This excellent shop is the ultimate in tourist shopping and dining, offering a real insight into the New Zealand lifestyle. The official souvenir stockist for world leaders, Untouched World features a cafe, wine bar, native garden and retail store, which stocks a large and extremely impressive array of clothing--produced onsite by Snowy Peak--plus accessories, organic cusine and wines. There are regular interactive demonstrations of various crafts, including bone carving. The cafe also offers an extensive local menu, and outdoor dining in natural bush surroundings. The friendly bilingual staff are also happy to discuss and offer advice on the local attractions and recreational activities. Bookings are recommended.
