• Excellent location. It does not get better than this.
• I did not like the bright yellow and blue stripes on the walls.

“Sir Francis Drake is a very upscale and prestigious hotel. I've always noticed it with their valet standing out front dressed in attire that appears straight from the medieval era. The hotel lobby is very luxurious and spacious. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The bar in the middle of the lobby is trendy and a fun place to have a drink. Be sure to check out the Starlight Room at the top of the hotel for a few fun drinks and impressive views.”

“I took my family to the Burger King located at 1681 W. San Bernardino Road in Covina, CA 91722 for dinner and all five of us were equally disgusted at the poor service, unkempt dining area, no ice in the dispensing machine, flat drinks (Coke, raspberry ice tea, Sprite, Nestea), and the general lack of professionalism in running a business. Informed that there isn't ice in the dispenser, we were told that they were understaffed that night! Told that the drinks were flat, the BK employee was absolutely unperturbed about it! The experience left the family resolute in not going to another Burger King restaurant ever again! No wonder it's so seriously lagging behind McDonald's and other reputable fast-food chains!”

“This is a cute little place on 2nd Street in Belmont Shore. The food is good and they have a good wine list. The prices are reasonable and usually there isn't a really long wait. The pastas are great and the soup, which they make, is really good. Nice, fresh warm bread, too.”

“We have been to Shige Sushi three times since they opened. The first two times, service was slow. Tonight we sat for an hour and a half and were served only soup, our sushi side order, and a couple of muttered apologies. We finally walked out. The older waitress appears to call the shots and from many reviews on other sites, if she takes a dislike to you, you may as well leave. I have no idea what she found wrong with us on this return visit, but we won't be back to find out. Expensive for a sushi/Japanese place as well, with the same ticky-tacky ambiance as much cheaper places. Don't bother.”

“Most incompetent group. First, they brought the order wrong. Then, when it was sent back, the cook barely scraped the cheese off, threw it on a bun and sent it back(ten minutes later). When I sent it back and asked just to be charged for a salad, the supervisor told me I'd have to pay more and refused to correct (ran off to call her boss instead of fixing it). Then, to make it worse, the office made no attempt to investigate it - I guess robbing of customers is acceptable to them. Avoid these people at all costs! Its easy to see why the restaurant is half empty on a Saturday night.”

• Very personable service, my first time but I felt at home.
• Most of the surrounding area is under renovation, not a whole lot, else in walking distance.

“This was the worst Italian Restaurant I have ever been to. The Martini's were overpriced and watered down. The bread was bland. The Cesar salad very cheap. The Parmesan cheese was bought from pre-graded store. The main course was one of their specialties Gratzi's Saute. Overcooked pasta, 2 leathery prawns and a bite full of sand from one of the two scallops. Salmon was bland. Thank goodness for the lemon wedge that saved it from the trash. And the entree was $25.00! $20.00 for one bottle of screw top Cab. I will never go to this restaurant again. Very disappointed.”

I only wish we had been seated farther from the front, because my five year old picked up some new words from an employee arguing with someone on the phone at the front, within earshot. My two year old daughter crawled under the table, and came up with a roach in her hand. I almost passed out. We paid for the drinks, and left, we didn't order any food, I wouldn't have been able to eat it after that.”

“Horrible food, poorly advertised. Ordered biscuits and gravy and Chicken Club Sandwich, got stale Cornbread and Gravy, and a very disgusting Chicken Club Sandwich that looked nothing like the picture, and two coffees to go for breakfast. We only got half the sandwich, the chicken was borderline frozen, and the bread was hard and stale and hard to swallow, and the fries were soggy. And there were coffee grinds in the coffee. Good food, overall, if you want to waste your money and throw-up plenty. Felt weak and sick for the rest of the day till we went to the hospital.”

• Time frame for meals to go out.

“I came with two others to celebrate a 71st birthday. It took 40 minutes for the salad and that was brought over right after one of us approached the manager about the time and then very shortly after the salad was delivered we got our main entree. The food was only warm and it was not exactly what we had ordered such as rice (which was under-cooked) instead of veg and coleslaw, with another entree. The cooks need to get the food out and have the servers take it out ASAP while it is hot and pay attention to changes on the tickets.”

“If you are in a hurry or tired of $15 Hotdogs, this place is a God send after a long day at Disneyland. This is the same McDonald's food you get anywhere in the US, and there is something comforting about that amidst all the craziness at Disneyland. Plus they have awesome sugar cookies 3 for $1 you can bring with you into the park for a few snacks throughout the day. Save a few bucks and eat here at least once if you are traveling to Disney for a few days.”

“A local hang out, attracting the middle class upwards. Located in a small agricultural and bedroom community for the Metro an hour away, the clientele mostly consists of those above the blue-collar laboring class due to price, though the prices are reasonable for most folks. Separate small bar area, a main dining area, and a more informal booth and single counter area. Many people adore the fried chicken. A fine lightly fried mixture of scallops and abalone. Oh so YUMMY! It was a fine place to dine. Casual dress okay. Folks were friendly. Mostly locals but strangers welcomed.”

