Like its sister pubs in Tokyo, The Tavern pub serves good, traditional pub food and a variety of English and Irish draft or bottled ales and beers to help it down. It has a cozy, British atmosphere, even when it is crowded. There is an extensive menu of British delights to choose from. Fish & chips, probably the best in town, cost JPY1,200. Add a portion of mushy peas for an extra JPY200. Shepherd's pie and Cornish pasty also cost JPY1,200, and roast beef and Yorkshire pudding costs JPY1,500. Draft Guinness costs JPY950 a pint and Bass JPY800. There is also an Austrian beer, Gosser, on draft at JPY800. Bottled Newcastle Brown Ale costs JPY850.

“The Tavern is an oasis (or is that home from home) for ex-pats who are tired of the guess work involved in some of Yokohama's bar or restaurants. The atmosphere in the Tavern is second to none, it's not your A-typical plastic British or Irish Pub abroad (if you want that check out The Green Sheep around the corner) the landlord (John) has put a lot of effort and time into creating a relaxed friendly and above all welcoming atmosphere in which you can unwind enjoy a meal and good company. The menu consists of what was Traditional British Pub Grub (UK Pub Grub is now almost wholly Indian Food) a few years ago and is of a high quality. you when you visit the Tavern but you will find and awful lot to make you want to visit again. ”
