  • Great prices and food. Fast and friendly service. Restrictive free delivery.
  • Small dining room and closed on Mondays.

“Very small dining area. My son and I eat here about every ten days. Family owned and operated. I sometimes change the items in the recipe and they have no problem with it at all. The food is better than any Chinese buffet with 20 miles. Prices are great.”

Roy's Scottsdale
May 7, 2009 by virginia from phx.

Overall Rating: 10 User Rating Score: 10
Food:[10] • Service:[10] • Atmosphere:[10]

  • The food and service was excellent. I truly enjoyed myself and so did my family!
  • I barely had enough room for dessert.

“Last year for Mother's day I took my mom and family to Roy's Scottsdale, and we were completely blown away. I'm a foodie, and have traveled quite extensively, but the service was on point, as was the quality of the food. Lets start with the bloody Mary's and guava mimosa we ordered. It was then followed with delicious seafood: lobster pot stickers, salmon lomi lomi (brochette-like), and sushi. Those appetizers wet our appetites! The entrance was even more magnificent! Blackened salmon with scrambled eggs, lemon honey grilled tiger prawns, yummy snapper, and char-grilled NY steak and eggs. Brunch was delicious, and the fact that the staff was friendly while they tended to us made us feel welcome and comfortable. For desert my mom had the warm banana cake that we all shared with an espresso to wash it down. We couldn't help but thank the young and hip chef on the way out. His food was adventurous yet subtle, and it drove our pallets wild. Plus, it wasn't overpriced for the quality! We're definitely going back this year for mother's day brunch!”

“The Golden Greek has some of the best Greek Food. It was not commercialized like my Big Fat Greek Restaurant. It has about 10 tables, so if you get there at dinner time, be prepared to wait a little bit. The food was definitely worth the wait.”

Burger King
Apr 4, 2009 by Becca from Sedona

Overall Rating: 2 User Rating Score: 2
Food:[2] • Service:[1] • Atmosphere:[2]

  • I don't ever have to go back again. And never will!
  • Salesperson did not speak English well, Assistant manager incompetence, and wrong order - multiple times!

“I was treated very rudely at the drive through. The woman taking my order barely spoke English. When I questioned the total, she huffed away and then handed me the receipt. She then gave me the wrong change. When I got my order, it was not accurate and then when we finally got home to open the chicken sandwiches, they were also wrong. The last straw was that when I called to talk to the manager. I explained the errors and expected to get my meal replaced with the corrected sandwich, however, I told her I could not come back that day since I was already out of the area and unable to drive back. Her response as acting manager was to put the incompetent employee back on the phone with me. Nothing was resolved and I got stuck with a wrong sandwich. I will never go back to this Burger King! Very rude and very unprofessional.”

Ah-So
Mar 29, 2009 by Kim from Phoenix, AZ

Overall Rating: 2 User Rating Score: 2
Food:[4] • Service:[1] • Atmosphere:[1]

  • Nothing.
  • Service, food, smoking on the patio, etc.

“We went to the new Ah So at Happy Valley and it was horrible. We have had great experiences at the Ah So on Bell road, but the new one was one of the worst experiences I've ever had at a restaurant. I was with a party of 3 and the hostess tried to seat for a party of 2 three times. We had to remind her 3 times that there were 3 of us and that we didn't want to sit at the sushi bar. We finally got a table on the patio (a very small table). Our waiter was indifferent, sarcastic, and not friendly. After waiting over 45 minutes for our food, we were disappointed with the temperature of what we got as well as the taste. As we were eating, multiple customers were smoking on the patio. The servers did not tell them that it is against the law to do so or point out the no smoking sign on the window. We told our server once he finally asked us how our meal was (we were done at that point) that we were disappointed with the time it took, etc, he said that he is embarrassed to tell his guests that the kitchen was behind. We will not return to this establishment and we will not be recommending it to anyone.”

