“Great service - there is a waitress there who always gives service with a smile!”
Ranch House Supper Club
“From out of town. Never been to Walker before. We stopped there to eat, did not know that reservations are recommended. We got snubbed when we didn't have reservations. There were 6 of us. We ordered our food, about 5 minutes later our waitress came back and said they were all out of baked potatoes and mashed. We could have French fries, rice or veggies. About half way through our meal, I over heard other people ordering potatoes and many waitresses serving their costumers baked and mashed. How would we know they prefer reservations if we aren't from the area. They lied to us and told us they were out of something, but continued to serve others the same item.”
Lowell Inn Restaurant
“I joined a group for brunch on 2-14-10. We ate in the garden room. I would not recommend the brunch to anyone. The food choice was small, the food was not hot, the scrambled eggs were dense and dry. The first batch of potatoes I tasted was OK, the next batch tasted different and had a bad aftertaste. It was definitely not worth the money!”
Lord Fletcher's Of The Lake
“Loved Fletchers! Only complaint is I wish they had some of their fine dining food (served upstairs) available on the wharf in the summer. They seem to have figured it out in the winter and have a great menu served downstairs in the casual bar (Grandaddy's) but still only offer typical bar type food outside in summer. However, fine dining is as good as it gets in this market. Great steaks, fresh seafood and awesome sides. One of my most frequently visited restaurants. Also, a wonderful Sunday brunch!”
Little Melvins On The Lake
“Bucket list for sure. This is a place you go with your best friends for good food, great atmosphere, nice staff and memories to last a life time.”
Boondocks Cafe
“Food and service were good, but I stopped eating there due to getting my beverage in a glass with lipstick on it. Need to do a better job with their dishes. Not very appetizing, otherwise it's a good place.”
Nick's Pizza Palace
“This was our first time at Nick's - we will be back! I wish they delivered to Medford!”
Little Melvins On The Lake
“One of the best places to have great food, drinks and fun. Try the pizza when you go. Great appetizers too. Love going to hear the music or meeting with family and friends. Not many places like this one near where we live. A real gem.”
Davids Old Towne Eatery
“I had eaten here before and thought it was good. I had heard that they closed down it last year but now are open again. But the restaurant was empty and I was surprised to find they have a bar but can't sell alcohol.”
Evergreen Eating Emporium
“My family and I went there a few days ago. The service was not very good and the food was undercooked. We had 2 chicken orders where the chicken was not fully cooked, 2 undercooked steaks and 1 undercooked Pork chop. This was my first time eating there and also my last time. Also the prices where to high for what we got.”
22nd Avenue Station
“Good dancers, lots of friendly customers.”
George's Fine Steaks & Spirits
“George's steak house and fine spirits are ok. I have eaten there many times and initially they provided really good food. As the popularity of the place has increased, the food and portions have decreased. The service has always been good. Many people who I know haven't felt well the evening after eating at George's. I am not sure if it's the seasoning or the marination of the meat. We've all had a meal that sticks with you the night after eating it and the next morning. I'd recommend going to the Kaiserhoff about 50 down Minnesota street. It's reliable and you won't regret eating there a couple hours after you meal. If your looking for a family sports bar that serves great food, head across the street to the Lamplighter.”
Subway
“Sandwiches were to sloppy. Very soggy lettuce. I did not realize they gave food away. Employees talk too much and don't listen to customers' orders. Did not heat my sandwich. Very poor service. You need something else to replace these poor subways. Smashed bread wow.”
Benchwarmer Bob's Sports Cafe
“Its a great place. Only problem I couldn't notice but the place is freaking haunted. I believe to have seen an Indian chiefs shadow behind me when I was washing my hands and I also smelt sage in the air. I didn't know if thats what kind of incense they where or what, but the presence of that place is bad other than that the food is terrific and the staff is just wonderful.”
Cheap Charlies
“AWESOME! Loved this place forever. You have to go. Food is great and so is the service.”
Black Cat Sports Bar & Grill
“The worst place there is in Thief river falls.”
Woody'S On Main
“The food is way too salty. They are now using new breading on mushrooms and onion rings. Also the drinks are very weak. Hit up the Chocho down the road if you want good food and drinks.”
Hard Times Cafe Inc
“Nasty bathroom, bunch of jerks, don't know why their espresso is so poorly extracted, must be fixed, this restaurant is an abomination to Minneapolis. They parade themselves as worker owned and to be honest, I think that is great, however they are excellent at giving co-ops a bad name. Perhaps a more successful co-op will find its roots in the twin cities. Just look at north country co-op. The neighborhood won't be around much longer anyway, good riddance. Starbucks won't you please just make some Vegan offerings and kick the curb to the street.”
Mickey's Diner
“Went here some time ago. Its famous for being in the movie Mighty Ducks if my memory serves me correct. The ventilation is bad, its extremely tiny, there was garbage napkins and forks etc. on the floor underneath are table, tables were dirty. The list goes on. The staff was friendly.”
