Starlite DinerBolshaya Sadovaya Ulitsa 16, Moscow, RussiaTel: +7 095 959 8919 • Web: Visit this site » The Starlite Diner ranks among the most striking of all novelties in modern Moscow—an authentic, allegedly completely American-made chrome-plated American diner that appears like an alien spacecraft among the city's Stalinist buildings. It was brought over from Chicago bit by bit and assembled in a central Moscow garden square. It's a great place for parties—American and English expats hang out here. The cocktail bar is a favorite. There are two Starlite Diners in Moscow, this one is quite close to the American Embassy. The interior is all red and silver, reviving the atmosphere of the America of the '50s. The walls are covered with pictures of movie stars and covers of past Life magazines. Comfortable sofas are placed at opposite sides of tables—a good arrangement to accommodate friendly company. The food is traditionally American, ranging from sweet waffles to a selection of burgers. The menu includes 50 of the restaurant's special cocktails; it also serves a fine selection of extravagant (and large) desserts and milkshakes.

“I am a Greek who arrived 3 months ago to work permanently in Moscow. Straight from my first day here my colleagues (I work in a multinational environment) suggested a Starlight Diner not too far from our office. I became a permanent customer and I do not intend to change it for the forthcoming years. The personnel is very polite and this creates a very nice atmosphere that really removes all my work stress on lunch time. I like their cuisine a lot. I also enjoy having breakfast there on the weekends (my favorite is the Russian Cheesecakes which are actually pancakes mixed with feta cheese).”

“The food is always great at Starlite Diner Cape Town! I have taken my entire family there because the portions are huge for the amount of money that you pay. Having sun-downers on the patio is relaxing and during the day, usually around lunch time there are quite a few business people popping in who are on their lunch break. Starlite Diner Cape Town has been open for 7 years and hasn't closed their doors once, which is awesome for when you want food at 2 in the morning after club-hopping or even if your just hungry at 2 in the morning.” Popular Restraurants in MoscowView all restaurants in Moscow