“I love this cafe, built (1887) remodeled (1916) If its good and fine enough for me. I'm very comforted by all of its surroundings, Santa Clarita, Saugus, Valencia and Canyon Country and love each moment. I breathe that clean air and enjoy the blue skies. When I lived there; I'd drive up a few miles to Castaic Lake just to lay in the sun 30 minutes and then go to work at Magic Mt. Life is good with good people and so are the Saugus Café, well done cheeseburgers and extra onions!”

“We usually eat at Denny's next door but decided to try the Farm House. I was very disappointed with my barbecue beef sandwich because there was hardly any beef and the bun was already small. When I called it to my waitress attention, she just shrugged it off and said and did nothing to correct the situation which I found very rude. Absolutely no value there.”

“I don't write reviews, but this one needs one. Ordered eggs over medium, sourdough toast and pork chops. The eggs were cooked on a hot griddle giving them an amber colored crispy hide on both sides. Two slices of toast; one toasted, one white and not toasted, just dry. Splotch of butter in the middle only of each, which is typical of many breakfast joints, not just the Longhorn. Server was brusque and not at all friendly. No good morning or anything more than a what can I get here, and an appearance that she didn't have time to be friendly. She appeared twice during the meal. Once to take the order, and then to bring us the meal with the bill which was presented on the middle of the table. That's it. No checking in to see if we needed more coffee or anything. She wears glasses. Owner should remember: Give good service and the customer tells 5. Give bad service and the customer tells 15.”

“My husband and I have been there twice so far but plan on going there often. The food is great! And they'll prepare it the way you prefer. The service was excellent too. It's a small hole in the wall but pretty and clean inside. Tables with tablecloths make the small place look very nice. We would definitely recommend this restaurant for all the above but mostly for the fantastic array of wonderful tasty recipes.”

“We've visited Goofy's Kitchen more than once a year for the past several years. Our latest visit was this past weekend and we were disappointed with the quality of food. The eggs seemed powdered and had these tiny holes in them whatever that was about and the bacon didn't have the familiar taste we've grown to love and look forward to. We tried an omelets and it was unappealing flat and dry. They're not the nicest people unless they're taking the picture you don't want to buy *we go there many times a year so we don't change much to warrant an update* or sweet talk you to buy a photo you don't want. Other than that they leave you alone only swarming to clear your table.”

“A must-visit for breakfast, have eaten here maybe 30 times with 5 or more people every time and have never been treated badly. The service can be slow - I have a feeling the kitchen is undersized for the room. The food is above average and is plentiful. No doubt this is a coffee shop with a noisy crowd at breakfast, and sometimes the service can drag a bit, but overall a solid choice for breakfast.”

• Great for families inside or out; try the small deck for romance.
• Noisy crowds sometimes.

“Antonio's is a friendly, sometimes noisy place where a wide variety of Italian food and pizza fill the tummy. Eating outside on the patio, or even better, on the small deck running across the harbor side of the restaurant, gives you a wonderful view of Avalon Bay, the pier, the Inn at Mt. Aida, and the Casino. Try the day old spaghetti and the cheese bread; their garlic cheese bread is practically a meal by itself and the pizza is a lot better than most places on the mainland. Eat family style and you won't be disappointed.”

• Consistently simple but high quality food and fabulous view.
• The wait and service on occasion, but overall very good.

“Our family of five has eaten here for over 20 years (at least 30 dinners) and are very happy with Armstrong's. The fish is always fresh, as can be seen in their market section (buy and barbecue!), the food is high quality and simply prepared, and although the service can be spotty if they are swamped and have large families with high demands, overall this is the best place on the island for fish. The clam chowder is as good as any we've had all over California. We have never had a bad dinner here and the harbor side location is superb.”

“When we came in, it looked nice and Italian. The drama started with the waitress, who was a bit mysterious about all sorts of strange charges on the first page of the menu. The food was poor and not a good value for your money. With 4 persons and only a entree we had to pay over 180 dollars because they charged a tip of 20% cause we were a large group! I would seriously dis-recommend this to anyone who cares about his money.”

• I think if they would stay open later their revenue would be greater.

“I've been to restaurants in plenty of places; I've watched people all over the world stuff their faces. When I ate here without a doubt, I realized what good food was all about. The pasta was good, the drinks were great and I like the sauce right off my plate. Staff was really good and I wish we had a place like this in my neighborhood. So if youre ever up Mt. Shasta way, drop in and let your taste buds play. I like the ham on Rye and Apple Pie.”

“The bed in our room was covered in bed bugs, the pool had dead cockroaches floating in it, as well as around the pool deck. DISGUSTING!! When we called the front desk to tell them about it they denied it, said we were lying, and hung up on us. DO NOT STAY HERE!!”
