Il Mare653-20 Shinsa-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, South KoreaTel: +82 (0)2 3444 8697 • Web: Visit this site » Il mare means "the sea" in Italian. True to its name, this restaurant specializes in pastas with seafood. It is known to the younger Korean generation as the best place around to have delicious pasta. The interior of the restaurant sets a casual mood since the majority of the customers are young. On the walls, there are many pictures of famous Italian actors and actresses. Special recommendations include calamari (KRW8,000), Zuppa di fungi con pomodoro (KRW7,000) or Lu mache al fratti di mare (KRW18,000).

“I went to one Il'Mare restaurant in Mokdong, Seoul, with my girlfriend. The food was extremely expensive (more than W 40,000 for a steak) but good. Later we went to the Il'Mare restaurant in Singil, Seoul (near Lotte World). I ordered the lasagne (still very pricey at W 25,000) and it was cold in the middle! Obviously the chef just pulled it out of the fridge and heated it up. I sent the lasagne back, but even when it was returned to me hot, it tasted terrible - probably the worst lasagne I've ever had in a decent restaurant. I won't be going back.” 2 of 2 people found this review helpful.Popular Restraurants in Seoul
