Spolumbo's has been serving its signature spicy sausages in local restaurants for years, but only recently opened up its warehouse-style diner in Englewood. Considered by many critics to be the best sausage maker in Calgary, it serves its soups, sandwiches and hot meals in a cafeteria-type setting with large glass display cases and heat lamps. There are about 30 tables inside the dining room, which is spacious and decorated with the old football jerseys of the Spolumbo sons. The food is inexpensive; a filling meal rarely exceeds CAD 5.
