This restaurant, one of the most well-known in the city because of its menu and good service, is located next to the Palacio de Congresos and backs on to the Gran Melia Don Pepe Hotel. Highly recommended are the hors d'oeuvres, salads (the endive variety is delicious), and the choice pata negra ham (from a special breed of pig with black legs, as the name indicates).

There's a covered terrace and two rooms inside. It also operates as a cafe and bar, and is very popular for aperitifs. The wine list is very good and there are some of the best Spanish wines in the cellar. Desserts include Italian style sweets (try the profiteroles) and more traditional puddings such as really good home-made rice pudding.
