This fully licensed cafe/restaurant is in the heart of the (previously industrial) now regenerating area at the foot of Mt Eden--and full of character these parts are--you are very near Auckland's Victorian Mt Eden prison. Soft green and cream walls create a gentle background to the activity inside. Glass doors open to the green leafy courtyard. The menu is varied and interesting--Thai chili chicken soup (NZD8.50), Caesar salad--an exotic version! (NZD15), Whitebait and scallop fritters (NZD16). They are open for breakfast and have counter food, such as panini. They also offer a catering service.
