Rosa Mexicano

Located in the northern, residential part of the city, this is the ideal place to taste delicious Mexican tacos and Mexican food. You can't leave the city without visiting this exclusive restaurant that has a very cozy atmosphere and the best country and western music playing in the background. It is very near the Plaza de Toros Quito (the bullring), and when the bull-fighting season is going on, it gets very busy. Big, bright and colorful wide-brimmed hats hang from some of the walls as well as typical costumes, complementing the decor. Menu choices include Gringa served with a flour tortilla, the Alambre and the Taco Loco. Also recommended is the delicious Posoles, a soup made with pork meat, mote (a variety of American corn), radish and lettuce. To drink, you could try a delicious tamarind drink, jamaic. It also serves the delicious Horchata, a drink prepared with rice flour, water, sugar and cinnamon. Tequila, of course, is at the top of the drink menu here.
