“Two for one Lobster boil on Tuesday night. Not really. They want to charge an extra $9.00 for me to share the dinner with my 3 year old son. The salmon dinner sounds good on the menu, but it comes with boxed rice pilaf (I mean the rice a roni kind). Never again. I can make rice pilaf myself.”

“While it might be a good value for the money if the food was moist, it is not because of the dried out meats. The waitress told us that the dessert was included and it wasn't. The owner wouldn't do any thing to make it up to us. The steam table had unmarked, unidentifiable dishes, the cold table was abuzz with flies and they followed us to our table every time we sat back down. They were very attentive to our drinks, though. But at 7 a pop and nothing to write home about, why wouldn't they be? Stay away at all costs.”

“It's is S. Yarmouth now, 902 root 28.I had a wonderful time there. I will definitely return. The wait staff is sweet, food delicious, especially the chicken picatta! Love the coziness!”

“Flatbread Co. is an excellent place to drop in for some of the best pizza money can buy. You won't find the normal greasy, rushed Italian pie fare here. Every flat bread pizza (they simply call them flat breads) has been delightful flavorful and never have I felt bloated and disgusted with myself after eating, like most pizzas. The Flatbreads come in some fairly familiar setups with healthy twists such as the nitrate free pepperoni, as well as some very interesting creations. If you are looking to satisfy your hunger for meat, they have a meat-packed flat bread to leave you smiling but if you are on the other side of the spectrum, they also have a vegan specific flat bread for you. I would also like to note that as someone who suffers from chronic heart burn, I found the food here to be so easy on the digestive system that I have not the usual issues that come with pizza. The ingredients from the perfect dough to the amazing Topings are all natural and the wait staff is happy to forward any requests to the chef. Don't care for onions, just ask the staff nicely and they will be more than happy to make sure your flatbread is just the way you want it. The restaurant is squeaky clean and the decor gives you plenty to look at if the people you are with are a bore or if you are by yourself. From every seat in the restaurant you have a great view of the beautiful hand - built oven as well as the area in which the chef works. The restaurant also features a well stocked bar for while you are waiting or if you simply wish to wet your lips. The only potential downside of this location involves the parking. Because it is located within a very tight part of Amesbury, parking can be sparse and you may have to get a little creative.”

“Excellent lunch! Couldn't believe the reasonable prices. Living in area with the fast food chains this is such a joy to sit in such a lovely atmosphere with the linen tablecloth and napkins, surrounded with items from the past. Will certainly be a repeat customer.”

“This was the worst I've ever encountered for a night out. We were a crew of 6 people. The menu's were limited & very confusing. The prices were sky high. The food was cold & you didn't get much on the plate. They force fed us with rolls to supplement what we were not getting for the main meal. Three of us had 1/4" depth of Lobster Bisque in my bowl, with a 1" square Pork Belly for supper. The other three had noodles & beef. Box of pasta $0.99. The funny part of this is that those who frequent here seem to be enjoying it. I'm amazed this place has flourished. If you gave us a free meal here we wouldn't come again! I've had better meals in school cafeteria. This place is a joke & the sooner people wake up to it the better. Well the joke was on us.”

“Bluefin Restaurant is a great place to find inexpensive and highly authentic Japanese cuisine. Their sushi prices are excellent, and their combo specials are a great value. My husband loves the donburi rice bowls, and my younger daughter loves the miso soup. This restaurant is amazingly tolerant of children and has a wide selection of kid-friendly foods. It's a bit crowded and tends to fill up quickly during peak times, and I'm mildly annoyed by the televisions in every dining room. But compared to the other tiny restaurants in the Porter Exchange, it's downright roomy. Conveniently near the Kotobukiya grocery and video store, a bubble tea vendor, a small bakery, and Tokai, which sells Japanese teapots, clothing, and novelty items like stuffed Totoro and Hello Kitty dolls. This is my daughters' favorite place to go out to eat.”

“This is a pub. It has pub food and pub atmosphere. For a pub the food is great and a good value. As a fine dining restaurant it would be poor. If you like a pub environment and pub food and drink this is a good place for you. If you are going to go and expect a great steak don't waste your time. Service is great for the most part.”