Culvers Restaurant
“The Culvers in Owatonna is very nice. It's staff is very friendly and try to get your food as fast as possible. The food is not your typical fast food tasting food. It taste like a burger from a real sit down restaurant. It was very clean and you can tell the employees enjoy their jobs.”
Otter Supper Club
“The restaurant and bar are small town comfortable - resort type atmosphere. The rustic furniture in the bar and the hotel makes one feel like they are in a lodge setting. The staff is friendly and enjoy meeting the vacationers. The bands every weekend are fun. So one can dance the night away, partake in a few cocktails and room all under one roof. Again seasonal the summer is crazy the winter is cozy. Great food but a bit expensive ask for the bar menu!”
Applebee's International, Inc.
“NA.”
Charlie's Cafe
“Classic small town restaurant with very fair prices for times we live in. I had breakfast there about 7:30 in the morning. Very friendly waitress and quick ordering and service. I'll be stopping there again. The lemon margin pie looked awesome sitting on the counter, I hope I'm there during lunch so I can try a piece.”
Maries Casual Dining
“I had the weekday lunch buffet. The salad bar was well stocked with a variety of toppings. The salads and soup appeared homemade, excellent! I also enjoyed the spaghetti, shrimp, fried chicken & fried fish. Looking for a quick inexpensive lunch, it's the place to be.”
Subway
“The sandwiches at this particular Subway are very bad. I have tried it twice. They must use some sort of cleaning chemical that remains and is contacted by the food. As a result, it has a taste that you know isn't quite right while your eating it. But worst of all, after about 1 hour your anus will explode with the force of all nuclear weapons that have ever been detonated on Planet Earth. Except for the fact that it is a quick and easy way to paint your bathroom ceiling off brown, It's horrible. I would avoid at all costs.”
Timber Jack Smokehouse & Saloon Inc
“Had a group of 24 which they knew we were coming days before that and it took 1 hour and 40 minutes to get the last person served their food. As we were leaving someone else was asking if they were going to get there food that night.”
Cossetta's
“Every time that I am in my home state of Minnesota, I go out of my way to go to Cosetta's. The pizza is the best I've ever had and spoils me for anywhere else. The deli side is authentic and impressed my chef girlfriend. (She even had my Pop ship me some pies on ice here to Vermont for my birthday, amazing)One of few places that I rave about. Just unbelievable pizza.”
Dayton Bar & Grill
“The Dayton bar does have a credit/debit card machine for convenience along with a change machine for the pool players. Has an excellent happy hour from 4-6, Monday thru Friday and noon till 2 on Saturday and Sunday. Excellent food specials throughout the week. The burgers are the best - fresh 1/2 lbs patties. The staff is excellent in making you feel welcomed - one of those places you won't get sideways stares when you walk in for the first time. If you know what I mean. They also have great music selection. I love Dayton bar!”
Delano Bowling Center Inc
“Shooters Bar and Grill is attached to the bowling center. Every time I have been there, the food was excellent. The entire place is very clean. They have a huge deck with tables and umbrellas which is nice for cocktails and smokers. On Saturday evenings from fall thru winter there are a variety of bands that play. We have so much fun whenever we go there.”
Rothsay Truckstop & Cafe
“The food is home-cooked. Servers are friendly, even when rushed. The place is always busy, even though the small town of 500 has three restaurants. The restaurant is good for business travelers who are sick of eating mass-produced foods high in preservatives, however I would not recommend it for meeting purposes due to the fact that it is normally quite busy. It is a true cafe-style restaurant just off the interstate with a lot of truck traffic due to the incredible interstate convenience compared to other Minnesota truck stops.”
KFC
“I think KFC in wait park MN is a decent restaurant. It has a pretty cheap buffet for around 8 bucks. The buffet is okay, the prices for the meals are kind of expensive, but some have a decent price.”
Chocolate Moose Restaurant Co
“I have been a server at the Chocolate Moose for the past 5 years. I love my job almost everyday. I'm the only male server at the restaurant and I wouldn't have it any other way. The food is always great, the service better be good, and I love everything about the place. Huge portions, great desserts (if you have room), and cool decor. I eat at the Chocolate Moose almost everyday and I haven't had a bad meal yet!”
Bilottis Italian Village
“It was the worst food I've had in Rochester. If you want Italian, go to Victoria's. The food was dry and flavorless.”
Deer Haven Inc
“My family goes to this restaurant every summer. I have never had a bad experience. The staff has always been nothing but friendly to us and the food is always great. We love to go on Tuesdays for the ribs. They are the best! Also a big fan of the cheesy potato soup (cheese, bacon, potatoes, wild rice) It's delicious! I saw all the comment about having slow service. I do think it has taken a while to get our food at times, but it never bothers us as we are on vacation and enjoying the atmosphere as well as each other's company. It's nice to be on the lake and be in no hurry.”