Cafe Paraiso
Mar 28, 2009 by Caroline from Tucson

Overall Rating: 1 User Rating Score: 1
Food:[1] • Service:[1] • Atmosphere:[6]

  • Good location and plenty of seating.
  • Surly staff and dubious food quality.

“Having visited Cafe Paraiso several times, I was always of the opinion that even though the staff was generally surly, the food was good. After my most recent visit I'm inclined to believe that something has changed, and not for the better. Our food arrived at the table quite cool, and I asked to have mine sent back to the kitchen. When it was brought back to me, it was warm enough for consumption if not piping hot. Alas, I spent the rest of the day with pretty severe dyspepsia and stabbing stomach pains, which I am certain were from my breakfast as I consumed nothing else that day. My friend and I were treated with the minimum of courtesy, and no apology made for the inconvenience of being served cold food. There are plenty of places to eat on University- avoid Cafe Paraiso and an unpleasant experience.”

Mr Cs Restaurant
Mar 23, 2009 by hvn from Tucson

Overall Rating: 2 User Rating Score: 2
Food:[6] • Service:[1] • Atmosphere:[5]

  • None!
  • Service was horrible, will never return.

“The area and the service was not at all friendly! The restaurant looked nice and though it would be a good place for dinner before returning to Tucson. Well anyone wanting to stop here looking for a nice place to eat heres my warning - based only on facts and my experience. The salad bar can just barely be called a salad bar and besides lettuce and tomatoes there wasnt much else there to add to it, for a $9 salad bar they should at least give you more options. The wait staff needs more training on how to wait on tables and a little knowledge about the restaurant. Every time we asked our waitress a question her response was that she needed to go check. The food is decent but not not so good. One of the persons in our party found a plastic bag tie on their salad and when we brought it to the attention of the waitress they told us that the only thing they could do for us was to give us free refills on our drink! I guess they thought we were stupid. When we asked to speak to the manager they told us there was no manager on duty and he couldnt be reached. I will never return to this place and I urge anyone that cares about eating at a nice restaurant to avoid this place.”

  • Too small to bring a large sized contingent.

“Very tiny. Only three booths (4 people max.) and one table. Hardly a place to take a date, or to have a large business meeting, but it's owned by a very friendly family, and their service is quick and the food is delicious. My wife and I eat there quite often. They do deliver to decent sized area.”

Outback Steakhouse
Mar 15, 2009 by bruce from arizona

Overall Rating: 6 User Rating Score: 6
Food:[8] • Service:[9] • Atmosphere:[9]

  • Liked the food, portions, price.
  • Disliked the horrible, pathetic Cesar salad.

“My wife and myself went to the outback on Bell Ave. in Glendale Arizona. The food was good as well as the service, The prices were no better or worse than comparable establishments, however my only complaint was the salad, it was pathetic, it looked like the leftovers from iceberg lettuce. I ordered a Cesar salad. this salad should have been made with green lettuce, not the white leftovers from iceberg lettuce.”

Overall Rating: 3 User Rating Score: 3
Food:[1] • Service:[9] • Atmosphere:[7]

  • Service.
  • Very poor food quality and quantity.

“The service here is close to five A. The food is terrible. I went here for lunch during the week and had a lunch special. It was a soup and salad for 7 bucks. The soup was chicken broth, water, and tortellinis. It was the blandest Italian I have ever had. If you like no salt or cheese, this may be the place for you. Go to Rigatony's for the real Italian. In my group of ten people not a one liked it.”

  • Waiting in line when they are swamped - mostly winter time 5-7pm.

“It is the first place our kids want to go when they visit - takes them back to the days of Old time Rocky Point Mexico. Love the food and the people. Sometimes long lines, especially in the winter. Great value for the money. The building makes you think you are in Mexico, as does the food. Wonderful. Staff can get pretty busy but always polite. I dream of their shredded beef tacos.”

Oreganos Pizza Bistro & Patio
Jan 13, 2009 by John from Scottsdale

Overall Rating: 5 User Rating Score: 5
Food:[5] • Service:[7] • Atmosphere:[3]

  • Wait staff was very upbeat and helpful.
  • Very noisy.

