Restaurant Dona BarbaraEntre Iglesia Santa Teresa y Teatro Nacional, Plaza Padre Sojo, Centro, Caracas, VenezuelaTel: +58 2 484 1351 On the corner of the church of Santa Teresa, Restaurant Dona Barbara takes the name of the protagonist of the classic novel by Romulo Gallegos. It is an ideal place to complete the picture of the traditional Caracas atmosphere which is created by its neighbors, la Basilica de Santa Teresa y el Teatro Nacional Simon Diaz. A beautiful facade, and an even more beautiful interior, with its abundance of elegant wood, will help you savor real Ceole cuisine, as well as Spanish cuisine. Among its most popular dishes are: el Pabellon Criollo, with is black beans, white rice, stuffed meat and fried bananas; grilled meat is also much sought after as well as fish in sauce and oven-baked. It is a place where the atmosphere and the menu go together perfectly. Although music is not played inside, quite possibly, you will be lucky enough to hear an instrumentalist playing organ music of Caracas' past in the adjoining Plaza Padre Sojo. It will be a perfect meal.
