“I have given this place a try on three separate occasions. The first was during lunch rush. We had to leave without being served food because we waited for 45 minutes and still no food. We only had one hour for lunch. The other two times were for dinner. The recipes are horrible. The food is substandard and the service is marginal at best. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. I echo another reviewers comments that it should have remained closed.”

“My family was traveling back from Florida and found this restaurant by accident. We were actually looking for another restaurant that we had seen on a road sign. From the outside you might be a little unsure of eating there. Its not all fancied up. But the food and service are well worth it! It was wonderful! The staff was very friendly, and the cook was great. He put on a good show for my kids. You get a good portion size for your money, and the prices are very reasonable. This was our first visit to a Japanese restaurant. We will definitely be going back to this one the next time we are traveling through!”

“Service was horrible. Manager was rude and could not care less that our food took well over an hour to receive. Never did get the salad, after an hour plus sandwiches finally arrived, well after everyone around us had been served. Watched our waitress play at the hostess stand and not get our order put in for a good 20 minutes. Manager's attitude was poor when confronted, we were told to go if we didn't like it, they didn't need our business.”

“Have been going to this BBQ for over 20 years. Best BBQ, you see people with BMW, Mercedes, trucks & the people that come in usually are return customers. They always remember our order from the time before! I've met the owners & have told them how much we love the place & their employees. They use wood & you smell it when you get out of your car. Best tea in town. It is an old bldg.& we recommend it to others. You do see a lot of people coming in with office orders & people from DeKalb airport come in all the time. I love their ribs & we always get a lb of pork to go. Try it you wont be disappointed.”

“We happened to stop at Richmond Hill, GA for the night when traveling down to Florida in August on a family vacation. We asked the hotel where was the best place to eat and she suggested Steamers. WOW! Absolutely the best dinner I've ever had. It was so good that we planned our return trip to stop overnight there and eat at Steamers on the way home as well. I would rate Steamers 15 if I could. Wish we had a Steamers in my hometown.”

• Candied yams, a touch too sweet. but that's reaching for a negative.

“Lunch On Main St. put my husband and me in a good mood after a terrible flight experience. While waiting for a way out of Atlanta, we were wasting time and stopped by the little diner for lunch. I wouldn't call the food anything spectacular, since we just ordered sandwiches, but the service was Southern hospitality at its finest. Our charming and friendly waitress, made us smile from the moment we sat down, and when she discovered we were newly weds on our way home, she insisted on buying us lunch! For two out-of-towers who had admittedly never been to Atlanta or made plans to return, the gesture was significant. Traveling can be frustrating, that's for sure. It's the lunch on Main St. of the world that help you make the best of bad situations. I wish this review and our hearty tip could repay you for the degree of relief you afforded a frustrated and hungry couple.”

“My husband and I love this restaurant! He calls it our place. The service is great and they really get to know you. The shrimp sauce is by far the best. The food is cheap. We can order 2 meals with salads and 2 drinks for about $14. How awesome is that?”

“The food was great, however the service was less that desirable. We arrived at the store at 8:50 pm thinking the store was closing because one of the workers was mopping the floor. We pulled up to the door to see what the hours were. We then noticed that they closed at 10pm. The two ladies were extremely rude to us and were literally throwing the toppings on our sandwiches. We sat down to eat and one of the ladies said "They are eating here" as we sat there we were starred down. while we ate, another gentleman came in at 9:10 pm in which he received the same treatment. I would not go to this restaurant if it is within an hour of closing.”

“We used to go once or twice a month. Last visit, owner did not honor his Birthday Special when I went to pay. This was even after I had called to verify prior to going there. He said 1 of his workers had made a mistake and he would have to correct them. He lost a long time customer and future customer over his greed, self trying to make an extra buck.”

“I ate at Yoder's yesterday and immediately noticed the vine ripe fresh tomatoes were just that - vine ripe and fresh! My family ate a variety of foods and every person thought their plate was the best. No one had room for the scrumptious deserts, but a few forced themselves. Simple food well prepared - can't beat it.”

“I want to thank the manager and her staff on the outstanding service in helping me to organize a party for my Mom's birthday. This was my first time having to organize a party, and manager and her chief were very professional in how they helped me in planning a menu, and staying within my budget. We had the party on Aug. 8th, and everyone keeps telling me how great everything was. The food, service, and accommodations were all excellent. I know that the next function I'm in charge of, or have any input in planning, we will be at the Buckhead, and I highly recommend you do the same! Again thanks to manager and her staff.”

“This is the best seafood ever. The prices are a little high, but the back water dock makes up for it. I would give it a perfect ten, but the staff is so rude (like every business in the Tybee area) you have to flag down the waitress if you need something. Then they act like your on their time. Food - great, people - rude.”

“The food here has gotten awful. They just toss stuff out in the trays and hope that you eat it. The last (and it really was the last) time we were here, the food all came across as leftovers. Not a great way to run a restaurant. Ryan's used to be a decent buffet. Sure has slipped.”

“The server was very rude and un-attentive. She acted like she would rather we hadn't bothered to come in the day we were there and no one else was any friendlier. We have been there many times in the past because the location is nice, being beside the flowing river, and we have had good experiences there; however, when we were there on 7/7/09, it was a disaster and we have no desire to return. The young ladies servicing the tables were too young and inexperienced or else they just didn't want to be doing what they were doing.”

