With its luscious gardens and courtyards, as well as its very comfortable over-sized rooms, this grand hotel with its old Thai decor makes you feel like visiting royalty. The entrance lobby revels in its own decadence, with a small orchestra playing most afternoons and early evenings. Its stunning grandeur transports you to another time. The hotel was originally called The Peninsula, hence the Peninsula Plaza across the street, but today it is part of the Four Seasons chain. It houses the best restaurants of any major hotel in town.
