A thin, perfectly cracking and melt-in-your mouth crust, delicious gooey Cheese, and one of the most unique blend of spices on any pizza around. It's by far my favorite. • No credit cards or checks hit the ATM before going.

“I had preconceived notions that we would be getting a big bowl of spaghetti and sauce. I was wrong. The toasted ravioli is the best I have ever had. The pork chops were seasoned and moist. The antipasto and bread were wonderful. The sauce on the ravioli had a slight sweet taste, while Josie Sauce was a garlic lovers delight. I am considering making the 2.5 hour drive from KC just to let the rest of my family experience it. Hit the ATM before going. No cards or checks accepted and no bank in Scammon.”

“I say, if you are hungry for pizza, this is the place to go. The service is a little over average. The ambiance could use some cleanup. There are things for kids to do while waiting. The pizza is always consistent. Overall, if you have coupons or other deals, this place is well worth it. If you don't have coupons, then it can be a little pricey.”

• Great food, great price, atmosphere, and accepts drivers payback credits!
• Not bad but average serving, time is 30 minutes or so, Booth plexiglass rattles on little movements.

“I have been to Grandma Max's many times, and probably 8 at this location. The menu is very flexible and includes breakfast, SW food, Italian, Steaks, Seafood and many sandwiches and a all you can eat buffet. I have personally ate here 2 days in a row (I live in a truck) I have been greeted promptly and served drinks promptly. I recommend the Omaha steaks! They also offer a 4lb cheeseburger with a challenge and prizes. Every menu item I have had has been very very good. The deserts are also excellent being inside reminds you of a cozy mid west atmosphere and is well decorated. The server came to check on me very often and was prompt at bringing the check to the table. They also have a few TV's sharing the news scattered throughout and are viewable from basically everywhere. I noticed when orders are ready, the servers have a vibrating pager so you do not hear bells or shouting for pickup (since it's crucial to hear the news for us who don't have time in a day to watch it unless we are eating). Coming to a Bosselman's/Grandma Max's is the highlight of my west of the Mississippi trips! In the last 48 Hours I have had 12 cheese ticks good price armers Omelet, Enchilada Dinner,12 Oz Top Sirloin Dinner, and chocolate creme pie. All priced well and delicious!”

“Great venue for bands and dancing but entirely too smoky. Left there and felt like I had smoked an entire pack of cigarettes myself the next morning! Not good for allergy/asthmas sufferers. Really sad because it is a great place for bands and dancing. A little too loud! Definitely not a place for family and/or children.”

“Not exactly romantic (it's a steakhouse) so-so for travelers (there will be a wait), but the food is very very, very good. I always get the tenderloin wherever I order steak and this was one of my best. Of course there is a wait because, I repeat, it is very, very, very good.”

• Can be a fun and entertaining family outing or a romantic meal for a couple.
• I honestly don't think I have a negative.

“We have been to a few Japanese steak houses and this one tops them. The chefs that work the hibachi grills are funny and make everyone at the table feel like a family, even if you have never met anyone at the table. It's a great environment and my kids love it when they make the grill go up in huge flames. The service is fantastic. Every time we go our glasses rarely get empty before there's a brand new one sitting next to it ready for drinking. It can be pricey, but as far as Japanese steak houses go it's fair. The only reason I don't think it's good for business travelers is that it can take a fair amount of time to get through the meal. Everything is made fresh right in front of you and it's always cooked perfectly. If you have a little bit of time I highly suggest you make a stop here. We always recommend it to friends and family.”

• Service amongst the worst in town.

“Bruff's may have the best burger in town (next to Jay's carry out), but it probably boasts the worst service. The management clearly does not pride itself on quick, friendly, mistake-free service. I have frequented Bruff's several times and nearly every time something goes wrong with our order. Problems range from waiting hours (literally) for food, forgotten food/order, long waits for refills, no service, cold food, wrong food/order, and the list goes on. Very rarely have I left Bruff's completely satisfied. The only thing that keeps me coming back to Bruff's is the atmosphere. It is the best sports bar in town by far. If the management would take a little more pride in ensuring their waiters & waitresses are properly trained, it would make Bruff's that much better. But frankly, I'm not sure they care enough. Bruff's will always have its local crowd and hotel crowds to keep it running. Disappointing because Bruff's could be so much more bottom line: If you want to catch the game & eat a decent burger, Bruff's is worth your while. If you are wanting a good dining experience look elsewhere.”

“Very friendly owners/staff. Food is some of the best Chinese food I've ever had. Best crab rangoon ever! Egg rolls are so-so but the spring rolls are delicious - made fresh. Great fried rice, never had the egg drop soup, but the hot n sour soup and won ton are yummy. Our favorite meals are sweet n sour chicken, SzeChuan chicken. Highly recommended.”

“Ever since this business moved from N. Rock the service has went down hill and the whole trendy crowd had to come in and ruin it. The place is just way to busy, and the Japanese def. know how to cook food but managing a restaurant is not their strong point. They force you into either the tiny waiting area or you can hang in the bar and drink their overpriced alcoholic beverages. I have been to the new location three times. The first time went okay. The second and third time resulted in us leaving after waiting two hours to be seated. Both times we left and went to the Scotch, where they know what service is. If you can actually get seated, the food and the show is great.”

