This holdout from the days of Mom & Pop fish and chip restaurants continues to serve its grilled halibut, sole, Boston Bluefish and prawns in classic 1950s style. Squeezed between flashy new coffee shops and designer fashion outlets on the bustling 10th Street strip, it offers a return to deep-fried splendor, serving up huge slabs of fish accompanied by excellent French fries. While the fish is first rate, the daily selection of fresh soups and clam chowders is also well worth sampling. If you are looking for the most food for your money, it would be hard to beat this tiny and pleasant eatery. A full meal with a drink will cost between CAD 5-10, and one serving is often enough for two people.
