Glenelg
Jetty Road, Glenelg, Adelaide, AustraliaGlenelg is South Australia's most popular beachside destination. It boasts a wide variety of shops, restaurants and accommodation plus access to the city via Adelaide's only tram. Glenelg was also the first mainland settlement in South Australia and the historic buildings can be explored on a self-guided walk. A replica of the first settlers' historic ship, HMS Buffalo—now a restaurant&mdashis moored nearby. The beach south leads to Brighton, whilst the white sands in front of Moseley Square are great for volleyball. Alternatively, the kids will love Magic Mountain waterslide and amusement arcade.