Brass Lantern
“The food was so fresh and so good!”
Hobnettis Pizza
“The pizza was great. They're generous with toppings, and the sauce is yummy. My family loves Hobnetti's. The only problem seems to be that they hire teenage kids as servers and there have been several times where the server was a teenage girl who was either talking on the phone during our entire visit, or flirting with the cook, and we, the customers, were totally forgotten or neglected. Usually our need for good pizza outweighs the knowledge that we probably won't get good service. The owner seems nice, though.”
Tollys Time Out Rest & Lounge
“Food was god, nice atmosphere, and friendly service.”
Pizza Factory
“This is my favorite pizza of all time. I've been eating it since the 1970's, and it is the pizza I compare all others to. The main problem with this place is that decor is exactly the same as it was when I first went there, over 30 years ago. It's rare that I eat there, but I'll gladly drive the 20 minutes to get take out. Do yourself a favor, order a pizza, bring it home, and consume. One more thing, always order a large, this pizza is just as good the next day.”
Fishtale Grill Inc
“Not surprisingly the restaurant is decorated and setup in up at the lake style, with lots of wood and fishing gear. The menu is what one would expect from a bar and grill or sports bar with perhaps one or two more fish items. Our party had the cod sandwich which was fine, and the tuna melt which was good.”
Snappy Stop
“Snappy Stop is a drive through burger establishment. Excellent California style burgers, fries with skins, good prices and very quick service. Being that it's drive through, it's take home food or eat in the car in the winter but for spring, summer and fall, the restaurant on Broadway is right across from the park which has picnic tables. We get our meals at Snappy Stop almost every time we visit Rochester.”
Jerry Dutlers Bowl
“Although they seem to be a little under staffed, the bartender Dan was amazing. He knows every drink I could think of and was very friendly (and attractive!). Very prompt and made himself available although he was quite busy. Even if bowling isn't your think, I'd recommend going just for the bartender. Great times!”
Chocolate Moose Restaurant Co
“I am so impressed with this restaurant. The food is delicious, fresh and served attractively. The prices are amazing compared to Canada where you pay a lot more for a lot less. I can honestly say that it gets better every time we go there. I highly recommend this place to everyone.”
Saint Croix Crab House Music Cafe Inc
“I attended a rock show at the St. Croix Crab Shack and the service was comparable to a Walmart greeter. A line of four people ordering a simple beer should not require a 10 minute wait. There were two bartenders - a short blond man who seemed to jeer at men who wanted beer, and a young woman who, well, let's just say she'd make a better door-stop - or if she was buoyant, she'd look great on my yacht in place of my life saver.”
Wilkin Drink & Eatery
“The restaurant is consistently good. It is highly unlikely a person will ever experience an off night! The food is all of good quality and priced very fairly considering it's quality and size of portions. The atmosphere is pleasant and unique and it is always very clean. The staff is friendly and polite and their appearance is appealing to be serving food.”

“Great value, good food and very good prices for Grand Marais. The people are very friendly. I will definitely be back.”
Kueng Lo
“The hot and sour soup had vegetables in it and I'm not talking bean sprouts. I know how to make hot and sour and this was not it. This was caned beef consume with carrots, bell pepper, soy sauce, and a little vinegar tossed in for good measure. The Szechwan Beef was fairly tasteless. The heat was okay but it was otherwise salty and greasy. The vegetables were cut to the size of in half. No really. Add to that frozen carrots, krinkle coin cut, and bitter Spanish onions. The beef looked and tasted as if it came out of a can labeled Hormel.”

“When we entered the restaurant we were corralled to the back room for the brunch without anybody asking what we wanted. I asked if we could eat in the regular dining room, off the menu, and the Hostess reaction was to glare at me and huff while stomping to the dining room. My wife's hamburger was burned, so she let the waitress know. We asked not to have another one prepared, since we didn't have time to wait for that. When it came time to leave, the uneaten hamburger was still on the bill. I asked the manager if she would like to remove the item from my bill or have me remove it from my bill by not paying a tip. She huffed again. In short: We won't ever go back.”

“Locals go there. I've only gone there twice, but I have family in town, they go there a lot and think it's consistently good. The menu is simple but there's something for everybody there. The walleye pike sandwiches are excellent, fresh & tasty. All of the sandwiches are made with bread from the bakery a couple doors down the street. Turtle's is dark but not very noisy as bar & grill type places go. The service I've had has been just fine. The waitress we had today was a very sweet girl and competent, too. Service was speedy considering everything was freshly cooked for us.”
A & J Fish & Chicken
“I love this place I just cant get enough. I did mention that they deliver! I go there so much they know my voice when I call, my whole family too.”
Choo Choo Bar & Restaurant
“Chicken wings. Period. Get their wings! The secret formula has ruined all others for me. It's incomparable!”
