Nellie's has always maintained that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and for that reason they serve it all day long. It is especially popular on Saturday and Sunday mornings with the hung-over or still sleepless club-hopping crowd. The meals range between CAD 4-9 and include breakfast favorites like scrambled eggs, pancakes, French toast and hash browns. There is almost always a line-up to get in from 9am-2pm on weekends, but once you are seated, Nellie herself and her staff spare no effort to make sure you are well fed.

  • Nothing.
  • Unsanitary restaurant with gross food. Even the coffee is gross. Horrible service.

“I went to Nellies on 17th for a Sunday brunch. The service was terrible! We were seated for over 20 minutes before getting our order taken. There was an empty coke can on our table from the previous diners that never got cleared. Once our meal came, we only had one knife between the two of us. We had to ask twice for another knife before getting one. Then, when we were ready to leave, our waitress was non-existent and we had to wait 25 minutes to get our bill.

On the the food- first of all, the coffee was disgusting and served in a dirty mug. The hash browns were also disgusting, as were the eggs benny. Very disappointing

And the worst bit of all- the bathrooms. Absolutely disgusting. This is the customer and staff washroom- THERE WAS NO SOAP!!! That's right, NO SOAP! I was completely disgusted. Then, of course, I took a peek in the kitchen. The kitchen is filthy. I will never eat there again and I will tell everyone I know not to eat there. DISGUSTING! ”
