Popular with university students and athletic mountaineers, this bright, outdoorsy cafe is usually packed. The walls are decorated with climbing ropes and panoramic pictures of Rocky Mountain summits. The sandwiches are served on slices of homemade bread two inches thick and grilled to a crisp texture. There is a selection of about a dozen specialty coffees, as well as domestic and imported beers and liquors. Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights feature live music from local bands, although there is someone strumming a guitar in the back room nearly every day.
