Located in the heart of the Byward Market, this hip martini bar and restaurant is an ideal place for a drink or a relaxing meal. Owned and operated by Ottawa restaurateurs Dave Mangano and Dave Leif, the Grill's slogan is "Get a Nightlife." Main courses include a Mixed Grill Platter to share (mango and chipotle beef, balsamic lemon-herb lamb, tandoori chicken and others, CAD25), Seafood Spinach Linguine (CAD 20) and the dreamy 8-ounce Gourmet Empire Burger with caramelized onions (CAD 11). Live jazz lifts the mood on Sunday nights and the outdoor patio is a great place for people watching.

- Atmosphere is nice and steaks looked tasty.
- Service is lousy and inattentive.
“Our 3rd visit to this restaurant, first 2 with co-workers and last night on our own. Service has been slow and inattentive each time. Received water, bread, wine and appetizers from pleasant waitress. She returned after an hour to empty the wine into our glasses and go to check up our entries. She then ignored us for 30 minutes after that as did everyone else. We walked our after 90 minutes still hungry, our special evening ruined. Food lacks imagination and overpriced. When you can get a far superior 3 course dinner at Dom's just around the corner.”
