The staff will happily supply local information, coffee, snacks and free leaflets. The Interpretive Centre displays information on the Murray-Darling river system, including a walkable three-dimensional model of the river. The model clearly outlines the wetlands and local lakes and explains relevant ecological issues. Aboriginal habitation of the river is traced back 40,000 years, and Aboriginal Dreaming stories relate how the rivers were once stocked with fish.
