There are a number of fishermen's associations on the island that get together to sell fresh fish cheaper than in most mainstream restaurants. The Argineguin is, without doubt, the most popular. It moved premises to a bigger restaurant in 1994. The plastic tablecloths, paper serviettes and polite waiters attract a loyal clientele. Although not fancy, it's worth eating here as they serve seafood that has literally just been caught. The restaurant closes in September.
