“I've heard about Mike linnings for years, but never got around to going there until this summer. My mistake! I never should have waited so long. I thought it was wonderful. I liked the atmosphere, and the food is off the charts good. It's a great place for a couple, or a big group to go and hang out for a good meal and time with friends. Anyone who doesn't like it, in my opinion is probably just a stuck up, snooty person from snotty knob, wherever. Keep up the good work Mike Linnings, I WILL be back, time and time again.”

“I stopped for lunch during a week long business trip in the area, really craving a good steak. The waitress was polite, but as she led me to the table I noticed the floor was dirty with a film of grease. After sitting down I smelled sewer, and could see the bathroom door from where I was sitting. The table wasn't clean, the walls had food splatters from years of not cleaning, and when I opened the menu it had dried food, crumbs, and looked like it has never been cleaned. The sewer smell persisted, and when the waitress came back to my table I told her as politely as possible about the smell and told her I lost my appetite and couldn't muster any desire to place an order. If the standard for cleanliness in the customer areas were that bad, I can't imagine what the kitchen, walk-in coolers, and ice machines must look like. I don't recommend it. If I had the phone number and the time, I would have called the health department, who obviously haven't visited the location in a long time.”

“I stop in once a week, sometimes twice. It's just different from most places. Food is always fresh, the people make you feel like they want you there unlike most places I buy the Mexican dinner, it hits the spot, it's a pearl in a shell.”

“This is one of my favorites in the Paducah area. The ribs are superb and all other entrees are top notch. Unlimited peanuts with floor. Not romantic, but overall nice place. Good selection of spirits and draft beers. All at typical prices. The only drawback is the wait after 6 PM, but this can be avoided by taking advantage of call ahead seating. But don't do it if you like peanuts and good beer.”

“When I first moved here, all I would hear was Ferrell's was the spot. Well I found out for myself, how wrong they really were. Because I personally think Ferrell's is horrible, and I say this because the place itself is dirty to the point where I didn't even want to sit down and eat. I was so ready to take my food and leave, it was ridiculous. Then I had to deal with the aroma of over powering onions in the mist of a closet sized restaurant that has no ventilation what so ever. So, while you're waiting for your food, your eyes are sweltering away and I'm quit sure some people were crying, that's just how bad it really is.”

“I had read about this restaurant in the Lexington Herald Leader. I was very disappointed with the food. Prices are high for this type of restaurant. The fried foods are swimming in grease and the salad and fried corn bread were also disappointing. Portions are also very small for the prices. Service was fast and friendly. I don't plan on returning.”

• Way Chili was poor. Service was poor. Table was poorly cleaned.

“Wife and I went to Dayton after hearing of the name change of Dayton chili on television. Table in booth was not wiped thoroughly clean. We ordered two four way chilis it was 10 o'clock took every bit of 15 minutes to get our order. Restaurant was by no means crowded. The chili was not hot and the spaghetti was Luke warm. The onions were not diced properly (some were chunks). The 4 way was 2 out of 10 in our opinion. We got tired of waiting for the waitress to bring our check. (She was outside in front talking to a gentleman. Paid to the cashier, and decided not to return again.”

“We ate there our first time Saturday night, did not have reservations but were seated within 10 minutes. Staff was very friendly and our server was excellent! We had a party of 4 and each of us had a different entree. The food was wonderful. We will certainly eat there again in August for our anniversary and plan on taking our son & his family there also to enjoy the food and the fun atmosphere of the restaurant and the Paducah riverfront on a Saturday night.”

• Does have games to keep the kids busy.
• Hard on your wallet because of the games.

“I have been there on several occasions for kids birthday parties. Their buffet bar is always out or low on food and they are extremely slow to refill it if at all. I personally don't like the pizza but its always gone on the buffet so someone likes it. I personally cringe when I hear the birthday party is at Mr. Gatti's. But the kids love the place.”

“I can easily say this was one of the two worst restaurant experiences I've had in 5 years, the other being in Santa Fe New Mexico. On entering the foyer, you were greeted with a pile of dirty dishes in the foyer left of the door. The windows were dirty, including bird poop on ours. The window sill was covered in crumbs. There was a spider web directly over my wife's head. They do not have a wine list. After a long wait, we were brought four bottles of wine to pick from. The first wine glasses were received were tiny, seemingly for chocolate mousse and they were dirty. We sent them back and despite appropriate wine glasses being on the other tables, we didn't get any. The chicken roll was overcooked and I only ate half of it. The salad served on plates was too small and only 2 dressings were available. All around us, tables were left with dirty dishes and one table was even served their dirt before their dirty dishes were cleared. The menu, which was leather enclosing a sheet of paper, was stained. We tipped our waitress well, because she tried to serve. We were offered free desserts, but just wanted to leave. This kitchen was badly run. And the overall impression when you enter the restaurant, from floors that needed sanding years ago, to sad tired furniture, gives a feeling that there was so much dirt you wouldn't want to see what goes on in the kitchen. This time, we truly never will go back and cannot recommend this restaurant.”

