Located in a 60-year-old building that has served as a general store, smokehouse and diner, this breakfast and lunch restaurant prides itself on serving up meals that could have come from grandma's kitchen in the nearby hills. Everyday, diners opt for a blue plate special that ranges from black-eyed peas and cornbread to pork chops and mashed potatoes and costs $3.99-5.99. A daily special of smoked ham and beans, cornbread, onions and real butter goes for $3.99. If you want a chance to try the meats that are smoked right on the premises, order Rex's Hillbilly Club Sandwich, a combination of smoked turkey, ham, and bacon, for $5.94.
