Kamuela's Cookhouse

This is the only restaurant in the one-horse town of Kualapu'u. Formerly a farmhouse, this eatery is only distinguishable because its coat of paint is slightly less faded than it neighbors'. The interior is cozy, friendly and warm. The menu sticks with the heavy, hearty dishes that locals love. Egg breakfasts and plate lunches are served. Burgers, fries and sandwiches are also available. Note: while the dining room closes at 2:30pm, takeout is available on the weekdays until supplies run out or the cook goes home, whichever happens first. Cash only.
