Popular with a twentysomething or thirtysomething crowd of trendy professionals and free-spirited artist types, the cafe (by name) stacks up more like a restaurant/bar. Cleverly prepared Czech dishes are combined with continental dishes to create a solid menu offering something for everyone. Lunches draw a good crowd and seating is rarely a problem while evenings tend to draw groups stopping off for after dinner drinks as much as for a meal. The space often fills up in the evenings after the adjoining Dlouha Theater empties out. Huge windows close in both sides of this large corner joint of checkered floors and hip furnishings which tend to entice passers-by in the passage to stop off for one before heading on.