“Had lunch today and service was disappointing on several levels. Very slow considering the restaurant was less than half full. Issue with the food and sarcasm from the service person when trying to have the issue resolved. There are other restaurants in the area so it's unlikely I'll return to this one.”
Thanks for the valuable feedback you provided to other MYTravelGuide members. Your vote will be counted and will soon appear on the review page. Durgin-Park Inc
“First time at Durgin-Park. Perhaps bad luck first time but the food was awful with the some exception of the ribeye steak. However, they only serve it rare or medium rare. Appetizers: onion rings, chicken fingers, calamaris and baked beans a total disaster. No taste whatsoever. The peppercorn sauce for the ribeye was thin and salty. Tiny portions of sides like baked potato, French Fries and squash. Legal Seafood is a paradise compared to Durgin-Park and does not cost more. If this is one of Boston's showcases then Good Night. Only positive: our waitress was very nice and service was quick.”

“Beansprout is my favorite Chinese/Sushi restaurant. Having been born & raised here I know all the restaurants & this one is GREAT! They don't use MSG which for health conscious folks like myself is a good thing. They started serving sushi a couple years ago & it is, in my opinion, the best around. If you are a sushi lover then you definitely have to try it. Pony up to the sushi bar & you can ask the sushi chef to tailor a sushi just for your likes.”

“I love Michael Shay's. I live in Cambridge and have another home in town. I always try to get there when I am in town. The service is excellent and there is always a warm fire lit in the cold months. My companion always has the fish and chips and says they are the best. As a vegetarian, I am more limited but there is an unlimited salad bar for a little extra. Everything is fresh. I highly recommend a stop by -you won't be disappointed.”

“My girlfriend and I live in Melrose, and since we first ate at Turners we have probably gone back at least once a month. The food is always good, the service is good, and the atmosphere is nice and classy enough without being stuffy. We have eaten and like a good number of menu options; Lobster roll, clam chowder, lobster bisque (with added lobster meat!), stuffed clams, crab rangoon dip, crab cakes, stuffed shrimp etc. All were very good, especially the crab cakes which in my opinion are the best I have had! I often order the surf and turf (with either the crab cakes or the lobster pie without the crumbs) and the only complaint I could make is that the fillet is sometimes a bit overcooked (ordered med rare). As far as service is concerned, it is generally good to very good though when it gets busy the staff can be a bit inattentive but not to the point where you feel ignored (I would rather be left alone than coddled all night by a server who asks how everything is three times during the appetizers).”

“I live down the street from Heav'nly and I absolutely love it! They have a wide variety of breakfast foods and pastries and even though you can get the same types of food at other places, Heav'nly offers many different flavors that you cannot find anywhere else. Also, the quality of the food/drinks are much, much better than any other coffee place. Ever since I've started going to Heavenly they are the only place I will go to. Even though there is always a line in the morning, the employees always remain friendly and the line moves pretty quickly. I know that they currently have three stores opened- one in Methuen, one in Lawrence, and one in Haverhill so if you happen to be driving past one someday stop in and I promise you won't regret it!”

And once we had breakfast we go back for lunch great burgers wraps homemade soups sandwiches and much more. Now for dinner they are only open 3 nights which leave your mouth watering the other 4 nights. Turkey dinner prime rib haddock rib eye steak real mashed potato.”

“Have been enjoying this restaurant almost weekly since discovering it about a year ago. All the staff are exceptionally friendly and inviting and truly concerned about the customer's experience. The homemade soups are superb and the daily specials are imaginative as well as always delicious. The portions are generous. Although usually no room for dessert the dessert menu is impressive.”

“We have been to the Lexington Center Three times and have found this cafe bad every time. Its close to the heart of the town so a natural spot to drop into. But don't be fooled ! The service help are lazy! The coffee poor quality and the food worst than fast food just thrown together. First visit. Hard Avocado on the sandwich. We were told the manager was not around. Second time. Warm! Week coffee. We sue the staff, 20 minutes we'll have fresh coffee, and this was in the middle of the day with no one around. Third time. Quech. Warm and rubbery.”