“Lines are long at this famed pizza restaurant. I lived in Chicago, and the restaurant tries to pass off their pan pizza as Chicago deep dish. It is hardly deep dish and quite disappointing. the crust was thick and took up 60% of the pan layer. Nothing like the real deep dish in the windy city. We went on a Monday evening and were told the wait would be 30 minutes. It ended up being 1 hour and some who came later had a 1.5 hr wait which turned out to be 2 hrs. The hostess could order the pan pizza ahead for you, which we did. But when we were finally seated, the waitress told us she had only received the order 10 min before and the pan pizza takes 45 minutes to cook. After checking with the manager, they somehow managed to speed up the process and got us our pizza 30 minutes after we were seated. She also said the pizza would be on the house, since communication between hostess and wait staff was sorely lacking. Very disappointing evening. I have yet to experience anything quite like real deep dish outside of Chicago, and this place is no exception.”

Francisco's Mexican Restaurant
Jan 12, 2009 by Mary from Los Angeles

Overall Rating: 10 User Rating Score: 10
Food:[10] • Service:[10] • Atmosphere:[8]

  • Very friendly service, amazing food.
  • Not romantic.

“I used to live in PV, and I went to Francisco's every chance I got. I have never found anything to remotely compare in the whole Los Angeles Metro area and, believe me, I have scoured the county. Good ethnic restaurants are usually in rural towns, so that's no surprise. Francisco's has an excellent Ranchero sauce. No restaurant in LA seems to know what Ranchero sauce is. Everything I've tried at Francisco's is beyond awesome. The flautas are huge, the burritos are enormous, the camarones dishes are divine. You can never go wrong and the prices are more than fair for what you get. Francisco's is so popular that they opened a second one just a couple miles away, so that definitely says something. The ranch dressing on the salads is also very good and tastes homemade.”

I'm glad I did though! Trapper's has some of the best pie I've tasted. And I love pie, so take my word for it. It's simply delicious. With flavors ranging from Coconut cream to Lemon cream favv!, to the good ol' Apple with ice cream. It's all homemade and it's all delicious!”

I am originally from California and I had my heart set on a Thai food place and thought once I moved here I would never find another Thai food restaurant that would keep me satisfied. What I have came to realize is that every Thai restaurant is different, which makes it unique! The service is amazing, I love the owner she is so sweet. I always order their mu satay and tom ka gai soup. Honestly the price is not at all bad, think of all the non authentic chain Asian restaurants your spending more money! I do agree the location is kind of odd, but it reminds me of the little mom and pop places in California.”

Food:[8] • Service:[2] • Atmosphere:[4]

  • The food is normally pretty good.
  • The service!

“The food is good but the service is always so terrible. Walk in and you may be greeted or not. We've stood 5 minutes and were never acknowledged. So we've had to leave. Service is slow and there are very few waiter/waitresses.”

Dish (The)
Oct 30, 2008 by MJ from Tucson

Overall Rating: 10 User Rating Score: 10
Food:[10] • Service:[10] • Atmosphere:[8]

  • The soup of the day.
  • Tables very close.

“A 'speakeasy' bistro hidden inside a wine shop. FYI: no longer as 3200 E. Speedway, moved across the street to 3131 E. First Street. Intimate midtown bistro. Eclectic selection of 'Little Dishes', 'Green Dishes' and 'Big Dishes' from a Seasonal Menu. 'Dish of the Day' was fresh Opah. Fantastic carrot-ginger soup with beet fritters. Near-endless wine selection, as any bottle in The RumRunner - the adjoining wine shop - can be enjoyed in The Dish for $12 over retail.”

Food:[10] • Service:[10] • Atmosphere:[9]

  • Mouth-watering food.
  • Can't eat there as much as I'd like because I live in California.

“Absolutely awesome food. The best Italian I have ever had. My favorites are the Seafood Diavolo, the homemade soups, the cannoli and the tiramisu. Great staff, relaxed fine dining experience.”
