Due to the damage caused by Hurricane Wilma, the following description may no longer be accurate. Please consider this when making your travel plans. The tourist who chooses Cancun as a holiday destination knows that there will be a party atmosphere somewhere, round-the-clock. This is one of the main objectives of Pat O'Brien, who has maintained the original style of his namesake restaurant in New Orleans. It is without a doubt one of the most popular sports bars in Cancun. In addition, its restaurant offers a variety of breakfast, lunch and dinner items. The dishes are varied, but it is especially worth trying the beef cuts and the grilled fish. Prices are moderate and the staff is bilingual.

“The person in front told us it was 40 dollars to get in and get unlimited drinks, and that there was no other option than that. We were first time guests so we didn't know. There were only a few bars that they had so packed you had to wait 20 minutes for a drink. They wouldn¿t give any shots, or mix any good drinks. And if you finally did get a drink, and you wanted a little more, they would wave the tip jar in your face. I think after spending 40 dollars on free drinks you should get as much as your stomach can hold. Even without the drink all night pass we found the beer was 7 dollars. The stages weren't even that crazy, not a lot going on. I'm telling everyone I know to save their money, and never go to pat O¿Brien¿s in Cancun.”

“Visited the O'Briens in San Antonion, TX this last week. This was during their Fiesta so we knew they would be busy. They got us a table quicker than expected. The waiters and waitresses were very knowledgeable and personable. The food was so great that we went back again the next night. The muffalatta sandwich was superb and so was everything else. Thank you so much. When are you going to open one in Michigan?”