“We moved to the area several months ago and have been waiting to try Royal Dynasty. We ordered a PuPu platter, rice, and crab rangoon. The food was some of the worst Chinese I have ever had. The food was cold, soggy, and the beef teriyaki was incredibly dry. I would never waste my money again!”

“A little off the beaten path and a little quirky in appearance and management style, but a massively good value for couples or families if you happen to be passing by. They serve the biggest, tastiest steaks anywhere for very short money. Known mostly as a neighborhood restaurant and kept somewhat secret by the highly appreciative locals. It is simply the best value in a dinner restaurant within 20 miles in any direction.”

“Both locations are awful, The owner swears, yells and screams at employees and customers alike. Both locations are extremely loud, not a place for family dining, especially for kids. Parking in Norton is a nightmare not to mention a hazard.”

“We were at the restaurant following the electric outages. The hostess was wonderful. Our assigned waitress was perfect. We were 2 adults and 3 children. The waitress treated the children ages 3 to 13 great. The food brought to all was wonderful. The Capellilini's special with shrimp, artichoke hearts, tomato, mushrooms and black olives served with a light wine sauce was extremely tasty. The children's meals were enjoyed. Highly recommend this restaurant.”

“This restaurant was touted as the best in town by our B&B. My wife & I visited on a Friday night during off-season and the experience was very average at best. I ordered a cup of pasta fagioli soup (a special) and it was so laden with spices that I couldn't eat it - the waiter took it away virtually untouched - asking only if I was done with it and, of course, kept it on the tab. Salads & wine were very good. The Steak Oscar was excellent, but the risotto special with shrimp & tips was mediocre at best. Soggy rice and small, ordinary shrimp - the steak tips in the dish were good, but overall, just very average as a dish. Although the waiter looked more like an out of work fisherman with an apron, the service was good (other than the soup issue). Overall, the atmosphere was okay, but not special enough to justify the highest prices in town. I won't be back. I had a better lunch the following day at the Squire (for more than 1/2 the price).”

“After hearing wonderful reviews we decided to try. Upon being seated in the dining room we realized that the recent renovations didn't seem to be done or at least some of them were skipped, the ceiling was leaking from the rain and was stained, the smell of mold was evident. The waitress explained that due to the recent heavy rain they were having problems with leaks in the roof. She was very helpful and pleasant in offering suggestions on the food. We ordered our drinks which were delivered very quickly along with warm bread and olives. Our food was very undercooked, steak was rare at best and was ordered med. She quickly brought the steak back to have cooked more. The bar crowd was loud and yelling and could be heard in the dining room. Waitress offered to shut the door which helped a little. After dinner we decided to go see what all the noise was coming from the bar. It was apparently just the neighborhood drunks as the bartender stated. We decided to have a drink and check out the crowd, bad idea. We left shortly after before finishing our drinks, the drunks were too loud and drunk some couldn't walk let alone talk and the bartender could not stop complaining about how much she could not stand the waitress that was working. We could not understand as the waitress seemed very pleasant and upbeat even talking about how excited she was about her upcoming wedding. Overall, the food was not that great but pricey and the crowd of locals so drunk we were beginning to wonder if the bartender had been drinking since she was as loud as the local drunks. At the end of our visit we once again thanked the waitress for a job well done under the circumstances and advised her to get a better job were she would be appreciated. She was truly the gem in this disastrous adventure.”

“It started off with nice fresh bread, emphasis on fresh. But downhill from there. The salads were ridiculously drenched in dressing (how to ruin a Caesar salad). The chicken parmesan can be bought better in the frozen food case and the pesto sauce I imagined to be light in oil was a greenish paste. We stopped at Tecce's for old times sake but sadly the servings are stuck in time and we won't make that mistake again. Too bad, because the wait staff was genuinely friendly.”

“If you want cheap pizza that tastes kind of blah, this is your place. The people who work there are rude. I was actually hung up on because the manager said he had a line of people and didn't have time to answer a question about their specials. I have also buy few items and half their items were old/out of date. Try Godfrey's for a great pizza.”