“Most every time I've ordered from this place, I have failed to receive it correctly. From wrongfully dressing sandwiches to neglecting to put fries in the bag when ordering a combo, they somehow repeatedly do it wrong! It's fast food people! It only takes a little bit of thought to get it right! How sad it is that this chain's reputation as a decent establishment be tainted by this location.”

“I was not impressed. The portions were extremely small and the price was over the top for a lunch special. A small bowl of Chicken & dumplings, A small bowl of greens, mac & cheese and potato salad, 1 biscuit and an Ice Tea for $11.00. The food was so, so. The service was friendly. I'd give it a 4 out of 10 and I won't go back. I can eat at KFC, the food is as good and the buffet.”

“Although the menu and hours are very limited, it's a great place for a fresh and unique lunch with excellent service. Most often many of the 40 seats are filled. Menu carries about ten salad or sandwich entrees with a daily special hot dish and salad bar. The chicken salad dishes are excellent! It is painted a bright white inside, very clean and open feeling. The next time I'm Paducah I will definitely plan my itinerary so as to hit the 11-2 weekday time slot here.”

“Don't go to this restaurant if you need handicapped accessibility. My son is in a wheelchair, we were directed to this establishment we walked all the way there, and then found there were steps to go down to get into the restaurant. He waited outside while I went in, and stood waiting for someone to acknowledge me, so I could ask if we could get in or not. When someone finally did let me ask, I was directed (not shown)to go down the side of the building past one door to some other door. We started to do this, and could not find the side door, not could we get any further because the whole sidewalk was blocked with several boxes and garbage cans. Shame on this restaurant Thought we were in 2000's not the 1970's when we don't make accommodations for the handicapped!”

• I didn't like anything about this disgusting place. Even the waitress admitted it was a lot of hype.
• Save your money!

It's just water, salt, butter and water and you add the grits! This place is not worth the trouble of finding a parking spot.”

• Beautiful decor.
• All sorts of things, but I think service takes the cake.

“Upon arriving at Rumors, my group and I were impressed with the decor; when we saw a sign stating there was karaoke going on, I found myself thinking, "Yeah, this is probably hip. "I was mistaken. My group and I walked in, were required to seat ourselves, and then waited 20+ minutes for service while our waiter enjoyed a leisurely meal. Mind you, there were about five other people in the (deserted) restaurant and we had come at a reasonable dinner hour. While we waited, we had ample time to peruse the menu which included many overpriced entries and appetizers. So we walked away.”

“At alfalfa you will always receive a smile and some good, home-made food. nothing comes pre-packaged. It has an eclectic menu that anyone can find something they like. brunch is a little crazy, you will probably have to wait to be seated, but the cinnamon swirl French toast is well worth the wait. Whether you're a vegetarian, vegan, or carnivore, you will find something good!”

“The temp in the place was freezing cold we had to eat with our heavy jackets on the salad bar was just terrible after our food was brought to the table we never saw our waitress again I like pizza hut very much that is why we stopped there never again in Campellsville, it was the worst dinning experience in my life by far.”

• I'm not a smoker, so the cigarette smoke does bother me. However, the food is so good I overlook it!

“I've been going to Charlie's since I was a young girl (over 30 years ago) growing up in KY. Al of the food at Charlie's is excellent - steaks, burgers, chicken, etc. but of course, the steaks are top-notch. I even get cravings for their salad - YUM! Now that I live in the Nashville-area, we still meet friends and family at Charlie's for special occasions, and enjoy introducing a whole new generation of our family to the great food at Charlie's. It opens at 4:00 pm, so get in line. If you're not there at 4:00, you'll have to wait a while to get in, but it's well worth the wait.”

“Love their food and prices but had problems with b-day parties. The cake was frozen. My sister had to go buy candles and we set the tables up our selfs. No one was there to work the party. A parent that was there had had her daughters b-day there a couple month prior and she said nothing was ready for hers either.”