“PF Changes is an EXCELLENT restaurant located at the Mall of Georgia. Every time I go there, the food is superb, the service was great (very friendly and knowledgeable wait staff) and the atmosphere is very modern. The restaurant is usually pretty crowded so be sure to allow time in your schedule for a bit of a wait. (They could use a larger waiting area!) My suggestion of a not-to-be-missed item from the menu is the lettuce wraps appetizer. Delicious!”

“My husband & I were traveling and found this out of the way spot with help from the nearby Visitor's Center. The restaurant looks old fashioned and is decorated with interesting old things, which we liked a lot, but we were so disappointed with the food. We just couldn't eat the barbecue. My husband got a hot dog and he said it was not very good. He tried the BBQ and we agreed that we will never go back. Also, we did not like the idea of eating from a loaf of bread where everyone else has put their hands. The service was not good either. The locals don't know what they're missing when it comes to BBQ.”

“Lunch on Main is that place that everyone looks for when visiting a small town, and College Park is a small town of neighbors. Lunch on main is the place where locals go. Many business people eat there daily because of the varied menu and selections off the Wall, where non menu items are posted daily. People from the airport and Ft McPherson are constantly in attendance. The food is not what some might call fancy, but all items are well prepared, seasoned and often have some special addition that provides a unique flavor. The service is invariably friendly and the owner, Lilly, is a constant warm and friendly presence, overseeing and greeting her friends and customers. Lunch on Main is one of those iconic local places where friends gather for a great meal and value. Thanks.”

“My 5-year-old son and I love Lunch on Main. When I ask him where he would like to go, he says, let's go to Lunch on Main. I don't know many 5-year-olds that chose a meat and 3 place over fast food. The food is great and is a wonderful place to eat a few veggies.”

• Staff uncaring, never got our food we ordered, we left and paid for appetizer.

“Staff is rude. Food has been okay in the past, but not worth the rude staff. Manager could care less. They do not have good reviews. Check out other places on Tybi, save your time and money. We went June 18th 2009 and never received our food. We watched several tables come in after us, get their food eat it and leave. We never got any explanation from the waitress or manager. We were not rude or loud and our kids were polite. Spanky's does not want families to spend their money there. They could care less about us or the lack of service. I've got complaints from my friends about Spanky's and I never believed them until now. Too bad I stuck up for them, and tried to tell my friends to give them another chance. I wish I hadn't, because I was wrong. We will be finding a new spot to eat at after a day at the beach.”

“Food here was terrific! Very eclectic style menu with varying sides daily. However, the owner was seen being excessively rude and overbearing to his staff. Constant yelling from inside the food window with many despairing looks towards the waitresses. Conversations between the owner and employees were overheard with much obscenity and rude demands being given. Can't believe somebody would treat another human being like this.”

• The portions are smaller, you don't get enough for the money and tips that you spend.

“I have been to this restaurant several times in the past, and I must say the first time was better than all others. On my first visit, I was very impressed with the food portions because they give you your money's worth. As I began to visit more frequently the food portions were a little less than the previous visits. So if I had to judge this restaurant on the quantity of food, I would say that the portions have went down considering the money you have to spend.”

“I had the best time in this bar! The bartender was a blast and the patrons were friendly and relaxed. It's also nice to sit and watch the ships sail up and down the Savannah River! Give it a try for sure. I also really enjoyed Kevin Barry's Pub, also on the Riverfront.”

“I shopped a store in Clanton Alabama and a sign caught my eye that said Kid's Meals 99 cents with the purchase of a value meal. When I ordered I had two children with me, so I didn't notice the price of my value meal and kid's meal. After I sat down to eat I noticed they charged me full price for the meal. I took the receipt back to the front cash to get a refund, only to have someone in front of me doing the same. The manager then said that she would do it for the lady in front of me, but next time she needed to remember to ask for it or else they wouldn't give her money back next time. I didn't want to be a burden for her, but if the sign says they are 99 cents, shouldn't they just ring up that way. I mean, I purposely purchased a meal to get the 99 cent kid's meal and didn't even get it because I didn't ask for it. That is just ridiculous and you should be ashamed.”

“The food was absolutely excellent all around and the service was great. The salad greens were fresh, onion rings crispy and the sweet potato moist. Definitely recommend the Buffalo Nickel Burger. There was absolutely nothing negative about our experience - the waitresses were all very cheerful even though it was Easter evening.”

“Chic King has the best chicken in the world! I have tried chicken everywhere, had arguments about the best chicken spots all over the country and Chic King wins every time. I don't know how in the world you do it, but just keep it up. I am from Eastman, but I moved away when I was a child. Your chicken is the best and if you're ever passing through Eastman, it's worth your money and time to stop.”

“I had a great time here during Friday night with the band playing. The service was quite efficient for a packed crowd. I had fried green beans as an appetizer and they were wonderful. I also had their new pizza. It has hummus and no red sauce. It was great. Very unusual. The tables are wonderful. I am going back when not so crowded, just to see all the different tables.”
