Cafe Rhytm ClubUlica Piekna 28, Warsaw, PolandThis trendy and unusual cafe is an excellent place at any time of day. Quiet and laid back during the day and happening in the evenings. It is fairly new on the Warsaw scene and has resisted becoming 'type-cast' like many of the other new establishments, so everybody feels welcome. Owned and managed by young Poles it's a great example of how to do it right. On two levels, the ground floor is decorated with contemporary art and old long playing records, which are also used as place mats. Downstairs is another magical room full of 1920's plus Polish memorabilia from old photos and menus to kitchen utensils. A great selection of salads, with the current favourite being 'fresh and grilled vegetables'. Also generous sandwiches with 'contemporary' fillings served with chips and some tasty Polish traditional dishes such as 'borscht'and pierogi. Save room for the apple pie which is heavenly. French wine flows. Set lunches are available every day from 12.00 to 5.00 at good value.
