to eat. They are in a shopping center right near the Dayton airport. Super Subby's has great subs, especially the Italian and tuna. They prepare everything quickly, and I count on them when I want something yummy in a flash. I really love the chili and the fried cheese sticks and mushrooms.”

“I had a worst experience with Avalanche Pizza in Athens OH. We were pure vegetarian (originally from India) and never ate any sort of meat. We heard Avalanche Pizza was a good place for vegetarians as they seem to have 2 or 3 different vegetarian pizzas in their menu. We ordered one of their vegetarian pizza and made sure he got my order correct. When we got the pizza, I was shocked to see a piece of red meat in the pizza. When I called them to let them know, he was pretending as if he did not know what I was talking about and also sounded very rude and indirectly telling me I was just making up! I immediately drove there with their pizza and the meat piece I found and showed them to the manager. But manager did not want to take any responsibility and he was sort of intimidating me! It was my last visit to their place!”

“My husband and I have eaten here a couple of times. My husband had a large group of out-of-town colleagues eat here. We like the food and it seems authentic, I have not been out of the states. One of the colleagues said his family is from Europe and the food was like being over there. The service was friendly.”