“Traveling through Kansas, I stopped for fuel in Hays. I asked a local person for a great place to eat. Gutierrez was the recommendation and definitely did not disappoint. Incredible food and addictive chips and salsa! This place is a must go when doing the I-70 run. I even grabbed a Starbucks coffee from their coffee bar on the way out.”

“The pesto pasta was inedible - way too salty. When we sent it back, the owner came out and belittled us in front of other customers. He wouldn't take the dishes off our tab, even though we had only two bites. We left with an empty wallet, empty stomachs and a bad taste in our mouths. I would not recommend this place to anybody!”

• Our waitresss was congenial and apologetic about the long wait.
• Too much noise, food not good enough to compensate for the long wait.

“While visiting relatives in the Salina area, we took a party of four to Tucson's as it came highly recommended. Maybe it was just a bad night but we waited almost 45-minutes to be seated despite the fact that there were empty tables that would seat four people. The waitstaff was congenial but after waiting to have our order taken and then waiting again until the food arrived, none of us were in a very good mood. The food was lukewarm but the flavor was okay. The noise in the restaurant was overwhelming as we were seated beside a bar where patrons ate and hooped and hollered. Perhaps some different acoustics would be a help. I'm used to niche steakhouses in Colorado and I'm sorry to say that Tucson's just didn't measure up.”

It is a wonderful combination that keeps you coming back again and again.”

“This place has to be the best place to eat in Salina. After eating there I asked around the town for a good place to eat and not surprisingly 8 out of 10 said Tucson's. I am not kidding when I say my steak was cooked perfectly. The service was great and the manager was a gem. He said he had been there 8 years, don't see that in the restaurant business. If you are in Salina for any reason you really need to go give this place a try, you will be glad you did!”

“Beautiful restaurant, excellent service, delicious food. Reminded me of many of the restaurants, I went to when I was in Paris. Very European feel and yet not stuffy like many upscale restaurants. The wait staff was incredibly gracious and knowledgeable and the food was a delight. Great wine list also.”

• That they were closed on Sundays but I understand.

“I love The Chubby Pickle it is actually the best place in town to eat. My favorite is the chubby sub. And Janice the owner she is a great lady. If you are ever in town stop by and try their food it is awesome and don't forget to pick up your very own chubby pickle shirt I have one of my own and I have a Chubby Pickle onesie that I got for my daughter almost 7 years ago and each one of my 4 children have wore it. When ever I get back to town that is the place I stop for lunch or supper.”

• The whole experience. I was put aback.

“Being that I had not been to this restaurant in 30 yrs, I expected a little change. What I got was a lot of change and not for the good. The place had a moldy smell from water damage. The salts on the table was one big lump it did not move. My steak was disappointing it had no flavor, no life to it. The spaghetti sauce tasted as if they opened a can of sauce and put on the plate. The drink that I ordered came from a 2 liter bottle not even cold. I walked in with the memory of Savutes from my teen years, and walked out with a bad memory. Even the dessert I ordered wasn't made there, it was from a store.”

“The food was nasty and way over priced, the apple pie was from Dillon's and the lasagna tasted like it was from a frozen diner, we both ordered Dr Pepper and it came from a hot 2 litter bottle and got watered down soon after she brought it to the table. The menu said my lasagna came with bread sticks and when I didn't get them I asked the waitress and she said I don't get real bread sticks just crackers that came with my salad. Every question we asked the waitress you could tell how embarrassed she was, so even though the food was nasty we still left her a nice tip. After we both left there we both got sick and I had stomach cramps into the next day.”

• They serve burgers made the old fashioned way, not frozen wafers.
• It's tight inside (5 Booths), so if you want a seat (not in your car) get there early.

“This is the ultimate flash back to the drive-ins of old. They are a Topeka landmark and have been in business for more than a half century. They were recently featured on Food Network's "Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives" and for good reason. They still make burgers with a burger press and their Apple pies (amazing) are still made fresh every day. Don't go here if you're on a diet, but do go here if you want great burgers and rings the way that they were meant to be made, and whatever you do. Don't miss out on the apple pie!”

• There is nothing that I don't like about it.
• I don't get to go there as often as I like.

“Victory Sports Grille is the official Wichita home of Bengal Nation on NFL Sundays, and it also has excellent food for a reasonable price, great drink specials all week long, and a very friendly and approachable wait staff and management team. I would highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys any of those things, and it is a wonderful place to watch football. Oh, and it has a game room for the kids, just in case you need a few moments to reflect.”

“This is not a place to bring the family there are a lot of drunk people there it being a bar and grill. It is not a place for kids unless you like them being around a cloud of chain smokers because there is no non smoking section. The food was great but I do not know if it was worth the hassle. I tried to talk to the owner of the place I think Gary was his name and he was just as drunk as everyone else and was very rude.”

• I love the food. The service was very energetic and friendly.
• The building seemed a little older then I last remembered.

“I have lived in this area for the past 35 years. I have been eating at this Taco Tico almost daily and about 2 years ago the service became lazy, the food items became smaller, the items would be cold, I had found hair several times. I gave up on my favorite place to eat. I would go back every time I heard there was a new manager But it never got back to where it was for all those years. I believe it's finally right. The service was wonderful, the manager shook my hand and assured me that the food would be made fresh and if not he would make it his self.”
