Gilley's Texas Cafe3457 West Highway 76, Branson, MOTel: (417) 335-2755 • Web: Visit this site » Ten years ago, country crooner, Mickey Gilley brought a little bit of the Lone Star to Branson. Now, he serves it up in ladles overflowing with spicy chili, along with barbeque, burgers and Tex-Mex grub. At this Texas-sized restaurant, a colorful mural depicting a Southwest desert scene wraps around the walls. But you will not spend much time admiring the artwork. From the minute you are seated, you will be preoccupied with eating some of the finest chow in town. The popular Wild Bull Chili (USD4.25) is a local favorite. If you are after something a little heartier, try the Heart of Texas Rib Eye (USD15.95).

“We wanted Mexican food while on our family vacation. We went to eat there on the 18th of March. My husband and I ordered fajitas for two mixed. The chicken was brought out under cooked. We told the waiter we would not be eating that raw chicken as you can get sick from that. They brought us out more beef. By that time I was afraid to eat any of it. My 9 year old ate her food and said it was ok. To top it off we had to pay for this food. As we were leaving they had the nerve to ask if they beef they replaced the chicken with was ok. I am not sure how Missouri runs its state but in Texas they food would have been on the house. I will be making a complaint to the health department as well.”

“From the beginning our experience was awful. The "Gilley on the Rocks" was so watered down that I am sure there was more alcohol content in Kool-Aid. We heard about the famous ribs and all of our party was urged to try them. 5 out of 5 plates of ribs were so tough and dry they had to microwave. The sauce was pretty good, but would of tasted better on the wet nap we received with our plates. When my wife and I complained about the ribs, a female manager visited our table and in the middle of speaking to us answered a cell phone then proceeded to argue with someone on the other line, after excusing herself from the table. Then after about 6 minutes of waiting our meal was 10% off. We were degusted and left NEVER to return. ” 5 of 7 people found this review helpful.Popular Restraurants in BransonView all restaurants in Branson
